The ABCs of a New 'Ohana Adventure-G is for: Greetings From Teppan, Good-Byes, and Good News!!! - COMPLETED 1/7

Travel day can beat the crap out of you or actually be enjoyable. I think yours was more enjoyable than not.

I think all in all it was pretty smooth sailing. I do wish I could get a bit more sleep heading out though.

Your “crappy” pictures are my better pictures:rotfl:The pictures are just fine my friend.

Well, thanks! Still wish I had my long lens for a few situations.

We have not been to Jock’s yet and plan to remedy this in January

Make sure to look around you at all the fun theming stuff! Or better yet, ask to sit in the diving bell booth.

RR is a good choice. Great seats to watch the dancers.

I think the 2nd tier seats are better than the floor seats. No next craning!

I think the manager could have handled it much differently geesh, rather full of himself. Doesn’t surprise me of late. The customer is always right adage is going out the window even at Disney!

It was such a bizarre comment! Like my whole job at Disney is to puff you up? Weird!

Congratulations on grand baby!
Still waiting! Hurry up, Baby!

Many times the DIS has not notified me of updates, but this time I'm to blame. I saw the update on one computer, but then had to stop the DIS for something else and then never came back to it. So, successive updates took me further down and I forgot to scroll back up to read (or respond). Mea Culpa.

No worries. I"m pages and pages and PAGES behind on EVERYONE'S. I plan to spend my weekened catching up though. I don't get reliable notifications either so totally understand. I don't dare click on a thread unless I can answer right then, because I'll never find my way back to where I left off. :(

I thought you liked despicable me? You could have used "Y is for Yay or No Yay!"

LOL! I do, and that would have been very clever!

Considering the quality of your photos, this is okay.

HEY! Wait! I've been with you when you're taking photos. There is no way you could have gotten a zillion in the time you were there. I call BS.
;)

I can and have taken loads of time to compose a shot, but a lot of the time, I''m simply taking quicker snaps. TBH, I should go back and count my totals, but I haven't even downloaded them from my SD cards yet.... just Day 1's card so far. That one had 274 and my phone had another 60. Most are crap or duplicates, of course.

I've found since I live here in Orlando, I can go to the parks and do nothing but walk around and people watch and I'm okay with that. Not that the thrill is gone, I just don't feel the need to rush rush rush and try to jam in as much as possible anymore.

Nice! Time to enjoy the parks the way the Imgineers appreciate!

Pretty sure your last TR, you did as well (I think the pool area at Poly or GF?)

Well, hmm... I never went to the GF pool at all, so it wasn't there. I did nap at the Poly Pool with the kids, but haven't gotten there yet. But yes, Disney naps (always very short) have been taken on occasion.

Pkondz already covered this, but I'm pretty sure they have laws against this. Also, you'd have to trudge them up 3 flights of stairs.

You guys take all the fun out of theivery.

Crafts style as in you can color on it? I'll go with burnt sienna again! ;)

No ;) But here's a good article on what I DO mean.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arts_and_Crafts_movement

You ate leaves?

No, they were made of white chocolate and I detest white chocolate.

I was thinking you're not at the Portland airport, why are you taking pictures of the carpet? Then I saw the hidden mickey.

There were also hidden Chip and Dales but I didn't post that one.

Looks comfy and perfectly nap worthy.

It's such a lovely space!!

So, in DL, it's a ride, not a show?

Correct. A classic dark ride with animatronics and such. It's cute, but not amazing.

Don't worry, unlike the bear, the Yeti doesn't poop (or pee) in the woods, they're safe. Oh wait, that's not the woods, that's just yeller snow. Ruh roh.

Their lemon!! mmm!

I don't have much success with my good camera. I'm still not very good with settings I guess.

I've gotten some good ones with mine, but honestly it's a lot of good old fashioned luck.

I had one given to me, but I'm not quite sure where it's at now. I've checked the bags I typically take to WDW, but haven't found it.

Hope you find it!

Well, duh. If they can charge you an arm and a leg for a fuel rod, why would they want you to use their electricity for FREE???

True, but they also forget that there are cheap shops right across the street that sell chargers and stuff too. In some ways it's actually BAD business. Most folks at some point use their (charged) phones for mobile ordering, shopping online, you know, stuff that generates $$$.

Wasn't a fan of "mardi gras Christmas", but then maybe I'm just a purist and feel the two should not be mixed.

Otherwise, the pictures were great as normal, but yeah, I can see why you're proud of that one...GREAT shot.
I can see that, but still thought the colors were fantastic. Loved all the jewel tones!

