Favorite all time single item you've had at Disney?

Well, Flying Fish was the first place I ever tried brillat savarin, which is the best cheese ever created. But it was just a tiny piece on a cheese plate. If I had to name an entire dish, it would be the spicy gezpatcho I had a few years ago at the Earth Eats booth during the wine and food festival. I think i went back to the booth four times over two days, lol

Pre-DDP 2005 and earlier), Kona Cafe used to have the most amazing desserts. Every visit they had a different array of desserts that were all excellent and creative.

One I remember was an ice cream cone 'Mickey' sundae that was surrounded with candy floss clouds. It was just so fanciful and creative if overly sweet. The dessert came with little cups of candy so you could add decorations. It was cute.

A favorite dessert was at YC. They had a kid dessert that was a white chocolate Mickey puzzle kids painted with colorful edible paints. Talk about playing with your food! It was SO much fun!

I also miss the old macaroni and cheese WDW used to have. Every place had a different recipe, but it was always a blend of REAL cheese. Many offered cute Mickey shaped pasta. mind that was the era when almost every kid meal came with fries.

I also miss the veggie lasagna they used to have in the Land. Before they redid it. We would get orders of Mickey pasta and lasagna every visit.

Long ago, AKL had a special room service item that was a whole menagerie of chocolate delivered to your room on a tray. It included a small AKL sign made of stenciled chocolate that looked like the actual Animal Kingdom Lodge front sign, same font and colors. It cost like $50, but was SO special! It came with a detailed chocolate elephant, zebra domes, paw cookies, and more. The pastry chefs must've put in quite a bit of time crafting all the chocolates.

This is a fun topic!

French Onion soup at Chefs de France, paella at Jaleo, I had an amazing (I want to say New Zealand?) piece of salmon sashimi at Morimoto. Jiko’s old bread service. Crew’s cup sliders. Husband says Ama Ama scallops and escargot at Chefs de France.

Tiffins had a fabulous piece of beef with a chimicuri sauce when they opened. LTT used to have an a la carte pot roast entree. BOG had a great dish at lunch with pork, gravy and green beans. Satuli bowls with fish. Those are gone. But Sanaa bread service is still there!

The poutine and soup at Le Cellier

The French press coffee at Boma

The lobster tail at Narcoossee’s

The Tempting Tigress at Nomad Lounge

Breakfast: the breakfast pizza at Spoodles.
Lunch: the meat salad on the Restaurant Akershus buffet.
Dinner: fettuccine all’Alfredo at L’ Originale Alfredo di Roma.
For something that still exists, you can’t beat the ribs at Morimoto.

Food and Wine 2020 at the Earth Eats booths they had two Impossible items that were amazing. Impossible Farmhouse Meatball on lentil bread with veggies and an herb dressing and an Impossible slider with wasabi cream and spicy slaw. Heaven. We got both of these every time we walked past the booths, and Earth Eats had booths in two locations.

The more I think about my favourites, the more I realize I'm all about the appetizers and really don't enjoy entrees as much. Anyway, this is a few of my favourites

The virgin ice tea at Spice Table. I could drink that all day
Goat cheese ravioli at Cali Grill
The toast with tomatoes on it at Jaleo. Sounds basic, but it's amazing
The scallop forest at Raglan Road
Raspberry dole whip at MK - not fond of the other flavours

I'm probably forgetting something really good, but nothing else jumps out.

Ostrich filet slices appetizer at Jiko.

Banana split at Beaches 'N Cream ( partly the split, partly just being there )

The hamburger they used to have for lunch at Le Cellier. I ordered it one time with all the condiments for it on the side. I chose different combinations for each bite. That was the most fun I've ever had eating a burger.

Entrees, sides, desserts, festival food or drinks.
My all time favorite was the Lamb shank at Kouzzina by Cat Cora.
Most recent fave is Tamarind short ribs at Tiffins.
That lamb shank...

Kona used to have a coconut/panko chicken breast served with strawberry salad that is one of my very favorite dishes ever. That and peanut rice from Boma are the only two Disney recipes I've made here at home. Can't get the chicken anymore and have to hit Boma on the right night for the peanut rice.

The coconut curry tofu at Olivia's is pretty amazing! Also, for some odd reason, I love the oxtail soup at Boma. I mean... oxtail? But it's sooooo good!

There was a goat cheese tart of some sort at Raglan Road like 10 years ago..... I was sooooo sad to see it go. It was amazing.

Also pretty much any entree at Kona 5ish years ago.

I'm torn on the whole changing the menu constantly thing. On one hand I get trying new things and that people would probably get bored but then again when I have an amazing experience and then spend my next 2,3,4 trips trying to recreate that *one* time it's annoying!

Kona was a must do for us every trip until I finally realized I had been underwhelmed a few times in a row and it wasn't worth the trek over there anymore.

the more I realize I'm all about the appetizers and really don't enjoy entrees as much.
I'm kinda the same way from both a portion perspective and because I like the variety of a couple appetizers. I always want to just order apps off the menu but feel like the server will think I'm a wierdo.

I thought of one last thing :the corn souffle side that came with the lobster tail dinner at Narcoosees about 5 years ago. They did it differently when we went last year. This thread is making me realize I had so many fun Disney food experiences back in the "Free Dining" days... I get it wasn't free but also I never ever ever would have ordered that much food and done that many sit down restarsunt if I was paying cash for it so we got to try so many things and new places.
