The Good News Is......

i may have to go over to working from home of my company goes down that route. May find out more on that front next week. Fortunately I can do my job sitting in my jammies at my desk at home almost as easily as I can in a suit sitting in the office... ⌨ 🖥

I'm working from home, and doing just that :cool2: although I did tell my clients email me at any time, and phone me during business hours, BUT please no video calls without notice, :rotfl2: I really don't want my clients seeing my pjs, weekend hair and stash of chocolate and candies

Very true. But it is kind of annoying that, in public washrooms all across North America, people are singing "Happy Birthday to You" at the top of their lungs as they wash their hands...

Maybe we should start a trend of singing the chorus of "A Very Merry Unbirthday to You" out loud in 'retaliation'. I just timed myself and it takes 15 seconds. So we get to sing it twice!!

I get to be a stay at home cat mom, just like I've always dreamed!

I'm a teacher, and my district just shut down for a month. I'll be doing some work virtually, but nothing like the amount I normally do, so I guess I have lots of time to read books from my huge to be read list and watch some things. I'm an introvert, so weeks cooped up doesn't bother me.

And on a more serious note, I am grateful that my area's school systems are taking measures to keep staff, students, and families safe. I am also grateful that my district will continue meal distribution at many school sites, including my own, since some of our kids really rely on the meals they get from school every day.

Also, I'm happy that Frozen 2 will be streaming tomorrow on Disney+.

The good news is- we are reminded again of the frailty of human life and that we have another chance to let people know how much they mean to us. We can enrich our lives by encouraging others even in the uncertainty of these times and help others like that women who helped the frightened older couple by doing their grocery shopping.

Went to Target and Pavilions today. Target was packed, but people were being very respectful. If people had too much of one item in the check out lines, they would share it with other people around them in line if they didn't have the item. That's how i was able to get toilet paper :) So hopefully if you need to get some shopping done your experience will be just as nice.

I think you mean the vast majority are not sick yet. Before this is over, only a slim majority of us will not be sick, and that's if we are lucky. Tens of thousands of people who are not sick today will be dead in a month. Enjoy your health while you have it!
Wrong. Good grief. Fear-mongering like this without data support is the worst possible reaction.

There was a funny, unscripted exchange about hand washing in one of the recent DisUnplugged videos. One of the hosts accidentally made reference to washing hands for 20 minutes, and a couple of the other hosts chimed in about how they sing "Stairway to Heaven" or "In a Gadda Da Vida" when they wash their hands...
