Is anyone planning on going on the TCM Classic Cruise 2022 next month? My wife & I would love to go sometime.

They have a wide variety of scheduled guests:
  • Chevy Chase
  • Richard Dreyfuss
  • Lainie Kazan
  • Deana Martin
  • Pat Boone
  • Bob Mackie
  • Sean Young
  • Wyatt McCrea
  • Mark McCray
  • Bruce Goldstein
The trip will be on the Disney Dream.

I would love to go on one. I saw another cruiseline, NCL I think, has a Broadway cruise that also looks amazing.

I would be interested some time . . . and as the years go by, those, hmm "less-busy" actors that they hire, have often been part of productions from the 1980's that were among my favorites.

My husband and I are going on the Nov 12 cruise. We have been on all of them. It’s amazing. this is the second time Dreyfus has been on. He’s great and very friendly. We have met so many old time movie stars, Shirley Jones, Kim Novak (a wonderful woman, so friendly), robert Wagner, Eva Marie saint, Ruta Lee, cicely Tyson, Mitzi Gaynor, Diane Ladd, Alex trebek….just a few. Lots of movies, interviews, dancing, trivia, etc And lots of Children of stars like Kate MacMurray, Errol Flynn’s daughter, etc

I highly recommend. We haven’t missed one yet.

I had no idea what this is being european, so I googled.. what hit me was the mention that most disney entertainment will be suspended... I mean why charter a Disney ship and then suspend the Disney entertainment??

I had no idea that this even existed (since it is a charter and doesn't show up on the DCL website). It would be interesting to know what the differences turn out to be in the experience (other than no DIsney entertainment because they are showing classic movies in the main theater all night). I could see someone being upset if they bought a 1BR concierge cabin and then found out you just get the cabin because the concierge lounge and sun deck were reserved for the celebrities and organizers, etc.

I was more wondering whether the theatre will have the regular shows, whether the characters would be out, whether there would be the normal cruise staff activities. Other interesting question: does a charter count towards your cc level?

The reason TCM uses Disney ship is because Disney owns TCM . The first two TCM cruises weee on celebrity. I much prefer Disney. These cruises count toward your total Disney cruise count. You get a reg Disney reservation number and your platinum status is recognized so we always get a palo dinner.

This is not a Disney cruise. It is a TCM cruise that happens to be on a Disney ship. There are no characters except in the kids programs, assuming there are enough kids to open them. There are no Disney shows. The theaters are for movies and interviews.

It would be very difficult to book this cruise thinking it was just like any other Disney cruise. You can only do it on the TCM cruise site not the Disney site.

And concierge is never available no matter how early you book. I assume those are all given to the stars and TCM staff members.

The cost is a bit more expensive than the reg Disney cruises but we have berm on every one and love them.

Warner Bros owns TCM, not Disney.

"
Is TCM part of Disney?

Turner Classic Movies (or TCM for short) is a 24-hour cable network dedicated to classic films. It was launched on April 14, 1994 by Turner Broadcasting System, owned by WarnerMedia. It airs mainly films owned by Turner, plus films licensed from other studios, including Disney."
