Things that should come back

Hello all,
My family and I first cruised in April of 1999 and looking back there are some things we would love to see return back to the Disney Cruise line up. The one I remember most is, forgive me if I get the restaurant name wrong it’s been a while, On the Magic they would have themed buffet lunches in Parrot Cay which were absolutely outstanding! I would love to hear other long time Disney cruisers thoughts of what they would love to see return.
Happy cruising!

The midnight dessert buffet! And other general food at night - its slim pickings to eat after dinner these days!
Was that the same as the chocolate buffet they used to have? I was trying to find a picture of that but its probably on an old SD card from back when we used digital cameras.

Thank you for your post!
We had our best memories on the Disney Cruise and it’s great to hear yours! I remember our first cruise, our daughter’s each received a Disney Cruise Line pillow case with a bedtime stories book and sugar cookies. It was one of the gifts you could purchase before you embarked. Even with all the changes I still feel it’s the best family vacation you can take. At least it’s still my favorite!

I doubt that many will remember this, but I wish that they would bring back the scavenger hunt on Castaway Cay that ended with pirate coins in a chest at the end of the hunt.

I never experienced this but I've heard of it and it sounds so fun. And I bet it's not expensive at all on DCL's side, I wish they would bring it back! But I bet too many people opted to not do paid experiences because they could do that

Mind you, we last did this 13 years ago when my now 16 y/o daughter was only three years old, but I don't remember there being an abundant number of people doing it. You had to go literally to at least ten locations from one end of Castaway Cay to the other to discover where the chest was located. My daughter (and therefore my wife) gave up after 30 minutes and I finished it by myself to get her a coin which we surprised her with under her pillow that night.

On all three of my cruises one section of the Magic or Wonder buffet lunch was themed differently each day. It was so nice to have fun options. German, Mexican, British, are just three I can think of. The best thing I ever ate was a Panamanian stew on my Panama Canal day.

From the sounds of it, if anything one would think it would increase bike rentals...

Anyone remember the races at CC.....I think they were hermit crab races in front of the gazebo. I also miss the character dance party they had in front of the gazebo. I know the last time I saw it was 2017.

I totally agree with the platinum boarding group! I was on the computer for almost an hour last night while it froze up and the best I could get was an 11:30 port arrival time and boarding group 8. Now that the testing requirement will soon be gone so should the nerve racking check in.

Bring back Platinum automatic Boarding Group 1...or 2...or even 3. Just don't make us have to stay up til midnight to jockey for position, while praying the website works.
Honestly I’d be happy with anything before noon as a PAT. The check in is at 5am UK time and it’s always awful to wake up then.

They still do this
