Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

How is the morning bus situation lately? My only hesitation with CBR (we have stayed many times) is the morning buses. There was never any organization, crowds build fast and we always felt like we had to firmly hold our ground to get on. We also once waited close to an entire hour just for a bus to get on that wasn’t full.

We are in Martinique and haven’t had any bus issues. MK opened 15 minutes ago and we just got on the bus. No line and bus was there waiting. I did see one stop yesterday along the way that did have a line but it looked very organized with a line down the walkway.

We just checked out from our 6 night stay at CBR. It was a great trip and I would stay at CBR again for sure. I was very hesitant to revisit because of the size of the resort. Years ago the size wasn’t an issue but as I get older the extra walking really makes a difference. We did book preferred and I would do that again. We walked to the Riviera skyliner and Martinique was the 1st stop for bus pick up. No real bus issues. It does take some time to go around to all the stops if the bus is not full so be prepared for that. The CBR skyliner hub looked busy in the morning. Lines were very long. Heading back from Epcot we encountered a line near closing time. It didn’t move all that quickly but once on the skyliner it was quicker and nicer than the bus. We had a dripping faucet in the tub that they took care of for us and had room sanitized and serviced after maintenance left which was awesome. Overall I loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Do you happen to remember where/which stop the first bus picks up? We're staying at CBR for the Skyliner (and because my son has been demanding to go back for years now) but with thunderstorms in the mix all weekend I do worry about the Skyliner being down and buses being an issue.

For us it seemed like Martinique was always the 1st pick up. Maybe once there were other guests on before we got on. I didn’t really pay attention but I feel as if there were no seats or bus was full I would remember that lol

Does the Magical Express pick you up at Old Port Royale & if so, will bell services help you get your luggage there? We're in Trinidad.

ME does pick you up at Old Port Royale. We brought our own luggage there but I’m sure you could have bell services come get your luggage for you.

There's an option to take an internal bus also, correct?
There is an internal shuttle for getting around the resort if you do not want to walk. This option could not be used to transport your luggage though if that’s what you were considering.

How far of a walk it is from the Jamaica buildings to center town market?
I was just there the first week of February. I was in building 41 right next to the skyline station and I would say the walk to center town market took between 8-10 minutes. I had to cut through buildings to get to the path by the water and then cross the bridge. It was an awesome location for hopping on and off the skyliner.... but definitely a hike for food and drink.

Edit to say: if you are in the buildings towards Aruba it is just a quick walk to centertown market. I requested to be close to the skyline station

So I took a look and they don’t have much. They do have milk and they have a fun pack of Kellogg’s cereal (8 individual boxes). I did not see any fresh fruit or coffee creamer. You can grab the individual coffee creamer and half and half cups where you get mug refills. I do wish they had the grab and go open. I have stayed at Poly, CR and YC since covid and they seemed to have much more available. I also like to “preview” my food. I want to see the cupcake before I order it. You cannot do that here. There are no food items in cases to look at or see samples of. It’s odd to me.
I haven’t stayed at CBR since they re-did the food court. The old one was so cool, full of atmosphere and lots of selections that you could see.
I’ve only seen pics of new food court and menu, seems like not much selection and can’t see the food.
I have reservations for Aug but doubt our border will be open so probably have to rebook again. But I think I’ll be going to Riviera more for food.

I think it’s great that Riviera is so close because it does open up more food options. I would love to stay at CBR when Sebastian’s and Spyglass Grill is open. You could also eat at the Banana Cabana lounge but could not sit at a table to drink there. That was disappointing. We got our drinks from the bar and found a bench to sit at. That was a bit of a bummer.

Hopefully by the time we’re allowed to travel internationally everything will be open again. Spyglass looked like they had some interesting food. It’s too bad what they did to the food court.

Like these?

I am considering buying these for our trip but I’m also wondering— can I just ask for 10-12 pods at the start of the week? I feel like I shouldn’t have to purchase and pack something offered free in the room. Would CBR provide these if requested?