Fantasmic is AMAZING at DLR. WAY, WAYYYYYYYYY better there.

I hope you hear soon about your daughter. Waiting and not knowing can be hard.
This is one of my favorite lounges;
We like to sit out on the deck and watch the boats go past. They also serve a Singapore Sling, a drink that was popular in the 1970's. :)

I felt something was missing…. Hmmm… what could it be?
Did you leave your souvenir mug behind?
“You really need your card, Ma’am, but tonight we’ll let it go. But I want to thank you! Tonight, you get to be the one who let me do a good deed and helped me feel good about myself.”

) am I wrong it thinking it should be extremely easy for them to look up cardholders? 3) if he'd argued and wouldn't honor it, would you have been irritated?
We have purchased several TiW cards in the past so I totally understand why you want to get your money's worth. To be honest, I would have been very happy to have him give us the discount without having the card. The TiW cards are not on the same system and I don't believe they are capable of looking them up. I would have taken his comment about doing you a favor as a "tongue in cheek" kind of thing.

I think you got lucky. I have had them refuse to give me the discount when returned to the restaurant with the card after we paid the bill.

There it is!

grab some of those chips and dip you’ve stashed away for Thursday
But, but, but, it's Wednesday!

Now, let’s get this WDW Trip ticked off!
Assaulting walls and now you're getting trips mad at you?

Kicked!! I meant kicked off....
Oh.

either you have never been, or you don’t vacation like we do.
Well, no...some of us are smart enough to live on the East coast so we don't have to be sleep deprived on arrival. :rotfl2:

Then again, we’d have about as much chance of that as Disney lowering ticket prices
So, never gonna happen. Check.

My real motivation was that I wanted to hit up DTD for dinner
Your normal first stop...not surprised and good choice.

liverwurst (tease all you want; we love it!)
I won't tease, just say BLECH!

Cheetos (yes, I actually like them too), and apples.
Other than aforementioned liverwurst, you chose well.

Instead we joked about there being something fishy about this.

At least it wasn't one of @Captain_Oblivious Mark's dam fish!

Sure, that might sound sucky, but I did love my entire row to myself. I was pretty happy.

So, is that going to Disney happy or whole row to myself happy?

Wanna take bets on which one I stood in front of for 10 minutes?
I'm gonna go with the wrong one.

After a stern talking to about keeping phones on, communicating clearly, blah, blah, blah (which was coincidentally the EXACT same conversation I had with them in 2016 and probably every trip we’ve ever taken as a family to WDW)
And they probably looked at you (or didn't) as if you were the teacher in Charlie Brown.
charlie_brown_teacher.jpg
I'm sure they were thinking we were at the right one, why weren't you?

our 6:30 ADR at Raglan
:woohoo:

Aren't Disney smiles fantastic smiles?

Yes, they are.

Zach was the first to chime in and REALLY wanted to eat at Raglan again. It was, and remains, one of his favorite places in all of WDW.
Zach has good taste in restaurants. Get Tiffins to be his favorite and he's getting better.

In 2016, we’d gotten a perfect hightop table on the 2nd tier. This time, 5 minutes later, we were seated at the exact same table. SCORE!!!!
Score! party:

You know, things that make you go… hmmm…..
Should I call you Arsenio next time we meet?

You, over there who is about to comment on my drink spilling: Remember I have good aim!
Hey you, with the rum on your shirt...don't you know you're supposed to drink it? Don't you know Disney puts no real alcohol in there?

As for your aim...good luck hitting me 3 time zones away!

This chapter is definitely starting to drag a bit, so let’s throw in some story that is bordering on worth reading, shall we?
ZZZzzzzzzzzz....Hmprhf....huh?....what? Oh, yes, I was awake teacher. Just checking my eyelids for leaks.

I’m sure I don’t know or understand the system or how it works, but doesn’t it stand to reason that they could look up active cards/cardholders at any given moment with a database? Basic. VERY basic. So basic even I know that it can be done.
Should is the operative word there. Problem is, you're talking about Disney tech!!!!

Word for word. Not even a little bit exaggerating or changing. I literally don’t know how he sleeps at night, but that’s how our night at Raglan ended.
That's kinda messed up. Be nice about it and helpful and then be a nickname for Richard about it?

4 diners, $80. Not too bad considering it comes with entertainment!
Not at all.

Just as we’d gotten to the bus area (do you have ANY idea how far of a trek that is?!)
Yes I do. Approximately half the distance to the moon.

