Where in in FLA/CALI can Canadians get a COVID TEST

I tried booking at the Walgreens on Sand Lake Road in Orlando, but for the questionnaire you have to fill out your address and the drop down menu doesn't let you select anything other than an American address (i.e. state/zip code). Is an appt. necessary or can you drop in? Otherwise I don't see how it's possible to make an appt. if I can't even get past the name & address page.....

Add your hotel address

For Disneyland, I found this in an internet search:

Also, if you already have to drive somewhere, you can also make appointments in nearby Garden Grove (that's the city right next to Anaheim, down Harbor Blvd).
Thank you for posting that first link. I ended up booking a NAAT 1 hour test at City Hall so that I can get tested on my day before coming home. My birthday is the day before that and I knew that if I was waiting for test results I would spend the whole day refreshing and stressing rather than spending the day enjoying Disneyland. I was also stressing about having to get a taxi to take me through the drive thru so this has taken a huge load off as far as stress goes.

Chances are really low that I will get Covid anyway as I'm fully vaxxed and also had a probable case of breakthrough Covid since then already (my partner tested positive despite being fully vaxxed a few weeks back and I had all the same symptoms but didn't ever test positive. A doctor told me that she was pretty sure I had it but it wasn't colonizing in my nose.) so chances are unlikely anyway. This made the price easier to swallow too since only one of us needs to get tested since he tested positive in the last 3 months.

If anyone else is looking to book through the city hall center it was really easy to do and they blatantly state that travellers are to use their hotel address when booking. Google also says it's a 6 minute drive away so it should be easy to uber there and back. We're going to check out The Packing House food hall that's close by while we're there to make more of a trip out of it.

Use the address for where you are staying.

Anyone looking to use CVS in Cali...friends of mine just went to Palm Springs and got confused with the online booking process. Looks like CVS has the insurance/no insurance section which is standard but when you pick no insurance then it has a section for SNN or Driver's license. He asked at the CVS and they told him he needed one. However...when I went on and filled out the online form, in the DL section i think i just had AB listed as the number (automatic fill from my AB address) and then picked California as my state (with the usual hotel address loaded up prior) and the system took it giving me a booking (which i then quickly cancelled).

I know I've posted this on other threads but I just searched for the Walgreens tests and there was only one time slot available for the next 3 days for about the 10 closest Walgreens. This will probably be it for me. Need to cancel by next tuesday to get my hotel money back.

I'm wondering what time the appointments refresh for the next day. It may be beneficial to try as soon as the next day adds new appointments.

Spoken like a true disney veteran... between booking for fastpasses, ADRs, and boarding groups I guess this is nothing new. We would have to book 2 separate tests since you can only book 2 at a time.

I would be looking to book for Thursday, August 19. So it looks like I would be able to book on the Monday. Going to keep and eye on this but this may be too much for me.

I'm going to take a look tomorrow morning but I don't think it's quite as cutthroat as ADRs or FP+ so I figure I'd have time to book 3 tests if there is availability.

When I checked yesterday there were a few spots left at each of the 10 locations I checked. I’ll be keeping an eye on this as well.

We booked two appts for Thursday at the Walgreens by the outlet mall no problem. Didn’t get online until after 10am Monday but still lots of choice.
So each appt slot is for 2 people or it’s one per person?
We have 3, just wondering if I book 2 or 3 appts

I was going say we now need a thread for Florida / California testing sites LOL
And you may want to differentiate on the purpose of the test. There are some that will provide fast results but may not meet travel test requirements.

These can include tests both at facilities and at home tests.

There are a few “test at home” packages, for example, that may be cheaper but don’t meet requirements for travel. Some other at-home tests may meet travel requirements so be sure to select one that satisfies your purpose.

Can someone clarify, is there a drive thru option, Walgreens or CVS in the WDW/Orlando area (will have a rental) that is doing antigen test with no appts needed?

In Cali you can also book a walk up appointment at the covid clinic at City Hall, no car needed and they do guarantee turn around times so it would be the absolute safest best. Very fast uber from the park and appointments as early as 7am. I think this is the best option if you are willing to pay.

Yep this is my backup plan. Expensive but at least you can get results quickly for peace of mind!

I’ve been reading that CVS is for US residents only. Can anyone confirm that they were successful with a free test in Orlando? I’m able to fill out the form with my provincial healthcare information (choosing “other”) but I don’t want to be denied when we get there. Worst comes to worst, I guess we’ll have to pay for testing. It’s still cheaper than other options…

Honestly I feel like a crazy person doing this trip now knowing my return relies on a neg test...all signs point to maybe don't go but here we are, gearing up to leave next week. I wish I could read some stories or reports from Canadians who have gone lately or are there!! Are we the only crazy people trying to navigate this mess???? lol
