We are trying to add our adult son to our room at NPB - room only

We phoned DLP a few wks ago and were told it was cheaper to add him with ticket and would be £90 and we could do this anytime up to 2 days before we went. It would be more expensive without ticket.

As we have only just found out yesterday that he is definitely coming with us we phoned this morning to add him on and were quoted £90 with ticket but if we wanted to add him without ticket we could just do it when we book in and would only need to pay local taxes of a few Euros.

We are now unsure what to do as this is different to what we were told last time. We dont want to turn up and find we've to pay even more but dont want to pay £90 if we dont need to. The reason we want it without ticket is because it was cheaper to book package with 40% off than room only with APs so we have tickets we dont need anyhow

I think we will possibly phone again tomorrow to see what they say

If it's only £90 can I come too?? :rotfl2:

hiya
when we went at easter, i booked just for me and the boys, and then dh came for 1 night but needed no ticket.
i phoned and asked about this, and they said it wud only be taxes, but as it was only one night, it was at discretion of the hotel - so i asked could they check, and they came back with there was nothing to pay and he wud be ok.

and, he was. we had no probs, and he got thru the barriers ok even tho we were in sep cars.

i wud assume that u wud have very little to pay, and maybe phone up the hotel itself to ask???

as i say, we had no probs, but it was only 1 night.

Thanks I remembered you had very little to pay but wondered if it was because you were a single adult so may have paid a supplement in the first place

i dunno tbh but i know i was surprised when they said nothing, so i made them check!! the guy i spoke with did contact the hotel just to make sure, and he also siad i could have arranged it when arriving, but i didnt want to make that chance!!

I have had a similar experience with booking. I have booked a CC room for one night in November, but it is in the names of my 2 sisters. I was told to book it that way - then to add Dtr & I on later and we will pay local tax only as we have APs. It is a bit worrying, because we are not technically booked in and I am sure something will go wrong at the last minute, but if others have had the same advice, perhaps I should relax about it. :confused3

We are just on the phone now trying to sort it and been told the same

If we add him now we have to do it with ticket and will cost £90 or we turn up on the day and add him for a few Euros - local tax with no ticket

I think we are just going to have to risk it - however we are now checking out the price to upgrade to Admiral Floor after reading the other thread so dont know if that will make a difference

Would you still get breakfast then? or just a room to sleep in:confused3

Assuming breakfast as well but I'll let you know next week :rotfl:

We have just upgraded to Admirals floor and again no need to add him on now just do it when we arrive

If you book room only, the price is higher than booking with a package (bizarre). We booked one person in the room with the package, and the rest of the party in the room are added as occupants only. The addition of the others was at no extra costs, except for small local taxes - although we will need to buy them passports to get in the park.

Maybe he can just watch you eat. Better take some food bags in case you need to smuggle him a croissant or two:lmao:

b y no ticket, do you mean he got a free ticket into the parks?

I believe scampbunny's husband already had his park ticket organised, thats why he didn't need one included with the hotel room.

thanks elaine - ur quite right - he had his ticket from the offer that eurotunnel were doing at the time :)

and smallworld - dh did get breakfast, as the breakfast tickets u have dont show how many ppl, and they do not check anything else!!!

well we managed to book DS in fine. It cost us 5.50Euros for 5 nights. They changed the easy pass to say 4 people instead of 3 and printed us an extra one so DS has one as well

He has had his value already with free drinks and chocolates in the bar this afternoon
