I got my kids longboards at Zumiez. We have Arbors and Sector 9 boards. But the graphics are a very personal choice.
DS18 has one with a tree, DH has a wave, DS13 has a skater, DS12 has a kanji sign, DD's is plain, the one I want has a pin up girl.

Do you know what she would like?

I have no idea what she would like! She wants one to use to get around her college campus. At least now I have a place to start to look and then I can snoop around and see what kind she would like to have!

My DD is 11 and she loves doing her nails. I am buying her stamping plates and the stamper, dotting tools and a bunch of polish.

DD16's big gift might be tickets for her and her father to see the play, If Then with Idina Menzel. That is if the show is appropriate for a 16yo. Anyone have an opinion on that?

I ordered a bunch of nail stuff off ebay last year for my dd.

This year she's really into Henna tattoos, so I plan to look for the stuff to do that for her. Someone gave her a cone of the dye and she's pretty good at it!

I know she would love this one. I know nothing about these. This says its a skateboard, would this be not a good buy since she said she wanted a long board? As I was poking around the site, I also found matching shoes with it, so she would really like those too! As you can see, she is kind of a girly, girl, but I don't want to buy her something that she wouldn't want.

DH and DS18 said a shorter board with a narrower trucks is going to be a little squirrely. If she's not an experienced rider she might fall a lot.
DH recommended a 27-31 inch long board.

She has never used one before, but all of her friends use them to get around the campus at her college is why she wants one now. I think I will take your idea and just give her money and the shoes. There is a good chance there will be snow on the ground and she wouldn't be able to use it right away at Christmas time anyway! Thanks for all of your help!!!

DD15 wants ski pants that are skinny not puffy. She is a casual skier but wants to join ski club this year etc. Anyone have a recommendation?

Joining in. DD13 is pretty easy to buy for (unfortunately - as it is easy to pick things for her then I have way too much and have to buy more for DS15 who is not quite as easy..)

So, far for DD I have a Coach Purse. She has a few of them already. Got it online at the Outlet for $35. She really likes art and drawing so I got her this 50 Piece Anniversary Spirograph. It was on QVC - I know she will have fun with that. She was watching the show also and had no idea what a Spirograph even was...

Other things she wants is a Fitbit, Northface Fleece Jacket, Clothes. She wants new Uggs but is saving her money and will be able to buy them in another week or so. (Her and DS15 clean the office building where I work and each get $40 a week for about an hours worth of work - so that is nice for extra money for them)

I usually get her and her brother a bunch of different gift cards too. We have lots of places within walking distance. So, places like Noodles, Chipotle, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Skiing GC, Outlet Mall Simon GC, Aero, Target, Etc.

One year that was their main gift because they already had all the big electronic items. So, I got them each a small photo album and filled each pocket with either a gift card or scratch off lottery ticket (they have fun with those).

Love the idea of the photobook with the gift cards/scratch offs. Definitely gonna do that. I don't have a teen yet(just turning 12 today) but getting some good ideas from here.

DD16 has asked for the giant 53" teddy bear from Costco. It's $29.99 and oh so soft and cuddly. She took a photo with it LOL Her 13yo sis asked for one too

I have three teen girls. DD15 (sixteen right after Christmas) has asked for mostly band shirts and cds. Other than that she wants a few dvds, hot topic stuff and a little makeup. So far I have a Led Zepplin T shirt and Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland. She will probably get a fair amount of those things.
DD17 has various wants. Im probably getting her an android phone and several of the nerdy t shirts, EOS, bath and body works stuff and etc. that is on her list. So far I have a bottle of perfume, sock monkey earbuds, makeup set and frozen dvd.
DD18 (well she will be in a month) asked for tablet but shes getting one for her birthday from grandma and grandpa. She also has lots of hot topic stuff some HP stuff, lots of flavoed chapsticks, etc. So far she has advd although I cant remember which one.

DD15 has asked for an electric violin, various sheet music books, fortune cookie brand soaps and hand sanitizers, most of nearly anything Hot Topic carries... or anything from Think Geek, and a hoodie from a school she goes to.

good idea on the gift cards! i totally forgot there was a Coffee Kiosk on her school campus and i know that'll be an awesome stocking stuffer! i'll probably get her movie tickets for the hobbit movie coming out around then too.

i shop year round for little things here and there for stocking stuff and so far i've got a tardis necklace, a doctor who t shirt, harry potter stuff, some anime figurines, and some violin accessories.
