Conversation between me and dd tonight:
dd: Mom, is that war still going on?
me: Yes, it is.
dd: But when will it be over?
me: I don't know, hopefully soon.
dd: Why don't they stop? Alot of good people are going to die. (this is the 2nd time she has told me good people are going to die in the war)
me: They will stop, when our country feels they should and yes,
good people are going to die. (I didn't tell her people have already died)
dd: Why?
me: Because they are trying to help our country and another country. Sometimes bad things happen to good people.
dd: I feel sorry for them.
me: Me too.
*sigh* she is growing up way too fast. My answers may not be the most eloquent, but I try to keep my answers brief for her age level and that seems to satisfy her.
How are you parents handling this with your children?
