Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Does anyone know if the AK CL has Frangelico? I thought there used to be a specific thread for AK CL, but couldn't find it. I read in post 26,268 that BC CL has it and Baileys.
I don't think all the club levels have the same liqueurs. I sure would like AK CL have Frangelico when I am there in July. I have read of people requesting things, do you think I could proactively reach out to them and ask them to have it?

the cordials at AKL CL currently are:
Kahlua
Taylor Fladgate 10 year Tawny Porto
Grand Marnier
Frangelico
Amarula

Just noting that trail from WL to FW is closed at the moment given Reflections construction.

Your DH is bold getting over there from Poly! :earseek: Far more brave than me!
I didn’t even think of that! It’s been a few years since we stayed in the Poly, definitely pre-Reflections construction. So scratch my previous recommendation. If she really needs to get her miles in, she can probably loop around GF’s walkways, Poly’s walkways, TTC, Poly parking lot. What else is there? SoG?

Yeah, I told him there’s wildlife. He doesn’t really listen to me. :rotfl2: .

I’m more worried about WDW drivers than wildlife! Lol!

A couple of 7/4’s ago I was feeling the need to do my own Peachtree Road Race (6.2 miles) while at Poly. Here was my path per RunTracker - lots of back and forth, and evidently my GPS thought I was out in the water at one point.

I like the SOG idea, will have to try it. Not sure how far you can go over there, but it’d probably be good for a quick change of scene for a bit.

Just a note on the SOG idea my understanding from the times I stayed there, with my family in the service, is that the resort requires access via being a registered guest hosted by a member of the service (or eligible member) or have a military ID. I was told it’s access is restricted similar to a military base, though which is odd since the golf course is there.

Well that makes sense now that you mention it. Thank you for the information.

I love the Poly food pics! Thank you for posting them! Do you know if the Poly serves Mickey waffles on Sundays (or any days)?

BWI CL deluxe room and standard rooms are available for an upcoming trip. Price difference is $110 more per night for deluxe. There will be 5 of us (3 adults, 2 kiddos). We stayed standard CL before and thought it was a great room with enough space for 5 of us. Underwhelming garden view (we were basically in a tree at the end of the hall). Extra space would be nice, water view would be lovely, but not sure $110/night is worth it. Any input? We will be doing 1/2 days in the parks and resort time otherwise.

FYI you will get a water view with these rooms!

It would be rare for Poly to have a greeter out front. It is probably the “worst” CL in that regard...no greeters, very few manager/iPad CMs around to find, etc. The check in experience isn’t particularly notable there (not that it’s bad, just some other resorts do it better)

At Poly, there is a desk just to the left when you walk in the front door that has a “Club Level Arrivals” sign on it. The sign may not be there after hours. Or the sign might be up, but no CM will be there as they sometimes do leave the station to escort guests back, do something else, etc.

We arrived 3:30ish last trip and the sign was up, but no CM. We hung around the desk for a few mins, no signs of anyone, so just walked back to the Hawaii longhouse ourselves.

Generally speaking I’d try to find someone at the CL arrival desk or someone to tell you’re checking in CL so they can take it from there.

Have fun!
If you do the online check in for your CL Poly room, can you just go to your room once they text your room number or do you need to check in with someone?

We land at MCO at 8:30am so we should be there by 10 from past experience. Hopefully staffing won’t be an issue that early.

What are the main differences you would say between a CL stay and a regular Deluxe stay?
Other than the lounge with the food and drinks, the big difference now is the ability to get those extra fast passes at 90 days out. That’s pretty much the only reason we are staying in the club level room.

Yes, you can go straight to your room if inclined. Your MagicBand ‘should’ work to open the Hawaii longhouse door and also your room door, but it may not on one or both (we’ve experienced all of the above).

If you totally bypass the CMs you won’t get a welcome letter or anything else they may be handing out upon arrival. That may or may not be of any importance to you.

Thank you - that’s good news! We should be arriving at the Poly around 6:30pm and hoping to drop our bags in the room and grab a snack before the lounge closes. My son should be arriving at the Poly about 20 mins after us to (flying directly from college) to surprise my daughter for her 16th bday. I’m hoping we’re in the lounge when he arrives so when we get back to the room he can surprise her!

I can pick up the welcome letter after that and say hello to the CMs. Then, we’re going to the VAH for the night. Just trying to get it all done!:)

You’re in luck! They started putting out Frangelico as of November or so and we had it consistently every night last month. Goes really well in next morning’s coffee, if I might add. I love Frangelico as well so I was really excited! It replaced the Courvoisier.
I am curious how you got it in the morning for your coffee. Did you just ask a CM, and they brought you a glass? I would guess they did not leave it out and accessible. Thanks for the answer and good news

You can ask but I don't bother when I can get it myself. Personally I have just kept cups of the cordials from the night before to use in my coffee. Kailua, etc. Just put in coffee cups with lids and save in the room

Yeah, we did the math so to speak and decided it just wasn’t worth it for us. Maybe if we had a shorter trip, during a busier time. But we are going for 10 days in early May and have 2 AH events planned. We also don’t like the idea of being tied down on a park day for 6 hours.

I've yet to see the appeal of the paid FP. We stay CL no matter if it's a short trip or a long one. As long as the CL FP are unmodifiable then we'll never do them. Plus, we always get on all the rides we want with the 3 regular and same day FP.