Hmmm… what could it be?
I'm hoping not your camera again, but considering it's not a rental car, hopefully not.

Was I over-reacting to the TIW card thing? What would you have done (besides take it in the first place). Things to consider: 1) The card/prvilege did cost me $175 so naturally I wanted to use it as much as possible, 2) am I wrong it thinking it should be extremely easy for them to look up cardholders? 3) if he'd argued and wouldn't honor it, would you have been irritated?
1) Naturally (reminds me of who's on first skit)
2) As I said, it SHOULD be, but this is Disney tech we're talking about.
3) Yes, but then again, since you didn't have the card, I could understand as well
Notwithstanding #2 above, it would be good if it could be tied to the magicband so you wouldn't need to carry the card.

And lastly, a very Happy Thanksgiving to each one of you celebrating on Thursday. Count your blessings and find a moment to be thankful for all you have. Enjoy your family and friends and may your digestion find adequacy.
It will be a greater than normal thanks in thanksgiving for both of us. You as a new(again) grandma and me as having a week off before I start the new job and really thankful to be leaving this one.

Wait, are shucks fun?
Tasty. But that's with oysters involved.
Then your theory is...?
That there were several benches there. And they took them all. Walt's not around anymore to ask him which one in particular was the "Ah ha!" bench... and it doesn't really matter. I'm sure he sat on several and the idea percolated while he sat on all of them.
No, that's at US. Unless there's been a company merger I didn't know about.
Dang it!! I always wanted to see someone get booted from there.
Then you'd still be waiting. I didn't get kicked out. Laughed at, yes. But kicked out? No.
When they saw him awake, they came over to ask him if he was okay, and went on to explain that it's their policy to check on people sleeping to make sure they aren't having any sort of medical emergency like a blood sugar issue or siezure or something.
Huh!

Going back to read now...

Bear with me as I get re-oriented after my travels and tough week.
Not gonna give you any pity for the California part, but... tough week? Sorry to hear that.
Hope this week goes better. :)
On a brighter note, my daughter is in labor and it shouldn't be too much longer til Baby Declan arrives. I'll post a few baby pix as I get them. :)
Wonderful! Hope everything goes well. :)
ETA!!! If you are friends with me on FB, please don't post anything there. They are very private and don't want their own friends to know.
Wilco
Ah yes. Your classic PDX carpet shot. :)
In one sense, “the travel chapter” is that dreaded one; the one that’s both expected and loathed.
A necessary evil...
If you can’t stand the riveting drama, please feel free to skip this chapter altogether.
No way. You're writing is too fun to skip anything.
And I'd miss little gems like...
(If you’re American that is; if you’re Canadian maybe a Coffee Crisp),
Can I have a Caramilk instead? Not a fan of coffee, so not a fan of Coffee Crisp.
Now, let’s get this WDW Trip ticked off!

