We do the viral panel on everyone that has flu symptoms. It doesn’t seem like the flu has been that bad this year. The viral panels rarely come back positive.
We’ve had quite a bit. At least 2 or 3 in ICU every week are flu.
I found this forum about 2 years ago and while I rarely post I really appreciate how supportive and willing to share this group is.

I have the Amex Bonvoy and I can earn 2,500 by getting additional cards for my daughters. Will adding them to my card keep them from getting their own cards. They’re 13 and 17, so no immediate plans for them but I didn’t want to lock them out of earning bonuses.
It might actually help build their credit scores so they’ll be better able to get cards at 18.

No.

I got that offer too but 2,500 points is pretty skimpy IMO so I think I'm passing.

I'm in Nebraska, Camp Ashland is just a few miles away from me. That and a place in TX is where they have been bringing all the quarantined people. People who have confirmed tested positive generally end up coming here to the Nebraska Medical Center National Quarantine Unit.
My niece is stationed at Travis AF where they are quarantining people also.

You're safe, being an authorized user on someone else's card doesn't block you from getting the bonus on your own card. Your authorized user doesn't actually have the card, so the AmEx lifetime language wouldn't apply.

What you usually want to pay attention to is that an AU card will count towards 5/24 for Chase. In your case this probably isn't a problem unless you expect your 17 yo to go on a app-o-rama when she turns 18 :p AmEx doesn't backdate an account on her report, it'll be listed as the date she's added, so she'll be 1/24 when she's able to start getting cards of her own.

Probably not a reason not to do it, just something to be aware of going forward.

5% cash back on Staples online purchases today on RMN! Placed one order for DGC using my $30 off $100 Chase offer. I have more I need to place, but I can't remember if there's a limit of RMN purchased per day? I might be confusing it with Dosh? Anyone know?
$50 max (so $1000) and 3 shops per month.

Another option is to purchase the VGCs and then use them to purchase discounted DGCs at Sam’s Club.

My SiriusXM trial supposedly ended. I wouldn't know since I've never turned it on.

But, all kinds of offers come, and I've ignored them. Now, it's $5 a month for 12 months. Previous was for 5 or 6 months.

I'm mostly posting this to let people know that it's possible to get that low. Still probably not interested - I just don't use my radio that much even on longer trips.

I feel like the offer I've been booking has been $25 for 6 mos. Everytime it's up I call to cancel. They offer me something different, I say no. They ask me what will make me stay and I say the same offer. So I keep booking it.

I'm $900 away from my MSR on the CIP. I think I'm going to have to open another personal card to do a balance transfer. But I guess the good news is, 5/14 is the next day I drop back under 5/24 (then Oct and Dec). I'm still trying to plan the next cards I want to open. I know on my list is the free hilton, the personal AA citi. I honestly don't know what else to look at. I guess it's time to start searching and seeing what is out there.

So change of plans for Easter Break and DH wants to head to DL instead of PHX. So we’ll fly into PHX since I got those flights cheap and then fly over to LAX since it will be easier than driving. We are staying at either the Sheraton Park or the Hilton. I am still piecing the trip together. Nothing like putting a trip together in a little over a month to plan.

I'm pretty sure I'm just not meant to have a meat thermometer. I melted the first one. Replace it and didn't realize the replacement (also digital) wasn't water resistant. So then I got a non-digital one. Apparently it fell into the garbage disposal and I turned it on which bent it and broke the glass. I'm going to give this one more try! Amazon is probably wondering why I need so many meat thermometers:)

Oh wow, so much fun! We haven't been to DL since 2012---way too long.

I've been loosely keeping track of the #tests that CDC has run for the novel corona virus, just by checking their website which is updated daily, based on the numbers reported by 4PM the prior day.

On 2/26 the website showed 445 tests run (by 4pm 2/25). Total. In the entire USA, with a population of 330 million.
On 2/27 it was up to 458 tests. So they tested 13 people in the following 24 hour period.
I missed yesterday's number.
As of today (reporting 2/29/20 numbers) it's up to 472 tests run.

Less than 30 tests run in 3 days. How could we possibly have an accurate number of cases in the US? You can't find what you're not looking for.
S. Korea had run over 66,600 tests by 2/26 and is testing around 10K daily.

I sadly paid for parking this morning with my csr (though I know it should be 3x but msr!) Because I was worried my plat would get stuck in the machine since it's so thick. It might've been ok but since I paid as I left I didn't want to mess around with all the cars behind me.

And ouch I forgot Seattle has the sugar tax so an extra 35 cents for my medium coke that also didn't taste as good as normal.

But I pr'd the 15k I ran by almost 8 min and then had to thaw out from the freezing wind :cold:

I may or may not have posted that I put the meat thermometer back into the oven with the meat, and since it was not meant to be left stuck into the meat like the old style glass and metal ones, the plastic dial melted into a plastic blob. So now I'm 'guessing' with my old style old school one that has the degrees worn off.
