Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Information & Questions

I know! It's DD's favorite (and almost only) meal, with a double side of chips.

I didn't know they had it at Sunshine Seasons! Thanks for the tip, and good luck to you!

It's not on the online menus for Sunshine Seasons anymore :sad::sad::sad:. I know I had one there either last June or June 2016 because my family harassed me for having the same thing for lunch and dinner that day. <sigh> I guess that's one way to force me to try new things. :D

Has anyone there now seen any SWGE info yet?

I am seeing reports of flyers in the rooms and sandwich boards in resort lobbies. Just checking if anyone has images of those things.

I know this might be an odd question but can my mom and I order the kids breakfast waffles no questions ask since the food court is like big cs? I ask this since my mom and i are both gluten free and dairy free, she also can not have pork yes you can have a pork allergy which sucks.

Yes you can certainly order the kids meal and they won’t say anything

Looks like they just made all their sausage chicken so she's in luck there.

We are on our last night to our 2nd stay at AOA! It has been great. Room looked brand new (Cars Suite). Mousekeeping was great. I was only bummed because our arrival day was the last day of their food court’s old menu. No more make your own pasta or surf & surf sandwich. I was lucky enough to get a delicious shrimp pesto pasta before the change but I really wanted that sandwich lol. All in all, another great stay!
Is this a permanent change??? Does anyone know if they will possibly bring back the "make your own pasta" option?? That truly was one of my favorite things about this resort...….bummed.

They just told me that those items were no longer on the menu. And it appears the post above me confirms it. :(

The chicken fried steak and eggs platter for breakfast was so good. I'm not a fan of the bacon at most of QS places and I think only Pop has the flat beef sausage. Ohh well glad to have had it. I'll wait for reviews on the new menu.

That is crazy, because who doesn't like pasta? My 4 picky kids allll eat some variation of pasta all the time.

I know this may come off as snark but I mean it as a sincere question because I want to understand, so please take it at face value:

AoA Little Mermaid costs an average of $79 more per night than All Star Movies Standard Rooms next year. With the food court changes, the long walk from Little Mermaid to lobby/buses, and the fact that AoA Little Mermaid still has double beds, why is AoA LM still worth the extra $$$?

Personal opinion only, but we never thought they were. And apparently others might be feeling the same way as the LM rooms are no longer excluded from discounts.

Although access to the Skyliner is a nice bonus.

For me it would be the combination of just plain liking the resort as a whole better as far as atmosphere, because the theming is top notch to me, and now access to the skyliner is a big deal. I don't dislike All Star Movies by any means, and the renovated rooms are awesome, but the resort as a whole is just kind of whomp whomp for me. I think if you were more focused on the room itself versus the resort as a whole, maybe one would lean more to Movies, but that's just my two cents.

Not snarky at all. You make a good point. I have always stayed at AoA because of the suites. However, if I were staying in LM, I would definitely think twice when it comes to cost. I started staying at AoA before suites were a thing at All Stars. I would imagine the theming (if you want to feel like you are in Disney, there is no better resort IMO), the fact that there is only one bus stop and now the skyliner would make it more enticing. The food court would not be a deal breaker for me, old or updated. Taking all of that into consideration, if the bottom line is the cost, I agree, All Stars are just as nice.

I'm confused...the suites at All Star Music opened in 2005 (or maybe 2006). AoA didn't open until 2012. The suites at ASMu were definitely available way before AoA was even announced.
