I looked for a thread on the new hulu show and could not find it

I personally don't understand why the mom would not let gypsy grow up my mom has let go and we are the best of friends

She was mentally ill. It is so sad and frustrating the lengths she would go to keep her "little girl". The show is amazing. I am an episode of 2 behind, but I have loved it.
