2024 will be our first visit during the Holiday season.

We've been to the Halloween party a few times and always enjoy them. Thinking we may want to try Christmas party this time.

Anyone who has done Christmas party or both, would you recommend trying the Christmas party?

We’ve done both and enjoyed both. We prefer the Christmas party as we’re not Christmas people but still really enjoyed both!

Lol, missed the Truck or Treating though!! That gives Halloween a boost the Christmas party doesn’t have. 🍬🍫🍭

I’d highly recommend both!!

Thank you both! I'm not a huge candy person, so I won't miss that. The Christmas party seems very cheerful.

I'm pretty sure we will go.

We've done both. We prefer the Halloween Party and I think a major reason is the entire park atmosphere changes. With the Christmas it really doesn't feel any different than is usually does except for the parade. We would do 2 Halloween Parties every year but only do the Christmas once every 6-7 years. We are overdue for one so considering for our Dec trip but the cost* really does cause me to pause since it's not much different than a non-party night. Really depends on if you are big on celebrating, I think the cost goes a long way in paying for table service meals.

PS We do "dressup" for it. Not a full costume like Halloween but last trip DS#1 wore a Santa suit tshirt and santa hat with Mickey ears. Rest of family wore elf suit tshirts and elf hats. It made it a bit more festive for us and was great in photos.

* Well I looked at the ticket prices during our trip and it is a hard no. That is a lot of food, snacks and day to day fun we can have.

I have been to both and both are great.

If you like candy, the Halloween party rules. The Christmas party has cocoa and cookies, but you aren't going to bring home a sack full of those. Our party probably brought home $40 in candy.

However, you do have to go around picking up the candy, which could take time away from rides or watching shows.

The weather is more of a risk at the Halloween party, however, as thunderstorms are more common in August, Sept and October. As are hurricanes.

I love the Halloween party! It’s my fav thing and I’m mad I didn’t do it years ago but have been doing 2 a year since 2018.

The Christmas party we only do once a season. It’s nice to see Santa, it’s nice to have snow, but it’s just not as fun. It is cool to see lots of red n green outfits but the Halloween costume watching was an event on its own😂

Not sure why they charge more for Christmas vs Halloween?

If nothing else you should try it just so you can cross it off your bucket list. 🎅🏻

We have been to both parties in the past. Our favorite by far is Halloween. After the Christmas parties end (around 12/23), you can see the special holiday fireworks and parade at MK as part of your normal park visit. Something to consider that would save you money depending on when you plan to go.

We prefer the Halloween party. For the holiday season, I prefer Epcot’s Holidays Around the World.

Like almost everyone else I prefer the halloween party BUT the christmas party still brings a nice dose of festive cheer in some of WDW's more forgiving weather. If you're an AP holder who's paying close to $200 just to get in for some parades and shows, it can be a hard decision, BUT if you would be paying for entrance into MK anyway, and get to enjoy the park and party from 4PM-midnight I think it's worth it!

Don’t forget to stop by GF to see the lobby and gingerbread house. The tree at WL is also fun to see.
And the carousel at Beach Club - it’s a ‘must do’…I prefer it to the GF gingerbread house - mostly due to the huge crowds at the GF lobby - both structures are roped off but with the gingerbread house, you can’t even get close - BC’s lobby is much calmer…

They gave our Cheryl’s cookies last year for Christmas party which I love and probably came home with $50 plus in them , may have gone through some a couple times those cookies aren’t cheap.

Ya I visit those too! I just meant if at a party you could do those earlier in the day.

We have done both and we love the Halloween party and like the Christmas party. We will do the Halloween party again and again, but the Christmas party was a one and done - we had fun, but don’t need to spend the money on it again.

My recommendation is to go to the Christmas party to form your own opinion - you may be the opposite of me. I think the Christmas party is definitely something to do once ::yes:: 👍🏻

Wouldn’t it be something if there was a Christmas party at HS as well as the normal one at MK?

Like how there are two Halloween parties this year.

There is ... Jollywood Nights.

I don't think there are two Halloween parties ...