Kicked!! I meant kicked off....
 Go to Raglan without your TIW card and do both!
Nothing like starting off a trip with a completely depleted rest tank.
Yep. That's me on my last trip to the world.
If you think going to Disney is going to be a vacation that replenishes that, either you have never been, or you don’t vacation like we do.
::yes::
I deliberately chose a flight on Alaska
Really! That's a 45 hour drive from Portland to Anchorage. Impressed!
they have the only non-stop to MCO from Portland,
Kidding aside... that surprises me. I would've thought that DAL, UAL or AAL would have some.
there was small chance in Hades we’d get the Disney plane.
Well... Florida is pretty hot, so...
Then again, we’d have about as much chance of that as Disney lowering ticket prices.
Ah. Less than zero. Gotcha.
After missing a couple (too many!) flights,
Really? You've missed flights because of being late???
Or are you referring to missed connections? That's altogether a different thing.
I had made some spaghetti earlier in the week and we made a feast of that
Yum! Want now.
liverwurst (tease all you want; we love it!)
No teasing here. I love it too. On rye bread please!
I know you can relate- it’s every Disney traveler anywhere, ever.
::yes::
I PayPal'd her roomie the $50 I said I'd pay her thinking that was very fair as an Uber would have cost more and I'm not sure they even run at 3:00AM.
Nice of you and I'm sure she appreciated it.
The airport is creepy at 3:40AM
Oh? How so?
Now that looks creepy.
Here's what 4:00AM looks like:
They look pretty good... but, yes... also tired. :)
I did love my entire row to myself.
Nice! Lie down to fly!
Okay... I know you're going to WDW, but... that's way too chipper for 6am!!
Zach entertained himself with playing Ground Control on his phone
What's that?
we busted out lunch.
That looks yummy! (except for the Cheetos. Not a fan)
awww...
I lollygagged while they went ahead to the bathrooms, but there are 2 sets, one on each side of the fake-o-rail entry area. Wanna take bets on which one I stood in front of for 10 minutes?
 Of course!
I would've been happy to have listened in on the ensuing conversation...
(which was coincidentally the EXACT same conversation I had with them in 2016 and probably every trip we’ve ever taken as a family to WDW)
:lmao:
we were ON our ME by 4:00.
At first I thought that was 4am... had to do the quick math...
and in no time, we were headed to Jamaica.
But you just got to Florida!
We got exactly the room I’d requested- a corner, 2nd floor, waterview.
Score!
Aren't Disney smiles fantastic smiles?
::yes:: Lovely kids. :)
No, neither drink had more than a bees fart worth of booze.
:rotfl:
Reggie's Revenge Florida Cane Orange Vodka, Midori Melon Liqueur, White Cranberry Juice, and fresh Lime Juice;
It tasted bad? That actually sounds really good!
Zach was the first to chime in and REALLY wanted to eat at Raglan again. It was, and remains, one of his favorite places in all of WDW.
I liked it there too. Not surprised he wanted to go back.
Cute photo. :)
When we checked in I made myself a nuisance and asked for a table near the stage and told them we’d be more than happy to wait up to 30 minutes for one.
Not a nuisance. At least I don't think so. I would've done the exact same thing.
...and Snapchat to know all about it. It was something I was going to have to get used to.
:rolleyes1
I can feel your judging on the top quality of these photos.
Nope. I usually just use my phone for that. I don't write dining reports where it's maybe more important.
I'm just usually pointing out what I got... not worried about how it looks, overly much.
Bangin' Bangers & Mighty Mash: Cheshire heritage pork Irish banger, mashed potato and traditional onion gravy $22.00
Yum. Sounds good!
I’m curious about exactly what heritage the pork actually had. Was its grandfather a wealthy banker? Did his mother’s side have a hint of South American that no one really knows the story about? "Cheshire"... was its heritage one of constant grinning?
:lmao:
His father invested heavily in pork bellies. He came into money on his deathbed. Sad... but lucrative.
And here, I had to wonder just a little how they import the Irish peat to smoke the potatoes. You know, things that make you go… hmmm…..
They only had to figure it out once. After that, they just re-peat the process.
You, over there who is about to comment on my drink spilling: Remember I have good aim!
Who, me?

:rolleyes1
I was taking the photos of my girls when I glanced at the portrait behind them. I recognized that dancer, Hannah, and evidently, she hung up her shoes at Raglan just a year after we watched her perform in 2016.
That's pretty cool. I wouldn't have remembered the name... or the person.

Me: "Look! It's generic dancer!"
This chapter is definitely starting to drag a bit
Nope!
So basic even I know that it can be done.
So basically, you're saying it's basically basic?
But I want to thank you! Tonight, you get to be the one who let me do a good deed and helped me feel good about myself.”
Um... okay? If you have to gloat/proclaim it, then… you're not really doing it for someone else, are you?
Gee, it's like he's saying he has a quota.
the bread service was complementary.
455164
"Love the hair! And that dress is to die for!"
Just as we’d gotten to the bus area (do you have ANY idea how far of a trek that is?!) from Raglan, I felt something was missing…. Hmmm… what could it be?
Phone. Betting it's your phone.
look for little details that go unnoticed by most-
I really like that! I should try to do that more, myself.
Is it weird that I also like to use the time in lines to listen to the BGM (background music) or audio loops?
Depends... do you listen to the BGM that's playing in the area, or on your phone?
There are absolutely NO wrong answers here as we are all unique and there are simply no wrong ways to vacation. Even if you sashay.
Thanks!....

Hey!!!
(little gems like that)
Was I over-reacting to the TIW card thing? What would you have done (besides take it in the first place). Things to consider: 1) The card/prvilege did cost me $175 so naturally I wanted to use it as much as possible, 2) am I wrong it thinking it should be extremely easy for them to look up cardholders? 3) if he'd argued and wouldn't honor it, would you have been irritated?
Everyone reacts differently.
1. I may have commented: "Oh, shoot. I forgot to bring my TIW card. Oh well." and not given it another thought.
2. I don't know the logistics. It may be anywhere from easy to impossible. I would doubt restaurants have files, but Disney does... how hard is it to contact them and confirm it? I don't know.
3. He wouldn't argue because I wouldn't have insisted. It's my own fault for not bringing it. I would have only been irritated with myself for forgetting it.

