***Official September 2022 Thread***

I’ve been anxiously awaiting magic band + as well. I’ve pretty much given up hope of it being here before our trip. But our last trip was just a year ago, so we’ll reuse those bands if need be. I actually lost my band on that trip, but I used an Apple Watch after that and it was fine.

Hi! I just found this great thread! We have never been in September before so I am excited to see how we like it. We are brand new DVC Owners and just booked a quick last minute 4 night trip using our points and are also doing our first ever split stay at resorts we have never stayed at before. Plus we are going to our first MNSSHP! Lots of first time experiences for us this trip! We are booked from 9/14-9/16 @ BLT & 9/16-9/18 @ CCV. We have 2 Bedrooms booked at both resorts.

That's good to know. I'll have an idea when to pick up my treats and seats then.

Is anyone else disappointed that the Magic Band+ seems to have stalled again. They said for sale in the summer, but no actual date and no other news. Right now there's only 12 styles available and I have to make my selection by end of August, but that seems to be cutting in close for delivery honestly. I think the latest I would order would be one month out.

I first looked at Magic Bands a month ago. They had 3 solid colors at that time, and a cute lavender one with Minnie. I checked a few days later and they were down to 2 colors and Minnie was gone, so I ordered the mint and camo green ones since those colors are fine and I didn't like any of the specialty ones enough to pay extra for them.

So glad to hear everyone is getting what they want for ADRs! It gives me hope.

Congratulations on being new DVC owners!! pixiedust:That is fantastic. Last minute trips are so great and new resorts to experience. I know you will love MNSSHP. 🎃 The parade, treats, and usually low ride times are just so much fun. Bay Lake Towers seems to be a resort so many enjoy. The views I would imagine are beautiful of the Magic Kingdom.🏰 Copper Creek Villas at the Wilderness Lodge sounds awesome. The Wilderness Lodge is on my to-stay list. Such a beautiful resort. Congrats again on all your first time experiences for your upcoming trip. I will add you to the CountDown List on Page 1 of this thread. We will see you here for more planning and Disney Talk in the upcoming weeks as we all are so excited for our trips!!!:mickeyjum

Thank you so much! We are ecstatic ! DVC is a dream come true for me! We LOVE Wilderness Lodge and have stayed there several times, but never on the Copper Creek side so I am sure we will love it just the same! I can't wait to catch up on all the posts on this thread to help with my planning!

I was very sad about what happened but finally after another hour of holding got a very nice dinning cast member who helped me. I was so grateful for this person who was extremely kind. I could not make my reservations online because of the spilt stay. I got the following which can be difficult to get:
StoryBook dinning at Artists Point
Space 220 for lunch
Chef Mickeys
Ohanas
Was unable to get Toppalinas for breakfast or Beaches but I will keep watching.
I think I will have to call too. I have a DVC split stay and I'm looking to book StoryBook and Space 220. Next week is my ADR day. Now I'm not looking forward to it as much.

It was almost hard to believe especially when I got sent to Paris France and they were speaking French to me on the phone. Now it really does make me laugh (a little) that part anyway. I am sure you will not have any problems. They will connect you to a specialist for your split stay as they were supposed to do with me. I have found by calling back a couple of times since some cast members did not understand how to do this or connect me. I had to tell them after that first round I went through. They checked and then sent me to the right person. Everyone seems to be getting most of what they want. Let us know how it goes next week and sending positive thoughts for StoryBook and Space 220.

Today they’re down to just one tinkerbelle design. I’m torn on how to approach these. I think the ease and fun of scanning in is worth it and would probably splurge a little if we could order them now because they would bring some fun to the waiting. But if we have to take park time to find them and get them all set up idk if we’ll bother.

That sounds great!! Oddly enough, we have never eaten at Sci Fi. Is it odd to share a car with another party? Maybe because you are all facing the same direction, it isn't?

This morning I am drafting our dining plans... stay tuned.
I think maybe we've had to share a car once and it wasn't too awkward since we were all facing the movie screen.

Good luck with your dining plans!

