Doesn't it always happen on the Epcot line though? Don't remember it happening on the AoA/Pop line or Hollywood Studios line? So strange

While this may not make anyone feel any better about this, the fact that this happened is something that isn't a rare occurrence with gondolas. At ski resorts all throughout the world, it happens daily. The fact that it happened in Disney has made it a headliner. Again, I am not saying that I want to see it happening but it's gonna happen. The Skyliner is a constantly moving transportation system, one small glitch on loading - unloading or a pause in the line to add a gondola can cause an issue. Disney is doing a pretty good job at not having incidences.

This really curtailed my merchandise spending last trip because I didn't want to carry stuff around the parks all day.

Since you're already there, consider "I Sing the Body Electric" from the same soundtrack - rather cheesy (my 6th grade graduation song! ) but I think it just might loosen up a few restaurants. I wish it would work on Typhoon Lagoon but I have a feeling I'm not going to get lucky on that one! Loved your morning dance today! The Flashdance audition was the chef's kiss!

Well I'd like to pass on the morning magic...nothing magical about cutting down the real opening time and holding us all like sardines at rope drop blah...but I'll gladly hope for the other 2

I asked a Customer Experience CM about this last week while we were there. They did not have any idea when package delivery, even to the front of the park, is coming back. We ended up renting lockers to store purchases at least at DHS because my boys went overboard at Galaxy's Edge. I was really hoping to do some serious shopping but could not find what I wanted in my size. Almost all clothes were in the very small or very large sizes. Wanted a D&B wristlet - all sold out. I don't know if the merchandise is being impacted by Covid supply problems but I actually came back home with money that I had put aside for shopping.