I hope you hear soon about your daughter. Waiting and not knowing can be hard.

It sure can, but in the end, he arrived and mom and baby are doing fine.

We like to sit out on the deck and watch the boats go past. They also serve a Singapore Sling, a drink that was popular in the 1970's. :)

I love that too. The last couple of times I was there I was seated outside on the "boat" and loved to watch those boats, including the Amphicars.

Did you leave your souvenir mug behind?

Next update later this weekend... ;)

I love Doc's suggestion of linking them to the MB so there is no question and need to carry it; especially on arrival day when you're tired and discombubulated. Perhaps if I hadn't been up since 2:00AM and running on fumes, his comment would have been funnier.

I think you got lucky. I have had them refuse to give me the discount when returned to the restaurant with the card after we paid the bill.

OH wow! I honestly had no idea they were so stickler about it. It still flabbergasts me there isn't a workaround for this.

There it is!

Portland: Setting trends in beer, doughnuts, coffee and airport carpet selfies.....

But, but, but, it's Wednesday!

Nope, it's Thursday! Happy Thanksgiving, Doc.

Assaulting walls and now you're getting trips mad at you?

Kinda like that.

Well, no...some of us are smart enough to live on the East coast so we don't have to be sleep deprived on arrival. :rotfl2:

Maybe someday.

Hopefully someday.

Your normal first stop...not surprised and good choice.

There are so many good choices!!

I won't tease, just say BLECH!

More for me!

At least it wasn't one of @Captain_Oblivious Mark's dam fish!

Akin to his dam good stories.

Er, maybe that was his good dam stories.

So, is that going to Disney happy or whole row to myself happy?

The best of both Worlds!!

I'm gonna go with the wrong one.

Ding, ding, ding! Give that dog a bone!

And they probably looked at you (or didn't) as if you were the teacher in Charlie Brown.
charlie_brown_teacher.jpg

LOL!!! I'm certain it was exactly like that.

Zach has good taste in restaurants. Get Tiffins to be his favorite and he's getting better.

Maybe if I'm traveling alone with him. Otherwise too much $$.

Should I call you Arsenio next time we meet?

I've been called worse.

Hey you, with the rum on your shirt...don't you know you're supposed to drink it? Don't you know Disney puts no real alcohol in there?

As for your aim...good luck hitting me 3 time zones away!

LOL! That sticky mess on your shirt of simple syrup from a bottle poured over far too much ice...? that one?

Should is the operative word there. Problem is, you're talking about Disney tech!!!!

It sucks.

That's kinda messed up. Be nice about it and helpful and then be a nickname for Richard about it?

Correct. Left a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth, but at Wood Nymph pointed out, it was probably tongue and cheek and was lost on me in my extreme fatigue.

I'm hoping not your camera again, but considering it's not a rental car, hopefully not.

Nope, not the camera. ;) Update later this weekend.

I adore that idea! Let's petition for it!

It will be a greater than normal thanks in thanksgiving for both of us. You as a new(again) grandma and me as having a week off before I start the new job and really thankful to be leaving this one.

Absolutely!!

Tasty. But that's with oysters involved.

I've never once had a raw oyster. Too a'scared!

That there were several benches there. And they took them all. Walt's not around anymore to ask him which one in particular was the "Ah ha!" bench... and it doesn't really matter. I'm sure he sat on several and the idea percolated while he sat on all of them.

Now that's actually a plausible theory I can stand on.

The theory, not the bench.

Then you'd still be waiting. I didn't get kicked out. Laughed at, yes. But kicked out? No.

Which begs the question, did you get the white or the black napkin?

Not gonna give you any pity for the California part, but... tough week? Sorry to hear that.
Hope this week goes better. :)

It didn't. But hey, who's counting.

We had an extremely tragic death at work of one of our MAs. 27 years old, and 28 weeks pregnant who suddenly passed away from a pulmonary embolism. They saved the baby but she too passed away a few days after her C-section. They were able to keep mom on life support for 3 hours until they could take the baby, but... it's been a very grief-filled atmosphere all week. She'd only been married a few months. :(

Wonderful! Hope everything goes well. :)

Mom and Baby are doing fine.

Ah yes. Your classic PDX carpet shot. :)

It must be done.

No way. You're writing is too fun to skip anything.
And I'd miss little gems like...

Thanks, PK. I enjoy writing and chronicling (sp?) the trips.

