I have a $200 support plus $450 ("for making direct sales over $5k ... for resale").

How are we supposed to handle this? I think Support is taxable, but I didn't resell anything.

Is the $450 direct sales from a chase bank account or credit card, can you look at account number to find out?

Wait - you got a Chase 1099 that referenced $450 for resale?? Tied to which card? And how did you get that thorough of an explanation on it on a 1099?
It's on Chase letterhead with a block titled "Tax Year 2020 Form 1099-MISC" "Miscellaneous Income (Copy B)" And states this info is being furnished to the IRS.

The $200 is from my CIP
The $450 is from my CSP

Both are on the same form in Box 3 - Other Income (even though there are no real boxes like on W2s), and combine to a Box 3 for $650.

Explanations only are:
#7 Payer made direct sales of $5,000 or more of consumer products to a buyer (recipient) for resale ...... No
#16 State/payer's state no. ... FL
FATCA Filing requirement ... NO

And then repeated exactly the same explanations for the second card.

ETA: Looking closer, I think it is NOT for direct sales based on the "No" (but I don't know why they would list a line that didn't apply)
Maybe it's from support (but I thought all those were even 100 amounts, so not sure about the 50 dollar amount)

Well, seems I got my 7500 URs from the Motley Fools deal. So yay!

I also seemed to score the $10 off food on my Surpass, and the 10k bonus points for spending $5k (maybe I will make a run MS for the FNC again). I got the $10 offer on my Delta Gold Biz. So now the question is, if I do all but $10 of my ATT bill w/ my IHG (which has the cell phone protection), am I still fully covered? I'm planning on doing 2 pays each month. Doing the $10 a few days before the bill, then the remaining balance.

Just curious but when you are meeting a MSR, do you focus all your spending on that card? Or do you still spend in the categories that make the most sense? Right now I have until 4/1 to hit my IHG Traveler SUB. I've got $1600 left on it. It should be rather easy to do. But like yesterday, I put my groceries on that vs the discover which is 5%. I'm just wondering, how everyone else attacks spends?

If I can meet the MSR easily, I continue to put spend on my other cards.. right now I have a new CIC..I’ll meet the spend with 1/2 years property taxes and make an insurance payment. So I still use my CFF for 5x groceries, the CSR for dining etc. But there have been times when everything goes on the new card to meet the MSR

I feel like I'm being paranoid, but I also don't want to call and ask AMEX because I threw in some inconspicuous gift card purchases for P2's MSR on his Bonvoy Biz back in the fall. Those points still haven't posted, even though MSR was met around Christmas. I thought AMEX was being grumpy because he also signed up for his Aspire around Thanksgiving so our FNC would sync annually on both our Aspires. Today I noticed his SUB points from his Aspire posted before I even realized he met MSR (I don't count anything they reimburse, so there was about $750 in airline credits and other AMEX offers which I guess pushed him over his MSR.) What's the deal with his Marriot points? How long before I should suck it up and chat with them about the missing points? I remember them taking quite awhile to post Hilton points from the no AF Aspire in 2019 when I signed up, but everyone seemed to be in the same boat waiting for points. I'm surprised if the RAT is potentially microanalyzing his Bonvoy Biz MSR that the Aspire points posted with no issue...

Have you checked his Bonvoy account? The Bonvoy points on the Amex website is only year to date. Unlike Hilton, which shows you your total points.

Another DP that Chase approvals are improving. DH was just approved for a CIC today. This was after a denial for biz structure on 9/24 and 12/2, and then a denial for too many requests for credit with us or something for a SW personal on 12/3. I switched up the biz to retail and finally got an approval. :D

Just paid my DCL summer 2021 Dover to Copenhagen cruise in full. Now waiting for a cancellation and for summer 2022 to open up.

And I seriously hate snow! I really need to move to SW FL soon and was talking to my sister last night and my parents are really going to start needing help soon. But DS still has two years in high school:( And I have no clue what I'd do down there.

I hear that! I moved this summer from new england to NC to escape snow. Took 3 teens with me. It was hard for them to adapt with the pandemic and no in person school but I'm still glad we did it. So far only one inch of snow and it melted within a few hours. :)

I created a spreadsheet. Old school. On Paper, with an erasable pencil.

No ink for my printer but I ordered some. It should arrive tomorrow. Then I'll print it from my laptop and put a copy on my fridge so DD can share when she's planning dinners.

Meanwhile I had to make some notes as I used the cell credit. very easy! Bill was due on Feb 5 by auto pay so caught it at the right moment. It will now autopay the rest of the charge.

Oh and I did a $5 reload at Amazon for my Hyatt offer.

Then I sat and watched the birds through the window for awhile. This is Charlie and he visits all the time. Picture is through a screened window.

I met my MSR before my 12/15 statement, even chatted with Amex to make sure I had met the MSR and no points.

CSP is 15,000 points per - so that would be 3 clicks.

How do I load the Hyatt offer onto my Amazon account? Do I have to individually buy 50 $1 gift cards? Is there an easier way?

Something I'm definitely going to miss by moving to a townhouse community with an HOA - no bird feeders allowed. They are messy so I can see the logic, but I will miss the daily gathering of birds!

AB and EI are where I'm looking to buy a condo/vacation rental...if the cost ever goes back down! Grrrrr!!!
I seem to always have an MSR. I focus all spending on that card. We seem to have very small expenses now with COVID - don't need gas for the cars, no travel,... and no MS for me since I leaving the house so no Walmart/FD. I do try to use some of the offers when it makes sense but the bulk of expenses are on the MSR card.

Yay! Saw that Amex Travel $200 counter on DH's plat. I was expecting it last month since he was approved last January. Thought maybe he wasn't targeted. So maybe it shows up on the first of the month when your AF is charged.

Now...what to spend it on? :)

I've just being doing $1, $1.51, $1.49... just random. I'm going to do 3 a day on DH's card. And 2 a day on mine.

I did 5 today too, but all on DH's card. 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.04, 1.05. The order appeals to me lol. Think I'll do 5 every day and be done with both cards in 20 days.

You said it! Really messy especially since I filled 3 feeders on the new contraption I got from Costco.
Bird Feeder Station with Baffle (costco.com)

Fortunately my mess doesn't seem to bother anybody - it's out of sight of neighbors - the pine tree blocks the view. But today the birds were pretty loud and there were dozens.

I probably put out about 12 cups of seeds and didn't fill them all the way. The squirrels can only get the seeds from the older container I hung on one of the top arms and they got tired and went away after awhile.

But, the mess will mulch itself into the yard by spring and I will move the feeder further out into my field for spring and summer.

Y'all are brilliant! That is all. I was WAY overthinking these 50 spends. :rotfl2:

It's really up to you, I'd probably call in - be bold! Push it through, lol!
Thanks!

Called Chase twice. Both times they just said the application was processing and there was nothing they could do but wait it out.

Ugh! What to do now? Any MDD experts - is my MDD dream dead if this doesn’t get approved by the end of the day tomorrow?
