Off topic, I am a social worker & am amazed at how many ppl suddenly are advocates for the safety & health of their fellow man/woman. I don’t recall all this concern & advocacy for others when I was working with the abused, the mentally ill, the homeless, etc. Now all of a sudden everyone is a hero b/c they wear a mask. I suspect all of this new found concern has more to do with the fact that ppl are now more concerned about how it will affect them or their loved ones.
I see what you’re referring to too but I think it’s been around since everything shut down. People are hiding their selfish desire for opening back up behind better sounding reasons. I see a lot of concern voiced over things like suicide, depression, and domestic abuse, right now from way more people than pre-pandemic life and I sure hope these people all continue to care so much when everything opens back up and those problems are very much still real.
I would extend this to concern for CMs, when so many were concerned about getting them back to work I hope they remain concerned about their working conditions including something we as guests can actually control, doing our best to prevent getting them sick (and fellow guests) by wearing masks and not going when sick, and being kind and considerate through this weird time in the parks and of course afterwards too.
