You should see us at work, constantly using germx, washing down the counters and doors, not using anyone else's phones or pens. We always are conscious and clean when we get to work and then before we leave, but we were wiping down almost constantly today.

I am a little anxious here with our trip for next weekend. Just had Universal Hollywood close. Hoping both Universal and our expo are able to hold off.

Yes, cleanliness is key. Something I wonder about now.....I commented yesterday how many folks didn't bother too much before.....like the folks you do see in bathrooms that don't wash hands.....hopefully this`ll make them think twice in the future.....

I know Alice......it is crazy right now. Yes, we’ll be so disappointed if we don‘t get to meet up!!!

We woke up to about 40 emails this morning from folks asking if we were still going.......lol......I wish I had the answer!! But, to be honest, we aren’t worrying about it. Just like the Thomas Cook fiasco last September, there is absolutely nothing we can do about it......I just hate uncertainty......but yes, we’ll be annoyed if we didn’t get to meet up with you both......finally!!!

Yes I always enjoy Carole's reports and look forward to them to brighten my days.
I was just trying to confirm the news as my local TV station is reporting news that's 3 days old :scared1: according to them this morning, the NCAA tournament is still going to happen without fans......so you see my dilemma. I threw the question out as I was in a time crunch to get some work done and knew I'd get an answer without having to search, didn't mean anything untoward by the question.

I'm looking forward to more details of what Carole is planning and am so happy she decided a while back to do pre-trip reports!

Realistically, I’m not convinced we’ll be there in May, but there’s always hope until someone says no.......:thumbsup2

I‘m so sorry your trip isn’t going ahead! It is truly dreadful the ripple effects of this virus.

I’m almost positive this will turn into a September pre trip report.....but as we stay in more or less the same place and eat in a few of the same places there may not be much difference......lol......

I do plan to keep on it though......there‘s always hope......

Yes, I think this virus will play a large part of this trip report discussion.....an unwelcome guest of course, but it will certainly be the decider as to whether we are allowed to travel to the USA at all.

There is so much information out there and I’m very confused at times at what to believe. When one respected expert says one thing and another equally respected expert says another......:confused3

Who do you believe!

But, yes Tink2Day, I’ll carry on with this for now and hope for the best, maybe naive but......well, I’m an optimist.....::yes:::wave2:
 
Hoping you are all well. I am well so far and very confused about all of this myself. So much stuff being said and done, all theme parks and schools, etc, closed. I just don't know. Hoping that you are all well and hoping that this doesn't mess up everyone's May travels, I am so looking forward to meeting Carole and Tom, hoping all is well with everyone and is well, lets hope this passes quickly and we can all keep our travel plans.
 
We all know you'll be back at some point (many points from what I can tell from avidly reading all of your reports:rotfl: ) So we know that we will still
be able to count on you to give us all the lowdown on where to go, what to eat and what to see. Always fun!! Even reading what you've done in past is
such fun!

It is a very strange time for sure.

I doubt very much May will go ahead. The travel ban is in place for 30 days from Tuesday for us I believe, if they extend that another month it’ll be a definite no go.

Yes, it’s a shame, would love to have met up if possible. Are you having any thoughts about your trip now?

I think right about now there are so many of us very down about our cancelled or postponed trips. Not much sunshine around for that at the moment. Not even mentioning the worry about catching this darn virus.

Yes, we have September and December to look forward to. Thats not too far away. I refuse to consider not going then.......I truly am the eternal optimist and refuse to change.......lol.......

I do think in a week or so I’ll change the title for September trip report.......and if it keeps going (which it won’t) will change to December.......🥴

How’s things in your area.....is it bad??
 
It's a real bummer. So far... Davy had a math competition canceled (and he's freaking out that he may have had his last days at middle school). We couldn't visit my aunt who is in a nursing home. Our local comicon canceled. All of my league tennis canceled. I warned Davy that Disney/Universal may be out too in late May. And, missing seeing you is just making me so sad. Plus, it's snowing here today. So, I've put on classic MTV and rocking out to 80s tunes while catching up on reading. Really thinking of you and Tom and hope you guys stay safe but also just wishing you could come!
 
I am an optimist too Carole! We booked our summer Scotland trip at the end of Feb & I am still researching tours for our trip (maybe because I am in denial that this is all really happening). Fingers crossed!😉
