SDD 7/5
And ALien Swirl Saucers 7/8( the abbreviation lol, nope can't post)
:flower1:

Congrats on the FPs! You will be on your way before you know it. Have a great time :yay:.

Ummm......lol and still to long of a wait......151 days to go, no summer trip this year:furious: and that has me feeling like :tigger: I might start bouncing off the walls soon!!!

Hope the days go fast for you! :goodvibes

Had a outer building club level room reserved for Thanksgiving week. The 20% fall discount came out and I called to get it, club level room not an option, but for saving $1400, I took garden view. I guess that will buy me lots of treats and go towards the next vacation. A little disappointed not to be club level, but it will be the Grand Floridian! :o

Congrats on the FP’s. Have a good time. I know the abbreviation for alien swirl saucers is well...:sad2:

I have seen on other boards the recommended abbreviation is AS2.
 They sure overlooked abbreviations on that one. Should have named Alien Flying Saucers!

We got FP for Aug trip for both A** & Slinky Dog. Guess we will RD TSMM!

Lots of treats for a “GRAND” vacation!!!!!

My husband and I are staying at GF for the first time this September. We were supposed to stay a few years ago but ended up having to cancel and I was so upset to have missed the opportunity. We are going for the first time on an adults only trip to celebrate our 12th anniversary. We managed a CL room in the main building. I was wondering if all the rooms have “a view” or should we put in a request (I know they can’t always honor them but it’s nice to plant a seed). We feel very blessed to be at a point where we can take bigger better vacations but we are novices and don’t know the first thing about how to maximize our club level experience. Would love any info and tips from those who visit here frequently. Over the moon excited about our upcoming trip!
We had room 4319 with a nice view of the grounds and Courtyard Pool. It was a quiet location on 3rd floor but close enough to stairs or elevator up to 4th floor lounge. CL Desk is on 3rd floor opposite elevators.

Some years ago we stayed in the room next door - 4320. As you say, it is a lovely, bright room in a central spot with a pleasant view of the Courtyard Pool. Great for people watching and for getting to and fro. The only downside for our room was the noise. 4320 is not that quiet. There are two games tables nearby. You can hear little kids slapping down checkers et al from VERY early morning hours. During our stay, we also heard every word from the neighbours. This was particularly nasty one night as the father screamed insults and threats at his family and you could hear doors slamming and glass breaking. It got so bad that we feared for the kids and the mother and called for hotel security. The father was escorted out. The room is very nice, but that incident darkened our view.

Oh how awful! Fortunately we didn’t have noisy neighbours. On either side of us. And never heard any noise from checkers table either.
We had the neighbours from hell once at POR. Lucky for us it was our last day when they moved in. Let their kids run wild shrieking and screaming. I think they were with another family a few doors down cause there were 4 or 5 of them. Running back and forth down the corridor, slamming doors....ugh.

Ugh! You wonder if this is how some people behave at home. Their vacation behaviour leaves a lot to be desired. For the most part, we have been fortunate with guest rooms and neighbours. You certainly don't mind exuberance from fellow guests. But, sometimes you do wish that people could come with a mute button. :D

How are Theme Park Views in main building? In a perfect scenario we would stay main building but it is not available our whole stay so currently I have a Sugar Loaf reservation.

I was playing around online this morning and I can get a main building theme park view for our first night or last night...would it be worth it to pack up and move rooms for one night? We have 3 little ones and spend a lot of time using the lounge as we are not open to close park people

I know there are chocolate eggs on display at Easter and food art on display for food and wine and other festivals. Are there any chocolate sculptures on display in the lobby during "normal" times of year? Working on a GF scavenger hunt for the kids 1st GF visit.

I would say no. You can go to the walkway along the marina close to Gaspys to watch the fireworks. Gaspys patio is very close to Sugar Loaf.
What time do you arrive. If you decide to I’d book arrival day if you have an early arrival. And just only unpack necessary items. The following day you have access to the lounge till midnight. I know you’ll have Sugar Loaf lounge but RPC is a lot nicer.

Our flight lands at 10 am and our departure is at 5 pm. We have 3 littles a 4 yr old, twin 2 yr olds, I was thinking seeing the fireworks from the room would be nice since the twins typically go to bed by 7 pm.

Maybe try for arrival day. You can just live out of suitcase for the 1 day, then settle in when you move toSugar Loaf
Plus you’ll get the RPC lounge for 2 days really as you get to use lounge on second day till midnight.
And get to watch the fireworks from balcony at least one night.

Is there room and/or is it allowed to have rollaway in 2 queen regular outer room? My children don't like to touch each other...lol
