My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Thursday, 1/8 On the following day, I had a Starbucks peppermint mocha and a cronut. I was feeling better, and I found them both delicious. It was my first cronut (we don't have them in Italy), but it won't be the last! :cloud9: I then had lunch at Tangerine Café, where I loved the chicken...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Wednesday, 1/7 On Wednesday I had (my last TS) breakfast at Crystal Palace. It was fantastic! Not fully realizing it, I got to the MK very early, and when I saw people entering through the Breakfast turnstile, I simply followed them and found myself in a completely empty Main Street...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

On Tuesday my day started with a 7 am breakfast at… Chef Mickey! I had lot of fun, especially with Pluto, who even danced a tango with me! :) I started with the mandatory coffee and OJ… Then I had (clockwise from top): cheesy potatoes (very good), delicious ripe fruit, cheese blinis...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Monday, 1/5 On the following morning, not to go too far, I decided to fully enjoy my staying at AKL and had breakfast at Boma. After a cup of coffee and the refreshing jungle juice… … and a watery bowl of oatmeal saved by an outstanding pecan sauce… … I had (counterclockwise from top)...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Sunday,1/4 My breakfast was a caramel macchiato at the Starbucks in USF. This was my first real Starbucks (we don’t have those in Italy) and I liked well enough… not nearly as much as (spoiler ahead J) the peppermint mocha I had in Epcot later in the trip, though. I guess this wasn’t special...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Saturday, 1/3 On Saturday, I lined up for Diagon Alley early entry at 6.50 am… actually I did not line up at all, because the turnstiles were already open and the initial queue absorbed inside the park. Crossing the park before dawn, taking (blurry) pictures of quiet, empty, and my first look...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Here come the reviews! Friday, 1/2 My trip started with quite a lot of airline food, as I had breakfast on a Milan – Frankfurt flight, mid morning snack in an airport lounge, lunch and dinner on a Frankfurt – Orlando flight! Whew! Luckily, everything was good… even very good in some cases...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

I am back! Well, I have been back for a few months now, but life got in the way…. Finally, I am ready to start my dining review! How did it go? Hmmm, a few days into the trip I got a flu, and unfortunately lost any interest into food… I even cancelled some of my precious breakfast pre-park...

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

I unfortunately don't drink wine (I know, strange for an Italian, and stranger for someone from my Northeastern region), but thanks for your great suggestions!

My Chakalaka, Churro and Cheeseburger Challenge - CRYSTAL PALACE AND AN IMPOSSIBLY EMPTY MAIN STREET

Hello and welcome to my third dining review! I am Alby, an Italian 30 – something mother of 2 :wave2:. I have never gone to Disney World with my family (this will soon change… I hope!), but I have managed quite a few solo trips when I was in the US for business reasons. I will be in the...

    Best book?

I love both the Unofficial Guide and Passporter, but I prefer the first as it's more thorough. If you prefer a book with less than 800 pages :rolleyes1 , the new "The easyguide to your first WDW visit" from Josh, the guy at easywdw.com, is great! :goodvibes For a more humorous take, I love...

Bike rentals, golf carts and other transportation musings

Thanks everyone! I am actually thinking about renting a bike from offsite, Orlando Bike rentals and Buena Vista scooters both provide the service and delivery. We'll see... :-)

Bike rentals, golf carts and other transportation musings

Thanks a lot! :-) Re golf carts, I do have a driving license, but I haven't driven for 5 years and I wouldn't feel confident driving a car on the road. I was just wondering if golf carts are easier (should be?) and could be a feasible option. Thanks!
