Koogle and Marathon bars, yes. Koogle reminds me of at Grandma's. She always had it.

Marathon bars I think were 2 different things. If you google it, you'll get a lot of Snickers bars. The Snickers was I think originally called Marathon, but pictured is the Marathon bar I think we talk about. Also known I think in other countries as the CurlyWurly.

Anyone remember these? The "fizz" was so cool to me back then - like alka seltzer for kids. Aaaand probably loaded with Red Dye #5 - another gift of the '70s. The stupid stuff I loved back then.
(Don't even get me started on those realistic candy cigarettes.)

Ding Dongs back when they were still wrapped in foil. We used to try to remove the foil without tearing it. I remember them as tasting wonderful.

Same, only in the northeast, we had Ring Dings and Yodels. I’d get them in my school lunch as a treat. We used to fold the foil wrappers into mini paper airplanes or origami animals.

Space Food Sticks, from the late 60’s. They were developed for the astronauts and marketed as an energy bar. We liked the chocolate flavor best, which I remember having similar taste and texture of a Tootsie Roll.

I remember Swiss Miss Pudding Pops. Yum!

Holy shazbot, I remember! I have not thought of these in at least a decade. These are really good, so creamy, with a subtle icy outer layer.

I just remembered Zeltzer Seltzer. I really loved it, but rarely got to drink it. You may recall the animated ads from TV.

Another classic that immediately brings dry, dusty taste-sensation memories is the GUM FROM TRADING CARDS.

I think this was a regional candy. Chocolate and coconut with a marshmallow/cream middle.

I didn't see them for a long time but now see them at Cracker Barrel and some convenience stores like Huck's.

I've gone down a mental rabbit hole. I remember this very tasty gum in gas stations. Sold in little orange juice containers.

Gas station novelty candy memories are exploding in my head.

This candy was just like the tiny candy bones that came in a coffin, only shaped like garbage.

Of course there were always movie and TV tie-in plastic heads with candy inside.

I remember the bulk candy bins at the grocery store. You would scoop up what you wanted into a bag and pay by the pound. My favorite was Brach’s Jelly Nougats.
