We’re on the top floor of swan in two king rooms. One is ginormous and the other is normal. Put our dd’s and ds10 in that one lol. We can see illuminations from our room and we will be able to see HS ones as well. Fantastic views!!
That is awesome! We had a great view at Swan last visit. I slightly prefer Dolphin only for the pool and the restaurants/Fuel. We had a nice meal at The Fountain on our first night but had to walk over and back from Swan.
Personally I’d opt for Philly due to the longer connect time.
@bernina I agree with this.

Ugh, found another notebook I want and can use my ap discount. I always find good stuff at ak for some reason. Haven't seen it anywhere but it's all over. Maybe tomorrow. On the hunt for a sweatshirt at mk that's in 2 spots according to the app. Hoping the small or large fit since there are no mediums anywhere on property.Screenshot_2019-08-10-22-19-51.png

I’ve been seeing this around! So cute!
Which sweatshirt are you after? We can try to look. We go in like every store we pass lol.

We went to the dolphin pool today and ate lunch at Picabu. We don’t mind the walk in between the two hotels. Having just been at POR and staying at what might have been the furtherest bldg from the lobby and food, I’m totally fine with this walk ::yes:: Definitely can’t wait to eat at The Fountain!

Looks like you have good options. Have you used your Plat airline incidental credit yet? Can you look to see what the seat selection options are for the 3 itineraries you have - maybe the credit would cover Main Cabin Extra seats?

Otherwise, I'd personally lean toward PHL for the Centurion Lounge to hang out in and get dinner.
@bernina - I agree with the PPs about the PHL being the best option (and I can say I like the nice Centurion lounge there.) Less than 2 hours at O'Hare would make me stressed (says the person who just realized her DH booked a 1 hour 40 minute layover in CDG and isn't happy about it).

And Centurion Lounge?
@bernina I agree with this.

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions. I think it’s an unanimous decision for PHL! I had a moment of panic when I went to purchase the itinerary and it asked for passport info for each of us. The hold doesn’t expire until the 12th but we’re not back home until the 17th. Then I remembered we’re flying so of course have our passports with us 🤦‍♀️

I’m not actually going to buy tonight since I’m exhausted and could make a silly mistake entering passenger info. I thought we only had until the 11th but realized it’s the 12th at midnight.

In trip update news. We arrived at MCO around 8:30, grabbed our luggage and headed up to the Hyatt MCO. Check in was quick and easy, they thanked me for being an Explorist (thanks to @Albort ) and offered free water and upgraded WiFi along with 2pm checkout which we won’t be using. Walked past the pool area on our way to our room and it looked pretty nice. Too late to check it out though. Room is 2 doubles and very nice with a large balcony overlooking the airport control tower and a parking area. Only minor complaint is it was a long walk to our room, but we’re used to AKL and BRV hallways and it was no worse than those.

We had a late dinner at McCoy’s Bar and Grill inside the hotel. Food was very good. I had miso soup, seaweed salad and 2 salmon sashimi. DH had some type of crispy Asian chicken and a cup of their world famous crawfish chowder. DD had a kids pizza which came with a nice side of fruit. Prices weren’t bad. We may end up eating there for breakfast. Kids pay their age for the buffet which is pretty cool. I’d definitely recommend if you have a late arrival or early departure.

Next up MDE over to OKW, swimming, and HS for some evening FP.

That’s awesome! We booked a king room but with no view so I’m not expecting much lol. It’s only for one night though so I’m not too picky

I don’t think we booked a view either. We booked a two queen room and a king room and only requested connecting. They couldn’t accommodate us for that so I think they upgraded us a bit. We’re right next door to the other room. Not complaining at all. POR couldn’t accommodate the connecting rooms either but just said ‘sorry, requests aren’t guaranteed’ and then put us fairly far from each other :mad:

@Haley R - I wanted to like your post, but then I read about your niece and it didn't feel right. Thanks for sharing your day, and I know that I am hoping for the very best outcome from this surgery.
I know, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have put them in the same post but I didn’t want to post twice. I’m not sure when the surgery is but I really hope everything goes okay.

I’m not gonna get my hopes up just in case. I would love an upgrade but I don’t think we’ve ever gotten an upgrade at Disney
