New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

I just went to order my 5 day ticket from UT and they seem to be all gone. I could kick myself for waiting until tonight.

I have a hypothetical question .... if I were planning a trip for early December, would you buy the tickets under the Canadian discount now (like tonight ), or do you think it would be cheaper under the new pricing model. Planning on being there sometime around the 6 of December for 8 days.
Never been at that time of year so I am wondering if that time of year is considered low attendance in which case the tickets may end up being less than they currently are.
TIA

That made me smile !!!!
Thanks

Whenever I am on the phone with Disney and even mention the word “glitch” they ack like they have never heard of such a thing ... I am very far from tec savvy and I even get lost in the real world but I do believe in glitch’s (I do I do)
I am pretty sure we do not have any one day tickets left so they where not mine anyways but it was funny to see them disappear so fast (I do have some old 7 day tickets that better never vanish and that is why I check every now and then just to be safe)
How can they claim they don't know what a glitch is, they put one in the movie Wreck it Ralph? Of course they know what it is. But they aren't going to be keen on acknowledging them publically.

Len has already stated that they will have tickets for sell until 10/29. When I asked about them possibly selling out it was said they have an agreement to offer them till that date. Are you doing physical tickets or e tickets?

All I can say is that when Disney made the change from "Park Hopper", "Park Hopper Plus" and "Ultimate Park Hoppers" to the current "Magic Your Way" passes in 2005 they continued to honor the PH, PHP, and UPH tickets at the gate but they could not be upgraded. My fear is that this will be the same when they roll out this new ticket structure tomorrow. 2005 was the last time that such a major overhaul of the ticket system was done. Changes that have occurred since that time (eliminating the no-expiry option, adding an expiration date) have been minor changes in comparison?
This is exactly what I'm afraid of.

I'd buy now. In fact, that's what I did (for very early Feb). I just don't believe prices will go down enough to make it worth waiting or worrying about it. If my dates end up being cheaper, than so be it.

I am doing E tickets. They were in my cart all day and I just went to purchase them, put in my credit card info, and it came back error...cart is empty. It looks like very few options are now available.

It's too late now, but you can purchase Disney e gift cards on target.com in up to $500 denominations. It gets sent directly to your email and the 5% Red Card discount still applies.
Good to know (as I am scratching away at these $50 and $25 cards .. heh). I thought I had looked at target.com and couldn't find anything but $100 ones. I must have saw physical ones, not digital ones.

What? How did I not know this? I’ve done the discount Target purchase for thousands of dollars a in gift cards. I went to 2 different Targets to get mine to buy our AP this weekend.
I’ll make sure to find this for the rest we need to pay for our resort and food. Thanks!

FYI - as someone who has done that with a bunch of smaller cards, sometimes it is easier to like peal the silver off rather than scratch it

I was going to buy 4 day base tickets for my MIL for a trip this december prior to the changes but procrastinated on buying them, debating if she might want 5 days. Well, of course, tonight when I went to buy them boardwalk ticketing doesn't have any tickets up (they were there just a few hours ago), UCT only has the hard ticket 4 day ones, with a delivery date of after our FP day and I wanted the later expiration date from e-ticketsjust in case something would happen with her health, etc and we had to cancel she would be ale to use them next year sometime (and if we pay more to ship I might as well just buy from Disney tonight), and parksavers says all tickets are sold out. I was able to buy etickets from The Official Ticket Center, and got the preliminary email that says they got my order. Reading the small print, it also says it;s just a confirmation that they got my order but not that it is being processed. Normally I wouldn't think anything of that, since that's how online orders also go, but now I'm paranoid they won't be able to honor it since everywhere else seems to not be selling etickets at this time. There's literally nothing I can do about it right now, but I'm worried I won't end up getting the tickets. My DH will disown me if I end up having to have her pay a lot more for her tickets under the new system, since he can never understand why I wait until the last minute to do things! This is a perfect example of why I shouldn't and he is correct >:(.

Well looks like Disney want me to call them... I tried to renew my AP online (with normal and incognito browser session) and I get this message "Sorry, but we are unable to complete your purchase online at this time. Please call (407) W-DISNEY or (407) 934-7639 for assistance, or try again later." :(:(:(

Maybe those needing help buying/finding tickets tonight could email Len Testa? Or PM (he's posted in this thread). See if he can shed any light on the 10/29 comment he made regarding ticket availability.

Well - one potential nightmare avoided and one to go -(fp+ day is Sunday) - but- had an almost painless ticket purchase ( didn't want to take the chance of waiting till tmw)

Bought our MYW tix - only glitch was with my DD ticket (was assigned to me ) - was able to reassign it (after a couple tries)
** sigh **
