Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

In November, we booked the Poly for April using the 30% off BB offer. I think the Poly club rooms are unavailable in the fall - closed for renovation. I looked at booking a poly club room for the beginning of nov and none are available - even at rack rates.

Oh that's right! I'm thinking we might head over to Epcot area anyway with F&W happening. Although, I've never stayed AK CL and do want to give that a try. 🙂

Hello all. It's been a few years since I stayed at BWI Club level, but with luck, and lots of divine intervention, my best friend and I will be back in mid May, staying 5 nights. (We are currently booked for May 17-23, but that may change).

My friend and I are veteran visitors to WDW in general, and know our way around the parks and most of the resorts very well, including BWI. But she was recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and currently undergoing Chemo. She knows that this may be her last trip, and it will be unlike any of our previous ones. So we are going full speed ahead, so to speak, and doing Club, but since her energy level will be much reduced, we will probably be spending more time at the resort than past visits.

My past experience with BWI CL was in a room outside the Keeper's Desk area, and thinking that this would probably be the best choice, but then, it is a bit of a longer walk to the Club room. Since we will both be in scooters for most touring, wondering how much of a hassle is it to get them through the Inn Keeper doors. Once in our room, we will park them to charge, and be able to be on foot for Club room and pool visits, but getting in and out is a question.

Any advice from others who have done the Club Level on wheels?

(Also, since my last CL visit, this thread has undergone some much appreciated updating, but all the photos of BWI Club areas are no longer on the first few pages. Any photos I can show my friend would be appreciated - if you want to PM me, or point me to more recent photos on these thread pages, I would really love to show her. Thank you so much!!)
The door opens automatically to enter, even when it's not manned. Just tap your band and it swings open
Leaving it is automatic, sensor in the top of the door frame.
So getting the ECV through the doors is a non issue.

I love the end of October! Which resort did you book? Do you happen to know if Poly CL was 30% or lower like the last few times I've booked.
The available resorts for the BB dates of 10/25 to 10/29/20 were very limited. WL wasn't included in those dates, for example. It was one of the resorts I wanted. BWI CL was the only option available in the Epcot resort area for those dates, unless you wanted one and two bedroom suites. ;) We got the 30% discount.

Are all of you with FP reservations also trying to call DSS to find out if their access to FP is working? FP is not working anywhere at the moment and obviously I want to replan all my DHS stuff so I make some coffee and it occurs to me- call DSS! *maybe* their system will be working... at least the hold music is fun:rotfl2:

ETA: in case anyone hasn't heard starting 2/19 MFSR joins FP. MFSR & SDD are tier 1, everything else is tier 2

If it's down, it's down for them too
Their system isn't anything different than what you get access to.
I've seen it a lot, anytime MDE is down for guests, the CM at the resorts have nada too

Does anyone know how early GF Sugar Loaf puts their early morning food out? Going to try to get BP at HS next week so need to be out early. Thanks!

7 AM. If opening is 7 am there’s no way you’ll get food and a BP, you’ll have to be scanned into DHS before 7:00 in that case. I haven’t heard any reports of food ever being out early at any of the CLs, unless it’s maybe 5-10 min while they finish setting up and they just let people start early. There might be coffee at 6:30, but that’s still too close unless you’re talking after the opening moves from 7 am (at least as of now).

We plan to be at rope drop at least 1 hour early so trying to make plans for grabbing something to eat before we leave. May have to stop in Gasparillas.

In my opinion they did an excellent job with the resort and CL reserved viewing on the beach - best organization and setup I've seen.

They utilized the new beach chairs for the CL viewing, plus a few plastic ones.

This area was available for CL guests for both the 6:30pm and 11:50pm shows on 12/31. For the late show they had a table set up with NYE toys, sparkling wine, and sprite. They reserved section never got particularly crowded - I was pretty surprised. It was chilly, yes, but there seemed to be less people overall here and in the resort reserved area. Perhaps due to good enforcement? Not sure.

View from said viewing area for the 11:50pm show (which is the one where they utilize the island launch point to 'simulcast' the traditional behind the MK launch point fireworks.

It was a wonderful evening.

Do they do this same set up for the 4th fireworks??

I’ve never seen anywhere put food out earlier than 7. I wish they would! I am an early riser and waiting until 7 for breakfast can feel late to me at times (depending on how tired I am from the previous day/night...)! It’s especially difficult when there’s a 7 AM park opening time. What I do in that case (and sometimes just when I want a little something prior to 7) is bring food back to my room the previous morning. We’re not big breakfast eaters so some cereal (I put it in a bowl in the lounge and then tie a plastic food bag from home over it in our room) with fruit and/or yogurt works well for us. I did the same with pastries once. I put them on plate and stuck it in our refrigerator to keep them fresh. I took it out in the morning before I jumped in the shower, and they were room temperature (according to my daughter; I didn’t try them) about 20-30 minutes later.

Back for snacks now at GDT and they have all my favs again. Beet salad, bread with chocolate and cinnamon, Manchego cheese and peppers and honey, and toasts with sun butter, banana and honey. Also love the hummus with the chips!

We are there from Feb 7-12, and staying CL, how has the evening snacks/food/drinks been? I want to request a room on the 15th floor as well, hoping that can happen.

Yes, in my experience - a reserved beach area for all Poly guests and an adjacent reserved area with chairs for CL).

Also a DJ and characters out on the beach in the evening pre-show.

Tons of fun, in my opinion.

Awesome!! I have poly CL booked for the week and that completely makes it more worth it to have that and not deal with the crowds!!
We were there for Halloween and loved the DJ and games that were out that night as well! So fun!!

Drinks were great, always stocked and self serve. We were even offered vodka and other hard liquors.
Afternoon snacks were the best, evening was not great. First night was plant based meatballs and mussels and the second night just jackfruit carnitas. There was also hummus and vegetables and “pan con tomate” both nights.

Even desserts were lacking. I’ve been looking forward to the macaroons and there were none. Just the chocolate and strawberry mousse, and just in small glasses not even in the Mickey tarts as I’ve seen before.

Anyone know when the GF RPC is closing for refurb? Im planning a trip for May 2020 but I don't want to get a last minute alert that I've been moved.
