I do have a question why not buy Animal Kingdom? The price differential is only $3-8 a point if you are going resale and makes it easier to book Jambo 1 beds, especially Standard View (which availability isn't as free at 7 months for) and those are pool or partial savannah views. It also makes it eaiser to book Standard at Kidani which is cheaper point wise (if you want Kidani for the extra bathroom). Though I guess if you are going direct there is a larger price differential of about $20 a point).
To your actual question 1 bedrooms are best bet for sleeping around though you'll never get Value or Club at AK reliably not owning there (if you wanted to try for them). October to Mid January the 7 month exchange is tighter in all units but 1 bedrooms are the only ones that seem to have reliable opening, especially at larger resorts like Animal Kingdom. More expensive views will generally mean more availability (except Club at Animal Kingdom). Outside of October to Mid January the ability to move, especially a 1 bedroom, is much easier (so with a 1 bedroom you have good reliability). Just remember DVC shifted points from Fall/Winter to Summer so booking patterns could start to change and in 2022
point charts they might move them more.
