Spin-off of “I can still taste it”

Koogle and Marathon bars, yes. Koogle reminds me of at Grandma's. She always had it.

Marathon bars I think were 2 different things. If you google it, you'll get a lot of Snickers bars. The Snickers was I think originally called Marathon, but pictured is the Marathon bar I think we talk about. Also known I think in other countries as the CurlyWurly.

Anyone remember these? The "fizz" was so cool to me back then - like alka seltzer for kids. Aaaand probably loaded with Red Dye #5 - another gift of the '70s. The stupid stuff I loved back then. :sad2:
(Don't even get me started on those realistic candy cigarettes.)

Space Food Sticks, from the late 60’s. They were developed for the astronauts and marketed as an energy bar. We liked the chocolate flavor best, which I remember having similar taste and texture of a Tootsie Roll.

I just remembered Zeltzer Seltzer. I really loved it, but rarely got to drink it. You may recall the animated ads from TV.

Gas station novelty candy memories are exploding in my head.

This candy was just like the tiny candy bones that came in a coffin, only shaped like garbage.

Of course there were always movie and TV tie-in plastic heads with candy inside.

My favorite drink in the world when I was a teenager was Apple Slice soda. It was a dark day when they stopped making that.
