Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

We were in Jamaica, too, and the lot was really full. I wonder, though, if people were driving over and parking in that lot to be closer to the skyliner. I saw several cars pull up one morning and the people walk to the skyliner.
We wondered that too. Our building, 45, seemed like a lot of rooms were in use from what we saw. Lots of window decor and guests around the grounds. Our bus depot always seemed fairly busy compared to the other villages.

Are people driving over from other lots at Caribbean Beach? Not other resorts right? Because I thought you still needed a dining reservation at a resort to drive your car to a resort that you aren't staying at.

Yes from within the CBR and not other resorts. We wondered that because the Jamaica lot closest to the skyliner would seem busy during the day but not as crowded later in the evening. We moved our car to the lot closer to our room the next day after we checked in and found our room and that other Jamaica lot never seemed as crowded as the one closer to the skyliner but I still was surprised at how many guests CBR had. Just from the lobby, pool and walks around CBR you’d never think the parks were at such low capacity. The resort didn’t feel overwhelmingly crowded but it wasn’t empty either. There’s nobody that should be driving into CBR that isn’t staying there since there’s nowhere to have an ADR now at CBR.

You have to go through a guarded gate to get to CBR. When we drove in, the guard scanned our magic bands, so I assume that people from other resorts cannot come over to simply park.

Absolutely agree. We drove up to the main pool and parked in a lot next to the main building. Even that didn't seem as crowded as the Jamaica lot!

CBR is definitely the most normal feeling resort we have stayed at so far, we have been to all but SSR and OKW. We really liked the people feeling there...it is just not the same when it is empty or all seems closed. As far as the guard shack and letting people in....I think they will let people in with little effort. Friends of ours came to visit us during our stay and they told them they were here to meet friends...guard asked last name, didn't check to see if name was valid, just opened the gate and said have a nice evening. I don't think a lot of guests are coming over, but I do think depending on the time of day, they will let you in.

If you’re in Aruba then you’d likely be closer to the riviera station than the CBR station however if you’re in Martinique which is also near the riviera, you have to take the pathway through the riviera to get to the station.

Just left CBR today (Monday). We arrived on Friday morning. I had checked in on the app but our room wasn’t showing as ready yet, however someone was right there and gave us a choice of 3 buildings. We chose Jamaica 46. (This was a previous resort change from POR.)
We had lunch at Banana Cabana, there are about 6 ish tables set up there. Center town Market was mobile order only. Sebastians is not open.
If you haven’t walked through Riviera Resort take the time to either walk over or Skyliner over if you are close to the CBR hub. It’s worth checking out the new hotel.
As far as HS goes, we left our room at 8:15am and arrived 4th in line for the Skyliner about 8 min later. They hold you at the bottom of the gate. At 8:55 a CM told us the Skyliner was having issues (it was moving so we aren’t sure what the problem was) and buses we on the way. They kept us in the same line order and moved the front of the line to the bus stop that is right in front of the Skyliner. A bus arrived at 9:00am. We were at the temp check tent at 9:10 and they started scanning at 9:15. We were 17th in line for Mickeys RR which started promptly at 9:30am. We were off and walked to GE with plenty of time to stop and get a Boarding Group. When the park closed we were walking out the HS gate, on the Skyliner and entering our resort room 16 min later. That Was soooooo nice!
Everyone enjoy your upcoming stays!

When arriving at the resort for the first time can I just go to the right for returning guests and scan my magic band? Or do I need to stop a guard entrance.

We arrived via Lyft and had to stop at the guard. He asked for our name and checked a list then let us in. I would assume you need to check with the guard the first time but I’m not positive.

If you have bands and you get a text that your room is ready before you arrive at the resort, then you can just go to the returning guests side and scan your band and you are all set. Works as long as you have a text that your room is ready.

For the folks that have been recently, what time would you want to be at the Skyliner station to rope drop Epcot?

Hi! Right now we have Pop booked for 2021. I love being at a skyliner resort. I was just wondering if anyone has stayed in Aruba and knows about how long it takes to walk to the Riviera skyliner stop? (from the closest buildings in Aruba) And, about how long it takes to walk from those buildings to Riviera for a dinner res. Thanks :)
