Has anyone looked into buying or has bought an American policy for visitors to the USA thru an American company for emergency medical? All the Canadian policies I’ve seen has that clause that won’t let you travel to an area with a travel advisory issued by the Canadian government but the American policies dont have it. We have cancelled our August trip to Disney so don’t need insurance at the moment but we have time share in SC and the Canadian government put a travel advisory on the whole state of SC for hurricane irma even tho our area was unaffected and it rendered our insurance void so we have ran into this before.
https://www.atlasamericainsurance.net/atlas-america-insurance/buy/ is one company but there are others that offer policies. I know with COVID-19 things are all over the place but wondering if anyone has gone this way before? I know companies here offer insurance for visitors to Canada. Even tho the border may open the government may still keep that travel advisory on for a long time.
