Enjoying reading about your mother/daughter trip! It's wonderful you have something you both love and can experience together. Too much to comment on but I will chime in on the MNSSHP. I hate that these events are being so oversold. I know Disney needs to pay for all the new lands, skyliner, etc. but seriously. It seems to be bordering on greed. We have a 4 night trip planned for next March. When I add up all the costs, it's more than a recent 10 day trip out West visiting several national parks. I'm seriously considering whether it's worth it. Sorry for being a downer but I'm hoping enough people complain that Disney will take it to heart. But, probably not as long as people continuing going and buying the party tickets. It seems it must be getting unaffordable for many families. That being said, I do love Disney!

Usually, for us, it comes in threes. I expect two more appliances... wait... We also had to replace our lawn and I installed railings on our deck...

One if my favorite things about Jaws is the suspense, I love that you don’t even see the shark for quite sometime!

Welcome to The most crowd MNSSHP we have ever experienced!!

Yeah... that was my experience as well, this year. But maybe not as bad as you had it.

Andi and I have been attending MNSSHP since 2013 and we absolutely love this party! After this year I will have to change love to loved. This was literally so crowded, like Nightmare before doing anything this evening, crowded!

Hmmm...
I do know that early on in the party I was thinking "This will be my last party", but by the end of the night, I'd changed my mind.

I wanted a picture with my Jack and Sally dress, not the best oh well!

Not the best? I disagree! I really like this photo!

I did get a picture of Andi in front of a peanut M&M. This is the only peanut she can be close to

I thought Andi would want to add a pin to her enormous collection, however, she couldn’t decide on one so she passed foow.

I know you meant to say "for now", but I thought "I bet "foow" was the sound she made when she couldn't decide!"

I wanted to check the wait for the 7 Dwarfs since they are hidden now, the meet is where Goofy and Donald usually meet, the wait was about 1 hour per the CM.

I've been... three times? four? And have never seen the 7 dwarfs. I have no idea where they are. Then or now.

This is the first party I have seen CM’s holding a sign stating line starts here

We saw a magic mirror photo shot and did this. It really wasn’t anything great once we got the pictures in our PhotoPass collection.

Yeah... While you both look lovely, it's not... entirely... magical.

This and the parade were my favorite parts of the party! It was so nice to visit with Tracy and her friend.

We all decided to do Buzz together. This was fun and of course, I got Tracy’s picture not ours.

The ladies were impressed with Andi’s galactic hero status, I was not since she doesn’t help her mother!

This is normally a good time to do attractions, however, this night all the wait times stayed high even during fireworks, ugh!

Wow. Really busy!

We walked on and enjoyed the live actors in the queue and on the ride.

They were great! Better this year than before, I thought.

There was a lady pirate with red hair yelling at Captain Barbosa

Oh! I didn't have her on my ride. There was a lady pirate, but she was in the loading queue area.

Normally this area is minimally crowded for the 2nd parade. Tonight it was packed.

Oh, geez. I usually tell people to go to the second parade. I remember when I went the first time... there was no one on Main St.

There was a young man across from us, maybe Andi’s age and he was a joy to watch. He literally stood and danced the entire wait time and the whole parade time.

Let me know what your price per person ends up being. I am thinking we were seriously overcharged!

$56/person for Candlelight processional dining package breakfast. So our total for 4 people was $238.56 with tax. They changed it so the dining package has to be prepaid this year. But it is nice that that meal is already paid for, and we don't have to do it that day, aside from tip. Anyway, yeah, sounds like they maybe overcharged you. Doesn't seem like the regular breakfast would be the same as the dining package prices....

Thank you for your review on MNSSHP! This has been on my bucket list but unless they make some changes for next year, I will probably sit it out. We did MVMCP last year and loved it but the rides were hardly over 15 minutes except for maybe 7DMT which I only ride with a FP (if at all). It was a great night for us because we got so much done and didn't have to plan any order, we had so much fun riding whatever we wanted as we walked by because we could! So if the crowds are bad at MNSSHP I don't think we would have as good of a time.

