Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween 2023 Super Thread

Any ideas how much the parade viewing cost? Adults and Kids pricing?
I love the idea of my kids being able to have a good view, the parade will be a priority for them. I booked an early dinner for 4pm at Wine Country Trattoria (mainly because that was the only place left to book) so kids would probably appreciate the desserts by the time the parade starts.
Last year the dessert party was $89 pp, inclusive of tax and gratuities. I believe it was the same price for adults and kids except for those 2 and under who would be lap sitting.

Here are the terms and conditions from my 2022 confirmation email. It reminded me, we were near the front of the line and got lucky being seated at one of the few tables for 2. However, most tables are intended for groups larger than 2.

HHN last year was miserably busy. I want to go again this year but I don’t know if I can handle how crowded it was.
If you are interested in a Private RIP tour, there is a group on Facebook that helps interested people to fill a private group. (Private Groups are 10-12 people.) The name of the Facebook page is "Halloween Horror Nights - Orlando"
I think, from there, you can look in their chat section for a chat called "Private RIP Tour Group Finder"

I am a member of that chat. My husband and I are looking for ppl who want to join a Private RIP tour on Saturday September the 23rd. The price for Private RIP varies dependent on day. Saturdays are expensive. Price would be $460 per person. If you would like to join, please private message me there in the chat for details. See you in the fog!

The Hollywood RIP tours are mixed groups (I think up to about 12 to 14 people) so you can buy it as a single guest for about $450 (give or take some depending on the date). I've done it multiple years in the past and it's been perfectly fine being with a group. Almost walk on (maybe three to five minute max wait) for every house and ride. Usually done about two hours before the night is over and then you can repeat anything you want as much as you want. It's fantastic.

They do offer private private tours but those are in the thousands and you need a group of like 20 to bring it back down to the same price as the "public" RIP tour.

Thankyou, do you know when it will be available to book and if it’s something that sells out super fast?
I’ve decided to do it so my kids can have a good view.

Not sure but in previous years it has not sold out fast based on my recollection. That could always change though. If the main reason is for a good view you may want to consider saving that money for something else. It is pretty easy to get a good view of the parade with minimal wait.

I was able to snag a 4:30 for Lamplight on 9/24! I’m excited because I’ve always wanted to eat there but never wanted to waste precious park time with a scheduled sit down meal. The crazy mix in time will be perfect! Hopefully 4:30 is a good time… I’ve heard some mixed reviews that mention slow service.

I have a logistics question. If all goes well, we will be in the 3 o’clock messy line to get into DCA on our party night. We have a couple of things (locker & DAS) to get. We will also be hangry as well. Can you exit DCA and perhaps get dinner at Craftsman Grill? Do you think they will let you use the entrance back into DCA or would you have to go through DTD to the main DCA entrance.

I am thinking that my DD wouldn’t like a sit down meal and we love the quiet, out of the way yet close Craftsman Grill.

You can definitely use the GCH entrance into DCA for the party. That is a great idea to go to the Craftsman's Grill and hang out before the party.

Unfortunately I don't remember how quickly the packages went last year. But we bought ours on the first day people started noticing them available on the site, which was August 23.

I don’t think you can enter DCA, leave, and re-enter all with OBB tix. (Our tix say good for one entry.) So I would go to GCH first and then enter the party through the GCH entrance.

I'll gently disagree on this. Someone might know for sure, but I'm pretty sure re-entry is allowed for OBB.

At least on my OBB ticket, the fine print appears to be the generic text for day tickets. (And re-entry is allowed on day tickets, so I assume "one entry" isn't meant as "one time through the gate".)

The tell is the underline - which definitely doesn't apply to an OBB ticket:

"This Disney eTicket allows for one entry at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park main entrance turnstile."

(There's a later section that reads: "Not valid for special or premium events and or other activities", and OBB is definitely one of those.)

Oh, great! Thanks!

I am jealous, that is exactly what I was wanting to do! My fridge broke last night and in the ensuing madness I forgot to try for reservations this morning and now nothing is available that day. 😩😩😩

I am not sure if I am the only one who did this last year (also I have not seen any indication it is returning yet), but last year Wine Country Trattoria did a parade package as well. Don't run away screaming, I am aware WCT has not the best reputation. ;)

Now if you want a chair this is not for you, seating was on the ground. But the area was very much empty, not like the stretch of tables and more tables that were put out for the dessert party. I waltzed up 20 minutes before parade time and was the first party.

The package could be booked for lunch or early dinner, and it was cheaper than the dessert party at $59. I liked having something in my stomach before all the candy, but that may be the German speaking. ;)

Food was basics from the normal menu, soup or salad as starter and then the normal mains like the Vegetable Lasagna or Chicken Parmesan. Average I'd say. The dessert was a cutesy themed "Mistress of Evil" Cake which I actually liked a lot.

I got pictures on the Pokemon phone I think, I'll go and find them if anyone is interested.

This was a pre booked reservation, or something you added on night of? Would love to see pics if you have them!

You only need the in-park check-in if you used another ticket to enter the park. If you’re using your OBB ticket, you’ll get your party stuff as you enter.

By “Halloween Screams show” do you mean the fireworks at DL park? Those will be finished long before OBB is over. OBB doesn’t include a fireworks show.

Oh no!! I’m sorry about the fridge and not getting a reservation! Hopefully something will open up for you. I will say I’ve always had luck eating at QS locations during the mix in period so sitting down somewhere isn’t a must to eat before the official start of the party.

I picked up Magic Key Lounge this morning. Not my favorite but it should nice up there away from the chaos. 😂