Can I have a Caramilk instead? Not a fan of coffee, so not a fan of Coffee Crisp.

I'll allow it.

 Go to Raglan without your TIW card and do both!

LOL!! Go me!

Yep. That's me on my last trip to the world.

I hope things are going better and you are rested going into the Holiday Season!

Really! That's a 45 hour drive from Portland to Anchorage. Impressed!

I drive fast. Only 40 for me.

Kidding aside... that surprises me. I would've thought that DAL, UAL or AAL would have some.

All of those are 1) more $$ and 2) connect through ORD or DEN or something like that.

Really? You've missed flights because of being late???
Or are you referring to missed connections? That's altogether a different thing.

Yes, from being late. I had been told, "We don't need to be there that early. I don't like sitting around."

Great, now you can sit around for a LOT more hours while you wait for the next flight.

No teasing here. I love it too. On rye bread please!

... with yellow mustard?

Oh? How so?

Lights are dimmed. NO shops except a couple are open. The coffee shops are JUST opening (we Oregonians DO have our priorities!), maintenance is still going on, security is as quiet as a graveyard....

Now that looks creepy.

See?!

Okay... I know you're going to WDW, but... that's way too chipper for 6am!!

Hehe! I was going to Disney!

I also had a stiff latte onboard. ;)

What's that?

It's a GameBoy game that let's you play Ground Controller at an airport. You assign gates, give clearances for pushback, assign taxiing routes, etc...

 Of course!
I would've been happy to have listened in on the ensuing conversation...

I was irritated, but it all cleared up quickly and we were on our merry way again.

At first I thought that was 4am... had to do the quick math...

Nope, it's a 5.5 hour flight plus a 3 hour additionn of time zones.

::yes:: Lovely kids. :)

I'm rather fond of them. :)

It tasted bad? That actually sounds really good!

It was sickly sweet and just not very tasty.

Not a nuisance. At least I don't think so. I would've done the exact same thing.

I'm there FOR the show. The food is good of course, but why go only to sit in a booth that you can't see. The food isn't THAT great to go for alone, imho. However, there are plenty of folks who think the food IS that good and do. But for us, it's totally about the music and dancing.

Nope. I usually just use my phone for that. I don't write dining reports where it's maybe more important.
I'm just usually pointing out what I got... not worried about how it looks, overly much.

Me neither, really. Unless maybe for signature dining where I will pay more attention and write a bit more.

:lmao:
His father invested heavily in pork bellies. He came into money on his deathbed. Sad... but lucrative.

:lmao:

They only had to figure it out once. After that, they just re-peat the process.

Bah, dum, dum

Oopsies.

That's pretty cool. I wouldn't have remembered the name... or the person.

Me: "Look! It's generic dancer!"

Her blonde hair was pretty memorable.

So basically, you're saying it's basically basic?
Basicallly.

Um... okay? If you have to gloat/proclaim it, then… you're not really doing it for someone else, are you?
Gee, it's like he's saying he has a quota.

I guess... seemed just.. not really malicious or intentionally as a dig, but more... odd.

455164

"Love the hair! And that dress is to die for!"

Hey, I'll take those!

Phone. Betting it's your phone.

Good guess... next chapter coming up soon.

Depends... do you listen to the BGM that's playing in the area, or on your phone?

No, playing in the area. Always well chosen or better yet, in some areas, original scores.

Thanks!....

Hey!!!
(little gems like that)

Peekaboo.

I imagine if they had to call, it'd be too time intensive for a busy manager to do. I get that. I realize it was my responsibility, but... this probably happens on occasion and you'd sure think there'd be a solution that doesn't cost time on their part or money on the customer's.

I sent the kids outside to explore while I checked us in and in no time, we were headed to Jamaica.

Nice! Jamaica is my favourite.

Aren't Disney smiles fantastic smiles?

They sure are!

When I started asking the kids which places they wanted to eat at and throwing out suggestions, Zach was the first to chime in and REALLY wanted to eat at Raglan again. It was, and remains, one of his favorite places in all of WDW.

Interesting! This will be our first meal for our December trip, and we've actually never had dinner here before, only brunch. We're looking forward to it!

I got, and I poop you not, “You really need your card, Ma’am, but tonight we’ll let it go. But I want to thank you! Tonight, you get to be the one who let me do a good deed and make me feel good about myself.”

Word for word. Not even a little bit exaggerating or changing. I literally don’t know how he sleeps at night, but that’s how our night at Raglan ended.

Hmmmmm....this is very strange! I'd definitely be put off by this.
