Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

I feel like the airport could use more actual signage though, not just screens. We somehow missed the area to check are bags and had to back track from security 🙃 The tsa agent made it seem like it happens a lot.
That's what prompted a comment I made in another thread. I felt it needed more signage as well.

We used the parking garage which was so nice! Loved they they had signals for open spaces.
Oh yes I love when places do this! It's so helpful maybe not 100% working all the time but sure beats wasting your time going up and down the aisles when there's no spots at all.

That makes me feel a bit better, we couldn’t believe we missed it. I agree about it being a bummer chick fil la backed out, there wasn’t really much to grab to eat so early. We were going to attempt grabbing Dunkin’ but with the luggage chaos it didn’t work out.

I've done this exact thing to combine smaller credits into one larger one. (also confirming the same thing you're seeing - they were all from the same flight and the system saw the credits separately and I couldn't use them all until I combined) Are the credits for you and your daughter both from the same original reservation? If so you should be able to use 2 credits for each of you, so 4 total, the system automatically applied my daughter's credits in the same situation. If there are different reservation numbers for all 4 credits then I *think* should should still be able to use 4 but I can't say for certain from personal experience.
Thank you! Will work in this today!
What I do when I have multiple travel funds is to buy a ticket with whatever funds I can without paying any additional cash. Then if I still have remaining funds, I wait a day and then change my ticket to a more expensive ticket. That way I slowly use up the travel funds without creating more funds. They goal is to get it down to one fund instead of multiple ones. :)

For example - I use two funds to buy a $49 ticket. Then I go back the next day or so and change the ticket to a $59 ticket or higher, in an attempt to use up all those remaining travel funds. The goal is to not use any new cash. I usually end up with a little remaining fund, which is fine. :)
Love this idea and I’d never thought of doing that! We have some small talravel credits but every penny counts!

I don’t always follow this thread so May have missed this conversation but wanted to mention-

Last week when we took our Mears shuttle to MCO there was a secondary SW luggage drop off feet from where our shuttle dropped is off!! No need to drag our luggage through the airport to the other terminal and join the massive line inside the airport!! Our luggage was checked and we were ready to go 5 mins after arriving at MCO via our shuttle.
I was alerted to this option by a notice on the SW app. It’s open 6:00AM - 2:30PM Fri - Mon.

I have a few questions....

DH and I have upcoming flights from MCO to LAS and we have a layover (each way) that shows a "no plane change" and I've never had a flight like that so I have some questions:

(1) are we allowed to leave the plane when we drop off/pick up new folks and or do we stay on the plane and just sit there while more folks come on board and

(2.) if we can leave the plane, and its time to get back on the plane, do we pre- board before the "new" travelers board, or do we have to take all our stuff off and then re-board like everyone else?

Also, I got us Anytime fares, but I have my free upgrades available in my SW credit card account - can I do that online ahead of time now - I feel like the last time I did this it was before they made some changes and I had to do it at the gate when we arrived.

THANKS!
I have twice had a flight that was supposed to be as you described but both times we were told while in flight on the first leg of the flight that we would instead be changing planes at the layover. Both times boarding was a bad joke as the first time we were told to board at the end even though we had purchased EBI. The second time we were told to line up after the family boarding. I'm sure this was just bad luck on our part, but something to be aware of.

7:40am this morning SW from STL to MCO. Zero preboarders…102 family boarders - 34 children with 2 adults per child; they were being strict. I counted as they walked past my seat. B group is getting the shaft.
They should have suspended family boarding with that many, even with some possible lap babies, that's too many in Family Boarding in ratio to the number of passengers a plane can hold. At that point they should have just had people line up in their actual Boarding position. You might consider reaching out to SWA for that.

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. I am really disappointed about SWA discontinuing the drink coupons! We rarely used them, but it was such a nice perk every once in a while.

I hadn't heard that. Are they still allowing people to use drink coupons that they already have and haven't used yet? The one's I have say good until November 30,2023.

EEEEKK!! Jut checked our MCO-LAS flights that had a "layover but dont change planes" - and they had a NON-STOP option that must have been new!!

AND, SW changed our flight times on the return flight by 5 minutes so I had a the "you can edit your flight if you want" an it let me change to the non-stop for free!!

Love some good luck flight time!

One of our December flights had a price drop but also a schedule change (only by minutes). I think because of this schedule change, and the two free changes that come with it, I can't rebook the same flight for the lower price. Do we have to cancel the flight all together and rebook at the lower fare? Or is there another option I'm missing?

Correct the schedule change waiver of fare difference is overriding the normal process. In order to do it online you'd have to cancel and rebook. The better option is to call in and they will take care of you in a few minutes.

Gave them a call this morning and it was quick and easy as you said! Thanks!

Check your fares. I just saved 14000 points on our December flights to Mco. Also saved 16000 points on our Christmas flights To ISP.

We have anytime fares booked December 2 with points down & December 8 with cash home. Last week I saved $80 on the flight home for the 2 of us. I checked about 7 tonight, saved another $60 on the flight home & almost 6000 points for the way down.

I just booked my flights for a trip in January. $242 RT from MKE. A lot less than what my October trip was when I booked it.

Can I modify my trip myself if the fares decreased?
If so, can someone explain how?
Also, how do you know what you paid for each way?
My confirmation shows the total round trip, so I can't tell which flight went down, or if it's a little of each.

Yes you can change it yourself. In your account, the reservation will display, click change reservation. There is a page to confirm passengers you want to change & which flight you want to change if you have a round trip. You just select the same date. All flights that day will display & it will tell you how much of an increase or decrease for each. Select the same flight if that’s still what you want. If you booked with points, they will go back to your account. If you paid cash & are eligible for a refund, you will get an option to return the refund to method of payment or travel funds.

If you find there isn’t a savings, you don’t have to complete any changes.

Pretty much this, but you are only eligible for refund to method of payment if you have an Anytime or Business Select ticket. If you have a WGA or WGA+ ticket, you will get a Travel Fund that can only be used on SW and has a couple other caveats related to which fare type you had.
