Any benefits of renewewing Seaworld pass, or purchase a new one?

HI Have a pass from 2 years ago-couldn't go last year due to covid. Is there any benefit of renewing it, or should I just purchase a new one?
Also, I thought when you purchased a pass, it started on the day you purchased, not first day of use, has that changed? If we're going this summer, then I would hold off for awhile to purchase-thanks, tried calling but was on hold forever!
