We rented from an individual

I don't recall anyone who had FP issues state they rented points so that's a good thing. Just keep doing what your doing planning your trip and we'll see what happens. Don't give it a second thought. :flower3:

By watching the first parade in Frontierland or Liberty Square you'll have plenty of time to find a nice spot on Main Street to watch the fireworks. So let's work this out...

8:45 - 9:35 Parade at 9:15
9:35 - 10:30 Fireworks at 10:15

If you watch the parade between Country Bear Jamboree and Frontier Mercantile (magenta dots) there is a breezeway that will give you access into Adventureland.

As seen. Walk through and make your way to Main Street.

Do you see the magenta dot? This is where you should be after crossing over. Now, work your way towards Main Street. You'll have a few choices but go with whatever has the least crowd.

The further back the better the view.

Thank you so much for this! We always watch the FoF parade from Frontierland so we will probably do the first parade here! I'm wondering since we want to meet Moana, is it best to stay in this area after we meet her until the parade starts?

Looking at your original itinerary: Post #288 which has not been revised, kinda hard to tell!

I don't know what else you plan on doing but it seems that would be a long wait in that area.

FYI - We still haven't worked on your plan since this was done: Post #319.

Just messaged you! I couldn’t remember how to revise the post!

Myself and my 10 year old son will be attending the Halloween Party on October 25 and 28 (staying at BLT from October 25-30). We arrive on Southwest at 12:45 AM the morning of the 25th and have a hotel reserved near the airport. I imagine that we will check out around 10:00 and make it to BLT around 11:30. I’m hoping to get into room around 2 for an hours nap and lunch.
3:40-4:10. Check in both days
4:15 Jack and Sally (October 25)
5:15-5:30 Moana (October 25)
4:15 7 Dwarves (October 28)
I’m going to try to limit the character m&g to 7-8 over the 2 nights, with only Jack Sparrow and Winny being the only other must do.
Take as many magic shots as possible with the least amount of time waiting. If I pass one and the line is shot, I stop. If not, I move on.
See the second parade show on the 25th, followed by Hocus Pocus and shopping a little bit on the way out.
My son isn’t a big fireworks fan. He doesn’t hate them but doesn’t like to stop and watch them, so I’ll see what I can while walking and if I really feel that I would like to see them, I’ll watch them from the TOTW bar at BLT on another night.
I know that my sons goal will to ride 3-6 rides, hopefully the 3 that will be specially outfitted for the Party, and trick or treating. Flying Southwest means 4 checked bags between the 2 of us. Those will have food in them for our 6 days at BLT (going to 2 Parties meant cancelling 2 dinners) and will have candy in them going home.
Any suggestions are appreciated and I’ll be checking here for actual itineraries after the Parties start in Augus
And a big thanks Fox c63, for all the time and effort that you spend on this thread. It’s a wealth of information. Hopefully, I’ll run into a few of the people here that are going on either the 25th or 28th of October.

Thanks for the kudos but to be honest I really rely on the help of my friends to make magic happen! I also want
to :welcome: you and @Fantasia79 to the itinerary thread! Glad you found us and hope we can help you.

I do have a few questions for you @Dean1953, how are you getting from the airport hotel to WDW? Would you be willing to move Moana's time? You'll get hit pretty hard trying to see her then, the wait will be long.

The line for the dwarfs starts forming closer to 5 as they don’t start meeting until 6:20. I’d plan to head to them after meeting Jack & Sally on the 25th. Line up for Moana at 4 on the 28th (assuming she starts meeting at 5:30 like she did last year).

Thanks so much! Still working on an itinerary, with my wife’s sister’s family coming, might be totally fluid with plans. But, I’m enjoying seeing strategy posted here!

Excellent! Not sure how many people are in your group or if you plan on staying together but if you do for meet & greets be sure to utilize "Tag Team". You'll be able to get more done and rotating makes it more fun!

@Dean1953Would you be willing to move Moana's date? You'll get hit pretty hard trying to see her then, the wait will be long.

You read my mind! Sorry @Dean1953 , I meant move Moana's date! :joker:

I haven’t contacted Magical Express yet but do have transportation to and from the airport to the hotel. When I do contact Magical Express, I’ll give them the flight number of a flight arriving on the 25th between 10 and 11 AM. I’m certainly willing to change any of my tentative itinerary listings, so I’ll move Moana’s date.

Sounds perfect for Magical Express!

I've only attended parties during the last week in October and I'm thinking you'll be better off trying to get more things done on Thursday, Oct 25th, I would even forgo the fireworks and the parade (weather permitting). From my experience Sunday, Oct 28th will be more crowded.

Thursday, Oct 25th
3:40-4:10 Arrive at MK & get wristbands
4:15-5:15 Jack and Sally
5:20-6:40 Dwarfs
6:50-7:50 Pooh & Gang

Sunday, Oct 28th
3:40-4:10 Arrive at MK & get wristbands
4:15-5:45 Moana
5:50-6:10 FP+ Pirates of Carribean
6:15-6:30 Grab a snack nearby
6:30-7:15 Jack Sparrow

If interested you can see wait times I posted on the 2017 Character List to help you gauge how much time is needed to meet them. Each time frame is a link to the actual post from fellow DISer's, just be mindful of their party date: 2017 Character List - Post #6
