So, I've got a question about the Gold card $10 Uber credit.

Has anyone added the card to a family member's Uber account? I don't have an Uber account right now and it occurred to me that I might want this on younger daughter's account instead of mine since she does most of the picking up, ordering of food for us. She's made me lazy - I barely even look at the menus anymore.

I have DH's plats on my Uber account. No problems.

I think I’m going to try for the SW MDD either today or tomorrow, but I had a question first. I currently have a CP through 12/31/21. If I earn the 125k RR points this year through the SUB’s, that will give me a CP through 12/31/22, correct?

This is a little scary for me because it will take me over 5/24, which I haven’t been in a long time! I really want a CIU, but was instantly denied in Nov, and the SW elevated offers just seem too good to pass up. I can always use RR points, and I’ll be back under 5/24 in July so I think the MDD makes sense for me. I’ll plan on meeting the higher 10k MSR on probably just one of the cards for the adt’l 30k RR, and that should keep me busy with a MSR till then anyways.
If you'll be back under in July, I think pushing to 5/24 now isn't a big concern. It seems scary, but that's just 5 months away, and with a MDD and these elevated SW offers, that could keep you busy until then! I often tell people that after doing a MDD you want to be sure to keep your credit clean for 3-4 months anyways. So that will just be added motivation for you, and when you get back under 5/24 you can try for Chase biz cards again!

Having that CP through 2022 (which you are correct in that comment) will benefit you for sure, BUT the huge amount of SW RR points you'll earn is probably the even bigger deal! Despite the pandemic and all the issues, I still do not regret my huge SW stash even for a moment.

I'm still trying to figure out what this all means...I got the $99/$99 on an amex card..... but still lost as to value

Well the deal may be dead now but if you purchased the $99 subscription you are supposed to get a $99 statement credit so it would be free MR points. I used my BBP so that 198 MRs. Those who purchased the subscription by going through a shopping portal would be stacking points. I went through the UR portal and anticipate 7500 URs as that was the offer that day. So if everything tracks and credits properly, I would receive 7500 UR points, 198 MR points valued at about $115 for zero dollars.

More wireless credits. Sigh. I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but they're a pain to use with Verizon and the autopay discount. We have 5 lines on our account, so would lose $50 if I paid with a credit card. I was buying gift cards, but problem is they never come working. I then have to call to have it fixed, which can take up to an hour. Must have bought 15. Not a single one. I would like to experience that one day. Buy a Verizon GC and it comes working. It would feel like a miracle. I think I would run around the house yelling it works it works! Every time one comes I check the balance with anticipation. Maybe this time? Hope springs eternal.

Okay, rant over. 😅

I feel like I'm being paranoid, but I also don't want to call and ask AMEX because I threw in some inconspicuous gift card purchases for P2's MSR on his Bonvoy Biz back in the fall. Those points still haven't posted, even though MSR was met around Christmas. I thought AMEX was being grumpy because he also signed up for his Aspire around Thanksgiving so our FNC would sync annually on both our Aspires. Today I noticed his SUB points from his Aspire posted before I even realized he met MSR (I don't count anything they reimburse, so there was about $750 in airline credits and other AMEX offers which I guess pushed him over his MSR.) What's the deal with his Marriot points? How long before I should suck it up and chat with them about the missing points? I remember them taking quite awhile to post Hilton points from the no AF Aspire in 2019 when I signed up, but everyone seemed to be in the same boat waiting for points. I'm surprised if the RAT is potentially microanalyzing his Bonvoy Biz MSR that the Aspire points posted with no issue...

I just received my email today too! Now where to use them!
Me too today. Casa Marina Key West in March here we come for a free night. Stayed there last year. Really want the reach but only premium award nights available so this won’t work for my dates. Still free is free. Plus u use your aspire card for incidentals and u get 250 per year. Parking and drinks at the pool free.

I forget... how much did you have to receive in cc bonuses to get a 1099 from Chase? I haven't seen any yet for either DH or I for 2020...

I have the Baker’s Cay Key Largo booked for March but it was only 168k points with 5th night free. So it seems like a waste to use the FNC.

We are staying there Feb 26-28. I'm excited. I had picked it out to stay there, but didn't have enough points. While waiting to get my points, the 42,000 points/night rooms filled up, so I had to get rooms at the other Hilton in Key Largo. I kept checking every day (ok, multiple times a day) and they showed back up, so I quickly switched. We're excited! It looks like a great resort!

FYI: This would specifically be SUPPORT clicks. Not CC bonuses. So if you received $600 or more in support clicks (with virtually all points valued at 1cpp for this purpose) then you should expect one.

It could also include some rare non-spend bonuses such as retention offers, annual fee waivers, or other random bonuses like a stmt credit for paperless statements.

Well, seems I got my 7500 URs from the Motley Fools deal. So yay!

I also seemed to score the $10 off food on my Surpass, and the 10k bonus points for spending $5k (maybe I will make a run MS for the FNC again). I got the $10 offer on my Delta Gold Biz. So now the question is, if I do all but $10 of my ATT bill w/ my IHG (which has the cell phone protection), am I still fully covered? I'm planning on doing 2 pays each month. Doing the $10 a few days before the bill, then the remaining balance.

Just curious but when you are meeting a MSR, do you focus all your spending on that card? Or do you still spend in the categories that make the most sense?
Right now I have until 4/1 to hit my IHG Traveler SUB. I've got $1600 left on it. It should be rather easy to do. But like yesterday, I put my groceries on that vs the discover which is 5%. I'm just wondering, how everyone else attacks spends?

I live just “up the road” in Raleigh. Wilmington doesn’t really have a beach, but it’s near a lot of beach towns. Our personal favorite (where we owned a beach house for many years) is Ocean Isle. It is quiet but has just enough entertainment - a handful of restaurants (including some pretty nice ones for a beach town), putt putt, ice cream, a great wine and beer shop, even a ropes course just off the island. And it’s only 45 minutes from Myrtle Beach if you want more action. Sunset Beach and Holden Beach are the beaches on either side. Sunset is great if you want really sleepy and relaxed. Holden is bigger than Ocean Isle but a similar vibe. Wrightsville Beach is close to Wilmington and much higher action. Also more traditional hotel choices (the Sunspree being the primary one) than the other places I mentioned. Farther north, Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle are really popular, but I prefer the southern beaches. Happy to answer any questions!

AB and EI are where I'm looking to buy a condo/vacation rental...if the cost ever goes back down! Grrrrr!!!

Okay, that's what I thought, thanks!

Has anyone received theirs from Chase yet?
Unfortunately I have:( My $150 csr retention put me at $650.
I have a $200 support plus $450 ("for making direct sales over $5k ... for resale").

How are we supposed to handle this? I think Support is taxable, but I didn't resell anything.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess I was unclear on that... thought CC bonuses qualified as well. I guess that's good news for me then! I shouldn't be expecting anything from Chase :jumping1:

Wait - you got a Chase 1099 that referenced $450 for resale?? Tied to which card? And how did you get that thorough of an explanation on it on a 1099?
