That is PERFECT! Based upon past events, they won't even have to wait long. Nonetheless, announce this in December in the event that they open up additional spots.

I think 30s to 40s age group being the biggest makes since, since we have enough money to spend on this stuff ( I know I did not have enough money in my 20s for rundisney) and we are young enough to have not to many health issues yet that start creeping up as we get older.

You hit the nail on the head! I really don't want to hear about supply chain challenges in eight months. Figure it out NOW so you don't have to deal with problems later.

Additionally, figure out a way so that runners can actually purchase merchandise at the Expo instead of merch being bought out by eBay pirates. Whether it be pre-Expo online ordering or mandating a bib as a requirement to enter the Expo, runDisney has enough time to figure it out.

Can I please suggest that everyone on this board send a message to runDisney asking for them to do something about eBay pirates. If they hear enough voices, perhaps they might take action whether it be requiring a bib for entry or having online pre-ordering.

Absolutely. Also likely to have kids in the "Disney Age" that got us to the theme parks in the first place.

That will only work the first time they do it, and then the flippers would know.

I would suggest a bib requirement combined with pre-ordering and a max purchase amount (maybe max 2 of any one item, and a total max of [10] items). That way, the flippers won't purchase the bib since they won't be able to buy enough items to make the payoff worth it. At the expo, everything will still be a free-for-all with no restrictions, so Disney can still sell everything (including to flippers), but at least everyone with a bib could pre-order what they wanted.

I only hope that you're right and that they don't incorporate the splashy imagery in the medals.

I like the idea of pre-ordering and I suggested that to runDisney in my email. I suggested online ordering to them. If there’s online pre-ordering, runDisney can order enough merchandise to make everyone happy.

I was planning on skipping MW ‘23 (except for volunteering) since I’m still recovering from hip surgery and we’re moving to the space coast area next month. Nevertheless, both my DH and I love the Chip & Dale theme and will be registering for the 10k.

Why not use a travel agent, then? There's no cost and they make all the phone calls for you. I've had my reservation all squared away for Marathon Weekend for the exact dates I wanted for a couple of months now. No phone calls, just a couple of emails to the TA.

I’ve considered using one but I’m a bit chaotic in my trip planning. I usually book different rooms/hotels before deciding on one and shift dates a lot. Me not wanting to be annoying gives me about as much anxiety as having to call someone I’m a mess.
