Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

Tomorrow at 7:35 lol. I booked this through the travel rewards card I got kinda recently so I'm getting my first experience seeing if I can knock out a switcheroo. Problem is that it looks like there are *no* Alaska flights going to LAX from the NYC area, I'd have to imagine a bunch of them, maybe all of them use the same plane. They're working on getting me on a Delta flight instead but if that doesn’t work I have another flight in mind and I’ll just get a refund for the Alaska flight.
They couldn’t get anything without an overnight layover so I got a refund and a new flight that gets in at the same time (🎉) but has a very quick connection in Dallas (🫠). We’ll see how it goes!

Good luck!

My husband and kids booked a back up flight Friday into LAX. Original flight has them leaving Wisconsin at 425p into SNA but we are forecasted for 6-10 inches of snow. The new flight leaves at 11:53am same day. I think my husband is going to wait until morning of to decide which flight. Is their best option to Uber/lyft from LAX to Disneyland? My kids are 5 and 7 so they’ll have car seats. Just wondering if there is a better option or something similar to the the busses at WDW. Not having to bring their car seats would be nice. I see they will have to take a shuttle to the rideshare area.

Unfortunately they stopped the Disneyland shuttles AFAIK, so Uber/lyft will be the only option.

I don't think there is. I looked into it and didn't really find any good options, was either private shuttles or rideshare. Ended up getting a rental car, wasn't that much more expensive than what I was seeing for the shuttles.

A bit of an adventure on my connecting flight but I made it. Apparently there is a wheelchair in a cabinet for emergencies that must be onboard before you can fly. Ours was missing (thanks to the flight attendant who alerted the captain to that ... not!). We weren't allowed to leave without it, and they couldn't find one for us. I was pretty sure they were going to cancel the (full) flight, but miraculously they found another plane for us with the same seating! We de-boarded, changed gates, and 2 hours late we were on our way. So lucky/not lucky! But very relieved to have made it. People were taking pictures of the cabinet (with missing chair) as we de-boarded to post on social media as a "believe it or not" type of thing. You learn something new every day. I could hear the flight attendants talking, wondering how many flights had gone without it. I guess the airline could be subject to all kinds of fines, etc.
Huh not entirely sure but I’m guessing that’s an aisle chair. Not all airlines fly with one. But if they do it is a fairly important piece of accessibility because it allows chair users who can’t just get up and walk to be able to get out of their seats if need be without having to pull themselves across the floor.

A bit surprised that the airline has the level of integrity to wait on until they have one on board before taking off. Most aren’t that good at that. But still nice. Do you mind passing on who you were flying? Definitely want to note that for the future. I don’t need an aisle chair ftr but still good to know

Side note I got group 28

Thanks. I figured from the research I did. I’m trying to make their travel day as seamless as possible. Hopefully it won’t be too much of a hassle for us small town kids 😅

I got group 8.

I have 1 extra spot that I can coordinate with someone if they want to join me.

Just to warn you, since Im working remotely, if I get pulled into an unscheduled work meeting I'll need to delay getting in line.

I was in the app with my boarding group set up refreshing to hit join queue right at 7 and…boarding group 128 😫
