Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I'm not sure if there are specific trip reports, but we were there 1/6 - 1/13 in a 1BR villa [557] so I can answer any questions you may have. What I can tell you is that they are doing outside painting and were by the Dunes Cove pool area [heading towards the parking lot], Marketplace was open and had
good food options, mobile ordering from Ale and Compass worked well for, we secured BG18 twice using in room WiFi, housekeeping was wonderful everytime we called for anything, and had a great time!

18 twice - nice. Crazy how you can get the same number given the myriad of variables involved.

Awesome! Thanks for offering some info. I'm a BCV DVC owner and looking fw'd to lower crowds at SAB. Can you share what SAB pool crowds were like? Was slide open? I thought I might have heard someone say no more sand in sand bottom area- that true? Are the cabanas open? Any indication of Cape May Cafe opening soon? Crowds at DVC pool? How soon did skyliner open before HS park opening? AM coffee in solarium back? I'm stumped with "BG18" btw- pls enlighten me! Thank you!

This was January so please factor in that the temps were in the 60's to around 70 for most of our stay.
SAB crowds were low and spacing of chairs exists. Slide and cabanas were open. The sand has not left the pool. It varies in depth from one area to another, but again has not left the pool. DVC pool was not crowded but the painting work took away from the fun and quiet....this may not be the case when you go. We actually went to the Tidal Pool which is Beach Club's "quiet pool". Skyliner began operation at 8:00 AM each day for a 9:00 AM HS opening. We opted to walk and left the villas at 7:50 and were at HS by 8:10. Please note you will have to transfer at CB for the Skyliner to HS and there may be lines. BG18 refers to the boarding group we got for Rise of the Resistance at HS. We were on by 9:45 AM each day and it was great! AM coffee in the Solarium has not returned yet.

I think I got everything!

hello! We just booked a trip to the YC for our family of three for April 17-23 and I’m trying to catch up on all of the COVID Changes since we were there two years ago! I’m not sure if this is the best place to ask, but we were hoping to make use of our first Epcot resort stay and go to the world showcase most nights for dinner. we have park hoppers however now I am seeing you have to reserve your park for the day and they recommend only booking dinner reservations at the park where you will be spending the day? Has anyone ever been denied entry to the world showcase for capacity to try and reach their Epcot dinner reservations? I’m thinking I’m not seeing too many posts on this right now because it was probably addressed more when they first reopened. Thanks!

We were at WDW this past weekend and park hopped to Epcot at 5pm on Saturday night. Epcot was mobbed - really crowded. But we had absolutely no trouble getting into the park, in spite of the crowds. We had been at MK earlier that day.

The never ending painting at Dune Cove. . .good grief. . .that was going on everyday we were there in October--same area. How many times can they paint the fencing and two buildings (towel return and restooms/chemical/mechanical)? It is almost a joke at this point.

I clearly gave that update in post #35,130 on 1/15! Ducking and taking cover now!

They seem to be moving real slow..........

We spoke to the forelady of the project in Oct. & Jan. and they are painting the entire BCV. They have just been by the Dunes Cove pool since Oct. Once the pool area exterior of the resort is done they will be done. She thought late spring. When you see how they have cleaned up and repainted it is significant especially the white trim and the Turquoise color is different when you see the old and new color together. Can't wait to see the progress tomorrow!

We were in Room 3170 and 3172 ~

You can add this to the room/resort reviews also....:teeth:

Guess they didn’t set up the train display at the Yacht Club this year. I always enjoy it and look forward to the changes year to year.

The train is YC’s decoration instead of the gingerbread item. None of the hotels did their gingerbread displays last year, to avoid crowds. I hope they will bring them back after the pandemic passes.
