We are going to disneyworld for the 1st time with my 5 yr old daughter for 3 days starting November 18th. We want to do something involving the princesses. What is there? breakfast? meet the princesses? And where can I sign up and pay for that now?

There are meals at cinderellas castle and Norway in epcot but good luck getting reservations. Cinderella sells out six months in advance. You might be able to get somethig at Norway but probably not at a desirable time.

wow- had no idea I had to make reservations that far in advance. Is there a meet and greet I can sign up for? something else other than a meal?

Yes you can meet the princesses. In MK there are a bunch in one area. I believe you can even fastpass to meet them but then you can't fastpass a ride until at least 2 hours later. Also in Epcot you can meet snow white, sleeping beauty and belle in their respective countries. You can't get reservations to meet them, you have to wait on line.

I would highly recommend you pick up a guide book. I like unofficial guide and passporters. A little planning can really improve your trip.

I did a quick check for you dates and as expected, there are no princess meals available (although there are character meals at Tusker House and Hollywood and Vine but they don't have princesses) for your dates. If you DD wants to meet the princesses, I would recommend you get a fastpass at Magic Kingdom and do the Princess Meet & Greet. As a PP said, I would also recommend you pick up an Unofficial Guide to WDW or something similar. There is an art to planning a trip to Disney World and the more you know, the better off you will be! I would also recommend that if you would like to eat at any sit down restaurants, you need to start looking on the WDW website and making reservations.

I don't know which Princesses are her favorites, but I would highly recommend spending some time in World Showcase at Epcot in the afternoon. You can see Snow White, Mulan, Belle (blue dress), Jasmine (sometimes with Aladdin), and Aurora/Sleeping Beauty in the different countries and the afternoon. The lines for the princesses aren't usually that bad there. Be aware that they do come and go. You will want to get the times guide, and if it doesn't have the specific times they are out (i.e. if it says 11-5, in stead of something like 11, 12:30, 1:30, 2.30 etc), you might want to check with guest services to find the specific times so that you don't miss the ones you really want to see as you are walking through the countries.

If your DD wants to see Cinderella (and you can't get a meal booked), then you will have to see her at the MK (on Main Street currently). They have fast passes for that meet and greet now to make it easier. I haven't been there since it became fast pass. Every time we have done the Princess meet and greet at MK it has been Cinderella, Belle (yellow dress), and Aurora/Sleeping Beauty. You will also be able to find Tiana and Rapunzel in other places in the park.

I would suggest that you get online several times a day on the Disneyworld website (where you make dining reservations) and see if you might be able to pick up a cancellation at either Cinderella's Royal Table at MK (there is just something about eating in that castle as well as seeing the princesses while there), or Akershus in Epcot. Cancellations do happen, but in my experience, it takes quite a bit of persistance to find one. Both restaurants have Princesses at breakfast, lunch and dinner. My DD is 5 too, and she just loves those meals. If she is a Cinderella fan, you might also try for 1900 Park Fare's dinner at the Grand Floridian. The other restaurants have multiple characters, but 1900 Park Fare is just Cinderella characters. You will see Cinderella, the Prince, and the Stepmother and Stepsisters there. DD likes that one too as she is a huge Cinderella fan.

Good luck!

I just got back yesterday. We did both the Cinderella ROyal Table dinner and the Akerhaus dinner. We also saw the princesses at MK. We went around 9:20 and did not do fastpass. It took less than 5 minute wait to get into see the princesses. We then went to see Mickey and Minnie who are in the same area. That line took about 15-20 minutes. We also saw Ariel and Prince Eric in Adventure land in the afternoon and waited 30 minutes(mainly because they had gone on break). Then went to the Faires( TInkerbell and Vidalia) that was a long 30 mintue wait as the line barely moves, but they spent a lot more time with the kids than the other princesses. The line to Rapunzel looked scary long so we skipped that. We also saw Jasmine and Aladdin by the Magic Carpet ride and that line took 10 minutes.

I was very surprised while waiting in line for the Akerhaus meal that people were coming up without reservations and getting told they could get in , but had to come back in 40 minutes. In the 20 minutes I had to wait(with reservations), I saw/heard 3 families come up and get a time to come back without having a reservation. I wouldn't count on it, but you could try. It was a Monday night if that matters. I also saw 2 people come into the BB Boutique on Friday and get appointments for their girls without a reservation, but then the 3rd person who stopped by was turned away. I always thought that without a reservation there was no chance to get in, but that wasn't what I experienced.

You will also find the princesses around world showcase, sleeping beauty is in france, snow white germany, belle's in frnace as well i think.