I don't think we are seeing the same bands! I have been checking everyday, and haven't seen Tinkerbelle at all.

Good morning! I happen to accidentally stumble upon this thread last night. DH and I will be at Disney 9/3-9/10 sans kids for our 10-year wedding anniversary on 9/8. We have 5-day hoppers with G+, no parks on arrival or departure day and our rest day is Tuesday. We’re staying at the Dolphin so that we get deluxe perks at moderate prices. ADR day went very well yesterday. I booked Boma late breakfast, Skipper Canteen dinner, Steakhouse 71 breakfast before Keys to the Kingdom tour on Labor Day, Shula’s, Boma dinner, Space 220 Lounge dinner, Steakhouse 71 dinner, and Ale & Compass late breakfast for our departure. We’re only about 6 hours away so we drive down. On our way in we’re going to stop at Icon Park for Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. I’m ridiculously excited for that!
This is our 4th trip overall but our 2nd without kids. Our first trip was back in 2008 when our relationship was still fresh-ish. I joke that my now husband only stayed with me for the free vacation because I won that trip to Braves Spring Training Camp but they put us up at GF Club Level. 🙃 We had a 10.5-year break in Disney until Thanksgiving week 2018 which did not go even a little bit how we expected (the husband of the family we were traveling with decided to leave his wife the week before we left and it threw every single plan we made out the window). We came back to Disney in September 2019 as our re-do trip and had an amazing time. I can’t wait for the next 59 days to pass so I can make it back home! 🏰 Until then, we still have our family vacay (kids included) down to the Caribbean in only 13 days. It’ll be the kids’ first flight and first time out of the USA.

Hello! Going down for a split stay 9/2-9/7 in a 1 bedroom at GFV and then switching over to a 2 bedroom at BC 9/7-9/12 with some friends!

First ever fall trip with my little man (3 years old), and can’t wait to hopefully see some Halloween decorations! Excited to read back in this chat for tips :)

So today was dining reservation day for our stay. I didn't book any of the high demand restaurants but did get all I wanted to make sure we have the meals we want. We also have moved our reservation from 2 different hotels for everyone to 1 hotel so we are all together and not trying to meet up in weird locations or finding each other first thing in the morning at the parks. We are now going to be staying at AoA. Never stayed at this resort, but have stayed at POP many times before the Skyliner was built. Looking forward to having easy access to the Skyliner for HS.

We stayed at AoA on our 2018 trip. Overall, I liked it. We never had to wait long for a bus. The food court was pretty good, but I was tired of just one option there by the end of the week. I have to say, it was noisy in the room at night. The sound travels between rooms and bathrooms there, and hallway noise carried badly, especially if people weren't trying to be quiet. If that bothers anyone in your party, I recommend a sound machine and/or earplugs to help you sleep. Other than that, the rooms were great. Beds were comfy, we loved the theming, and having 2 bathrooms was really nice.

Sounds like a typical Disney value resort. We prefer the moderates and deluxes, but since we are taking our kids and grandkid and paying for the rooms we went a little cheaper and somewhere we haven't gone before.

I still don't get how they can classify AoA as a "value". I suppose it's because of the quality and the amenities, but it's absolutely not a price value for the suites. We paid more to stay there in 2018 than we will pay to stay next year at a moderate. I will miss the extra bathroom, but we will be fine with just one.

Thank you! I’m thinking we will do park first thing in the mornings, pool during day and then back in the evening for a bit.

I’m guessing there may be a different thread for this (so please ignore if this isn’t the best place) but is the Halloween party worth doing with a 3 year old who typically falls a sleep by 8:30-9 or am I better off waiting till he is a little older.

Our ADR day is coming up on the 14th and here is our list for our 10 park days:
Yak and Yeti
50's Primetime
Mama Melrose
Tony's
Coral Reef
Rose and Crown (hoping for the fireworks package)
Steakhouse 71
Skipper Canteen (twice)
San Angel
Biergarten

ADR's open up at 7:00 EST right? I should know this by now but question myself every trip.
