People clueless about park reservations

Just curious - did you buy your tickets & still miss all of the "park pass reservations needed" notices, or have you not finished booking your trip yet? Either way, you will still receive emails between booking & arriving reminding you that they are needed.
One problem for me? I receive HUNDREDS of emails daily (And I have multiple email accounts). Disney also sends an email for EVERYTHING….relevant or not! I can see how easily that particular email may be overlooked. Also too many don’t realize how certain parks may book up WEEKS in advance. Again this system is insane. Disney has made their “magical” vacations one big stress ball. They are setting the average family up for multiple disappointments. But hey….keep hearing they’re no longer the focus of their marketing department. 💁🏻

What else is there to explain? You need a reservation to enter a park. Each of those provides a link to view reservation availability.
But why click if you thought you already did this with the calendar on the ticket window?

Because on at least one if the warnings it says park reservations can be made after your ticket purchase is complete.

If you read that and you picked your ticket dates prior to completing your purchase then its clear that wasn’t your park reservation.
You can’t blame Disney for you choosing not to read the various warnings or reminders they put on their pages during the ticket purchase process.

The fact that some folks on here cant even see a different side to things other than what they know is crazy. I know all this stuff I read I watch disney news and follow here. But put yourself in the shoes of someone who doesn't.. These warning mean nada if you read them knowing zero info. And no one should have to find the info elsewhere or research off the main page.

TBH there are sometimes that's the case, but I don't see it here at least largely speaking. Disagreeing with you does not constitute an inability to see your side.

There have been various posts about just what information the website gives, at some point you need to understand that some people won't ever get it no matter what information is thrown at them. You think that's Disney's fault. For me I'm just practical enough to think that's just life.

When you say see a different side you mean I can’t believe people don’t agree with me. There’s a reason people aren’t agreeing with you.
Disney puts out the info multiple times throughout the process on their website. It is there for people “who don’t know anything” as well as those who have done their research about their WDW vacation.
If someone chooses to not read all the info presented to them it is not in any way the fault of Disney.

I understand and plunty dont agree with me. My opinion is that the info is not layed out great and needs a revamp since many are not understanding it. Ofc people will fall through the cracks but when people who care still miss it I find a issue.

Fair enough. While I don’t think they need too because I think it’s pretty clear Disney could change the wording or add more warnings. It might help or it may be that if those people weren’t willing to read the info already there, adding more to read may not make a difference. There will be those who get it and those who don’t no matter what IMO.

I think simpler terms might work best all these warning are long.. and well the attention span of most humans now is very small lol. Just a simple [Must have park pass to enter any park on top of tickets purchased] or [To eat at any park reasturant you must have a Park Pass to enter said park first] https://www.disboards.com/attachments/663753/ is to many words and can be confusing to ppl who have no clue.

I don’t disagree with you here. Simple is usually better.

I truly don't think it can be more detailed or easily explained than this:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/experience-updates/park-reservations/
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/en-ca/experience-updates/park-reservations/

It has a video, it has it in writing, it shows the steps in nicely divided columns with pictures. It also took me less than 15 seconds to find. It doesn't get more spoon feed than this no matter how much it's argued that it's not well explained information or that it's unavailable for "regular folks".

If some folks are not able to understand the information provided about the system (regardless of the system being useful or not) or are unwilling to try then that's not on Disney.

I thought that video was legit just a fancy topper. The font in the middle is horrible. Would a Banner with [How park pass reservations work] and have it auto play have killed them? Sorry my graphic design background just hates stuff like this. I can prolly count on my hands how many people have clicked that video.

Talking as as a web developer, yes. Autoplay is not encouraged or user friendly. It literally says "Play full video" but I do agree that I dislike white text overlay precisely because it can be hard to see even for people with 20/20 vision.
