Hope this is ok to ask here. We are planning on trying to get a boarding group for ride of the resistance on our first full day of our holiday. We are from the UK so because of the time difference plan we are normally up very early anyway first few days of Holiday anyway. This will be the 20th of April.

We are not sure of what park we should try and get fast passes for that day. From what I can gather Hollywood studios will be very busy in the morning. So should we try Epcot? Animal Kingdom has early morning opening ( we are staying on Site) would that be a good idea?

Hollywood studios is down as an 9am opening on the 20th of April but I am guessing this will end up being an earlier opening time.

Obviously we won’t know what time our boarding group will be called but we will have a rental car to get from park to park.

My 5yo daughters was the only fingerprint that worked in the first try this morning. Perhaps I should have her try for our BG.

I would stick with booking them in DHS, unless you are okay potentially missing your planned FP if BG timing doesn’t work out. You can always change your plans day of when you know what BG you received. That’s what we’re doing.

Reflections from my house, practicing for this weekend. . .
I had the app open before seven and toggled between the two screens that say “Find out more” and the status/boarding group page at the second it turned 7am. If did not light up red for “Join Group” until exactly 7:01, and stated already in backup groups!

Parked around 6:00 a.m. Through the no-bag line with maybe a 1-minute wait. Lined up near the green construction wall and stayed right when crowd started moving around 6:17 or so. Took my customary bench on Sunset, across the street from Carthay Circle. BG 25.

Interesting. I was practicing at home this morning, and the button turned red about 20 seconds after 7am. Was still in regular BG at that point.