I'm wondering if it's purely due to the new unlimited pass, or if they've raised their caps on tickets. I can't imagine word of mouth was enough to make this year so much more popular than past years. It's good to know you went on the same day in the past since some days are historically more/less busy and it isn't always an apples to apples comparison!

The parade looks so fun and I would like to see it some day. Your dress is so cute! So much candy, I know I'd definitely prefer that to the little packaged cookies at the Christmas party.

I'm excited to hear about the tour!!!

We had the exact same experience last month. MNSSHP was rerally, really crowded. I too wish Disney would stop over selling these special after-hours events. They aren't as enjoyable anymore. The lines for everything are waaaaay longer than years past.

This party had always been my most favorite event, I still love it but not all the crowds! It is so hard to do all the different things special to a party!
I sure hope they don’t increase the numbers at the DAH at MK.

No this has always been the breakfast here! It really is good but not the price we paid!

$60!!!!!!!!!! That is just insane. We don't eat character meals very often and I think you just solidified that we never will again. For that much you could eat a really good meal at a signature restaurant.

It was crazy, I think we were overcharged!

have to see this someday. Its always a trailer for something when we are there.

The Walt Disney film is the best in there, very good, check it out a least once!

Oh I want to eat here for these alone. They look and sound delicious.

The Parker Rolls with the different spreads are really good!

This dish was very good, I was surprised how well this was done!

We ate breakfast there on our trip and loved it. Will definitely have to go back for dinner too

Let me echo what others are saying about how important your job is as a nurse! I'm sure there are parts of the job that aren't at all glamorous, and it must be exhausting a lot of the time! But nurses are amazing—thank you for doing this job! When I had my neurosurgery, I was a hot mess to deal with, but my nurses were exceptional and really got us through it!

Ahh Thank you! One awesome thing about being a RN is it is never boring and you can do so many different things during your career, I do like that.
I’m so happy you had great nurses when you were in the hospital, it really makes a difference!

Oh man. This sucks! Our party was crowded, too, but it seems like yours might have been even worse.

By far the busiest party we had experienced! It was even more crowded than our Christmas party during Thanksgiving weekend!

This is so disappointing. I like to think that Walt wouldn't want it to be this way. It seems so greedy.

Again, so disappointing. I remember going to my first party (Christmas) with my mom probably 7-8 years ago, and it felt like the park was empty. We had never splurged on anything like that at Disney before and felt like it was totally worth it. If I hadn't had that experience to compare it to, I'd never believe parties used to be like that. We had a pretty crowded party in August, and I've got a Christmas party booked for next month, but I'm beginning to regret it. This might be our last year for parties unless something changes.

I know! Our first Christmas party was like a ghost town, it was so quiet, we loved it! The MNSSHP use to be amazing with low crowds, oh well, the parade and atmosphere made it worth it!

I'm glad you managed to have some fun despite the crowds. How great that you got to meet Tracy! I met her in 2015 and she was delightful. You also got a great haul of candy!

I really thought a Tuesday in August would not be as crowded, I was wrong!
The party was fun, it was just less fun solely because of the crowds!
Tracy is so sweet, I am so glad to meet her finally. We have been conversing on here for quite some time! My son and husband loved all the candy!

I have loved this party so much. I would brag about to anyone that would listen for years and this party was such a let down. There were LINES FOR EVERYTHING! I seriously believe, without any scientific proofDisney is now selling double the amount they use to, it was that crowded!!
I do love Disney and may even attend another MNSSHP in the future but not for awhile! I’m with you after all that I do love WDW!

I loved this addition, The HM bride was awesome, great detail and I loved how she was on a motorized type of thing, really cool!

We were seriously overcharged!! I did enjoy it so that was a plus! Have fun at CP, I wanted to go so bad this yea, wish I could have swung it!

You are very welcome! Please don’t let my crowded night scare you away! If it is on your bucket list give it a try! This has always been my absolute favorite add on event at Disney hands down! This party was just so overly crowded! I would say it was like a 7-8 crowd level day at MK.
The parties use to be like a 2-3 crowd level day so way less crowded.
The party is fun and if you get the chance I would say do it. The trick or treating and the parade are totally worth the cost in my opinion. I have been to the Christmas party 3 times and to me it just doesn’t come close to being as good as the MNSSHP for me!
