First are there any discounted 1 day tickets and does Disneyland have non expiering tickets. I would buy non expiering if they are available.:confused3

There are not any non-expiring tickets at Disneyland.

There are VERY few options if you're looking for a discounted 1-day ticket. Some employers offer a small discount (a few bucks), and there are discounted 1-day tickets for some conventions and special events, but for the most part, that's the price you'll find anywhere.

I believe that technically an older Disneyland admission ticket (from way back when one needed ride coupons) won't expire. I'm also thinking there used to be admission tickets that don't expire, but they haven't been sold/issued in a couple of decades at least.

I've heard reports that the older tickets can be exchanged for single-park tickets only for the original Disneyland park. Some actually come up for sale on eBay or Craigslist as collectors items and sometimes the sale price is less than regular admission prices.

Another option that helps some guests, is to use a day off a WDW non expiring hopper pass. I have done this, and it works great when you only need a one day pass at DL. (some of us buy the WDW 10 day no expires to use on a couple of different trips, cheaper than buying several 3/4/5 day passes)

You cant use DL passes at WDW, but you can use WDW passes at DL.

I believe that when you have older admission tickets, they credit you the value of the original ticket and then you must pay the difference of what the new ticket is, so no savings.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will post soon to correct me.

This was my experience using old admission tickets at WDW this past summer, with really old (purchased in 99 i think) park hoppers that still had days left on them: I went to the ticket counter at Animal Kingdom (our first park) and the CM scanned them to find out how many days were left (because I had no idea) and then she replaced them with newer tickets, for no charge and they were still valid. I think at that point though, the new hopper rules applied (all days must be used within 13 days of first use, but the same person, etc). They did not make us pay any difference or anything. It was kind of crazy though, because the tickets were 5 day park hoppers that originally cost $178 or so. My parents had saved them from a family trip when I was in 6th grade, and my BF and I were able to use up the remaining days when we went over 10 years later, since they had been purchased prior to the park hopper rules being enforced.

However, this could certainly be different at DLR!

Do they have Military discounts?

For one-day military tickets (and I'm not sure how much of a savings there is. For my base, I save 25 cents lol), you'd have to buy them on a military base. They do have a 3-day military ticket that is $125 that you can buy at the ticket booths, but all other military tickets must be purchased on a base.
