Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Tried reading through & I’ve looked @ maps, sorry if asked/answered already-

Going back to CBR next week. 1st time Pref section. Was SO bummed Water View gone when booked :guilty: We normally do that & request Jamaica 45-awesome luck getting rooms next to bridge. I locked in Pref to @ least be closer (vs chance in Egypt :rotfl2:)

Standard would be best to book once the Skyliner starts running.

From Pref area, quickest Skyline to use is CBR & since across from Jamaica quickest to walk across bridge. Or, the Riveria station / use the Riveria walkway path?

If in Barbados, CBR Station would be closest. If in Trinidad, Riviera Station would be closest.

Bonus question & sorry bc I do follow that thread, but don’t know for sure? Only the CBR station goes direct to HS?

Correct.

Or, does Riveria go straight there too (w/o transfer @ Jamaica required)?

The only park you can go to directly from the Riviera Station is Epcot.

Will CBR run internal buses to the skyliner station, or all resort guests must walk there? We just booked a huge family reunion at CBR next summer, 14 of us and I should know how best to advise them, thanks!

Can someone advise me what they charge to hold packages? Looking to order a couple of suitcases worth of clothing online to arrive to. I imagine it will come in quite a few packages...

When the Skyliner goes "down" for lightning/mechanical issues, etc.,will they immediately dispatch buses to the Station or will they "funnel" Guests arriving at the Station not knowing the Skyliner is down to the Jamaica Bus Depot?

We rode the skyliner yesterday from Epcot to CBR. They weren’t letting guests board or get off at Riviera. I don’t think the station is officially open yet.

Due to some crazy last-minute trip issues, we switched to CBR yesterday - we arrive Saturday! I haven't stayed at CBR since 2017. We have a preferred room. Is Martinique the best option - in terms of the bus loop and pool location - we don't plan on eating at the food court often. I'm going to call today with a room request - is it just the regular Disney phone number?

And do buses still run to EPCOT even with the Skyliner? My husband is terrified of heights.

Bumping this post -- we arrive tomorrow(!!) and are in a preferred room -- wondering which area is the best option in terms of the Skyliner though. :)

Also - I still have confusion about the most recent items delivery to resort changes. Are groceries included in this? We'd planned to Instacart. Not sure where to go for 100% accurate information, unfortunately.

Staying at CBR for the first time in April. I'm excited to see more information come in from people staying there now that the skyliner is open. I had planned to request Aruba or Jamaica to be closest to one of the skyliner stations. Now I am leaning towards Jamaica for better access to the main CBR station (direct shot to DHS). Keep the info coming and thank you!

We're currently booked at POR for November, but are considering moving our reservation to CBR simply for the skyliner (I'm sure we're not alone). If we do so, would it be best to book a preferred room? Or will that put us far from the skyliner? It's hard to tell from the map. I'm trying to tell where the best balance is between access to the skyliner, drink refill station and the buses.

If for the Skyliner alone, no as the Preferred Views are the farthest away from either Skyliner Station.

Or will that put us far from the skyliner?

Yup.

Every Village has its own bus stop so you'll never be far from one no matter where you are. Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are both closer to OPR and the Main Feature pool as some of the Preferred View rooms and still close to both Skyliner Stations.

We're staying at CB next year. We stayed there before all the construction was complete. Now that it is, it looks like there is a new entrance. Is the route still the same or is it different. Last time we were in Jamaica and we were the second to the last drop off/pick up. Is this still true?

Yes, there is a stop at the CBR station for the internal bus. If you get off at Riviera, you can take the internal bus from the Aruba station, which is close.

We boarded and got off at Riviera several times. When you exit, they ask where you’re going, only in order to direct you.
