Ugh I just checked the hours for our trip in June. We are planning our days to include AM EMH because I couldn’t get FOP fastpass. I’m still trying for them.
Anyways I see that AM emh starts at 7am! Gawd, that’s early! Should we still aim to be at the park entrance an hour before as we are heading straight for FOP? I don’t even remember what time the busses start running to/from the resorts. Not looking forward to a 5am wake up time (getting dress and eating a quick breakfast)!

Honestly if you're looking to ride FOP without Fastpass be there are early as humanly possible. Pretty sure that everyone in EMH is going to stampede over there!

I know! It's so early.... Our AK day in June is now 7am EMH as well. We have FOP so we will go to Navi first. I am hoping I don't have to be so early and can roll in around 7am and still get on with a reasonable wait prior to hoping over to Dinoland and then EE FP at 9am.

I recently noticed AK has 7am EMHs on an upcoming trip for us as well. Have never done AK EMH that early but have been contemplating doing it this trip for “board research”. :-)

Guess I’m in for an early morning! :rotfl2:

We loved it and it was COLD when we went last year. We walked on NRJ and then went to the rest of the park. There was NO LINE at Starbucks. It was like a dream. Had the rest of the park to ourselves. Totally worth getting up that early. My husband rode EE 4 times in a row lol.

I need this for my sales pitch. So far ‘board research’ isn’t working so well. May have to use your post for help. :-)

:faint:

I've never ridden it, but watched videos. Going to try it for the first time in 19 days! 4 times though....I don't think I could stomach it.

If they just recently changed the park hours keep checking for FPs. If regular park hours were also adjusted they should add FPs for the new regular park hour.

Ugh looks like I’ll be up at 5am and try to catch a buss at 6ish. Are the busses running that early?

I live on the app and nothing ever pops up. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?:headache::confused:

The date is June 3rd regular hours are 8-10 with emh at 7am

Funny story, my 63 year old mother got on Mount Everest! When the train started going backwards all we could hear was my mom say “oh shippp” (the word wasn’t ship)LoL! we were like hey Mom you know there are kids on this ride:rotfl::rotfl:

My family will be there the same day. We are planning to get there at 6:30am. We are staying at B Resort so we are driving there. This is our first trip ad we don't know the way of the land so we just hope we can do a fast pace walk to get there. Our Navi FP is at 9 so we will wait. Ugh I hate that we have to be there so early. We have a FP for FOP but its our very last day. Hope to see you there!!!!!!

I did 7am EMH at AK back in Feb this year over President’s weekend.
They started letting people through the tapstiles at 6:35 and straight to Pandora, there was no secondary holding point on the bridge. I arrived at 6:30 and there was a large crowd ahead of me; luckily I was a solo traveler so I could walk briskly and snake through the crowd a bit before it becomes a proper line. So I’d definitely say try to arrive closer to 6/6:15 if wanting to ride FOP. The first buses should be running before 6am, I was running late so I took an uber.

I rode FOP, then over to Navi which was still a walk-on. Stopped at a cart to pickup breakfast and was exiting the park 5min before 8am(had to head back to my hotel to attend a conference lecture that morning). Great experience, I love how peaceful and cooler AK is in the morning and surely the rest of the park will have low waits probably for first 2 hours.

Yep we did exact same but we were lucky enough to have fop fastpasses

We had FoP and Safaris FPs. After we rode those we grabbed a FP at HS, went back to Pop for a while then hopped over. :)

We have a Fastpass for FOP but it's on the last day of our trip. We have never been on FOP so I have no idea what to expect.

Is it worth the hassle of getting up at 5:15 to get to the park at 6:00 to fight our way to FOP at rope drop or should I just thank my lucky stars I have a FP and go with that?

I am doing exactly what you mentioned (going with FP) and probably try to RD Navi, which sounds like a much easier experience. My kids would love to do it twice, but we will have to settle for doing it once. I am still worried about RD at 7am and we will probably be late, but I am hoping I can still get through Navi, Dinosaurs and Triceratops before 9am EE FP+!

Exactly what I would have to do. I am just going to play it by ear. If kids decides to get up super early we will go for it. If not, we will just have to wait for our last day!

EMH is not as bad as Rope Drop. The earlier the EMH, the better off you are. For a 7AM EMH, Id suggest being in line by 6-615 at the latest. They likely will start letting people in at 645

Looking at the ages of your kids - if they are with you - do you want to get up that early? Will they? I have kids in a similar age bracket and they would probably not want to go to Disney if I got them up that early on vacation. If you have to get there one hour before the park opens so at 6am - you are waiting quite a long time to ride FOP by the time you're done - at least an hour right? If you like getting up early and everyone is on board and liking that - then it is not so bad. It's a neat ride but not worth it without a FP for us - YMMV.

Yes, this. I checked a date in June yesterday and there was still times available for the extended hours.
