Just go an email from IHG letting me know I updated my email address. Luckily they send it to the email address it was changed from as well. Someone changed my email and my location from the US to China. Yeah, took care of that quickly and changed my PIN. Oddly someone booked a room with my points in China a few months back, but IHG reversed it as unauthorized, before I even knew about it.

You have the worst luck with that stuff!

My two youngest kiddos are both doing sports through the Y so 1-2 practices a week each, plus Saturday games. My workplace started allowing flexible schedules about 6 months ago so I go in early (6:15) and get off at 3:00 so I can pick them up from school. Most days I go home and work out and help with homework, then off to practice two nights a week. Thursdays they have art class right after school, which gives me just enough time to go to the grocery store and put the groceries away before I pick them up. It's busy but I love getting to drive them around and see them more in the evenings vs. when I got off at 5 every night. Although the evenings still go so fast! I usually fall asleep when I put them to bed, around 9:30 or 10.

Oh yeah, and I don't like pickles! At least the dill ones. Sweet and bread and butter pickles are pretty good. :)

Any suggestions for Boston hotels? Hoping to do touristy things and Gillette Stadium. The stadium is so far out of town, would love to hear suggestions!

How is your DS doing? I question every day if we made the correct decision about private school as every day DS tells me how much he dislikes it and why does he have to go there. Plus the fact that his class sizes are not much smaller than his public MS. If I had known the majority of his classes where going to have 20+ kids in them, I am not sure I would have jumped ship.
He's doing okay. He's been pretty good for me when I'm helping him with organization or studying but for some reason when my ex and I try to do it together he gets super obnoxious. We are trying to make sure we both know what is going on and he knows we both are going to support him and hold him accountable. Last night was back to school night and I was very impressed with all but one teacher. I'm still worried and anxious about the situation but it is what it is.

Oh, no:( I was hoping it would have gotten better by now. It's only been a month, right? Maybe it's just a matter of him making some good friends.

Those of you that have been on a Disney Cruise to Tortola, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay........what were your favorite excursions and why? We are finally going to start planning a little more for our cruise in November and I was curious. Are Tortola and St. Thomas easy to just walk around on our own or should we stick with excursions?

Another question....when you book excursions do you go through Disney or another company?

I think teenagers run you ragged so you will encourage them to get a license and provide them with a vehicle.

On the other hand, it's amazing to me today how many teenagers delay getting their license. My nephew was almost 18 when he got his, and my BIL was almost 19. My MIL finally had to tell my BIL she would not be driving him to community college everyday and he needed to get a license. I'm pretty sure if I hadn't gotten my license the day I could, my mom would have been like "well... guess you're not going anywhere anymore" :rotfl:

My mom actually pulled me out of school on my birthday to go to the DMV. Then I had to go back because I had to play in band for the football game the night. I didn't get to drive for that as there wasn't time, she just dropped me off. So after I got home that night (it was a Friday) I went to the store for junk food because I was determined to drive somewhere! And, my 16th birthday was on Friday the 13th...

The day I was finally allowed to get my full license was Halloween. I was so mad that my parents wouldn't let me drive anywhere that night, though as an adult now it is completely logical that your new teenaged driver should not be driving for the first time while children are trick or treating lol.

I just did mine yesterday. We don't have many places down here that are on Grubhub. I was kind of disappointed cause I've seen mention of Chick Fil A but it's not showing up. Most everything that comes up for me is weird mom and pop places. I may just have to grab cheesecake each month. Such a bummer 😆

Maybe this is the time to mention that I used my credit at CF yesterday. And, I grabbed a Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake. OMG = that was delicious! I had used my previous couple of credits for a burger at SS. CF was convenient yesterday and I had a bit of lunch there and got the cheesecake to go.

My 17 year old also does not have his license yet. But if he had a schedule like that he would. lol He quit his sport this year so I told him he didn't need a license if he had nowhere to drive to. But he does stay after for clubs twice a week and volunteers at the local library once a week, so told him he could get it this month. I am not ready for the jump in insurance. Ughhhh (Reason for new CIP the other day!) Also, we have one "kid" car and DD21 is living at home and using it to commute to school so not sure what will happen when DS gets his license. The easy answer was supposed to be DD21 needs to buy her own car, but she is hoping to live abroad for 2 years after graduation next year so says she doesn't want to buy a car now for it just to sit next year. I may be going from transporting one kid to transporting the other. Not sure what we will do.

My favorite activity of the fall used to be colorcoding my calendar. Each kid (and adult) got a different color. I miss my crazy colorful calendar days.
We’re in the same boat! One kid car and dd19 always has it since she’s FT in school but still living at home plus working 25-30 hours a week. She could buy a car but with maybe getting into the DCP for a year, it doesn’t make sense.
I have the color coded calendar too. I love it and does help keep me sane!!

My sister turns 17 tomorrow and still doesn’t have a car picked out and my parents are paying for it. (She passed her road test but at 16 in NY you can only drive to work at 17 you have a full license) I got a car right after my sweet 16. I paid for it with gift money I got from my party. My car was 12 years old when I got it and was like 5k. My parents bought my brother a brand new $40,000 truck and it looks like my sister will be getting a new car too. My mother says it’s fair because I picked a party, but my party was not $40,000 lol Between this and not going to my sporting events I think it’s clear I’m not my moms favorite child lol my dad is trying to be fair and will be helping with my student loan payments, but ugh a 17 year old does not need a brand new $40,000 car. Let’s see what my sister picks out lol

Same. And agree. Only, I have to haul the tired preschooler around for this stuff with me.
I’ve been there too and that’s so hard. Thankfully no cranky preschoolers anymore but last night I had to pick up dd17 from dance at 8:30 and head to target so she could talk to a manger about some days off she needs and I had both boys in tow. My dh had a deacon meeting at church (those go til 12am!) so had to take both boys and one is sick so that was fun listening to him whine and moan for an hour. Good times! They say we will miss this one day

This is actually a thing. There are lots of reasons, I think, for this. Main reason might be insurance. It’s ridiculous to add teens. Ours doubled when we added our dd19 when she was 17yo. Add a boy at 16yo and you need a second job!

Agree with you on the 40k car...my kids each drove our used car until they could afford to buy one....
My brother on the other hand just leased a Mercedes sports car for his 20 year old son who just got his license....and the kid isn’t going to college or working :confused3

Tree Limin’ zipline is awesome. In Tortola we went to the Baths. My son hated it but most people love it.
