Any recent experiences with VIP tour?

I have searched this topic but all the threads are from years ago. We are thinking of doing a VIP tour day on our December trip. We would like to do all 4 parks. MK and DHS (specifically GE and of course I would have to ride SDD at least twice)

I was thinking of doing a decent breakfast on our own and then meeting the guide. I would like to finish the day seeing fireworks at MK which may have to be HEA as we are already doing MVMCP another night.

Has anyone does this? All 4 parks. Any advice, experiences would be appreciated?

There is only 3 of us so I was also considering seeing if another family wanted to join us. Any experiences with this?

We are doing it in Nov. I think all 4 parks would be very tiring, but if you think you're family is up to the challenge, I say go for it!

We are doing DHS, AK and MK. We have reservations for Oga's, so we are working around that. Our guide is picking us up at 10am at our resort.

We've done the Day of Thrills tour before and that was exhausting. It was definitely worth it though. We rode 11 attractions in 6 hours, 3 parks. I'm using that experience as a starting point for this VIP tour.

Here's what I'm hoping we will accomplish:

Galaxy's Edge (thinking this will take a while - maybe 1-2 hrs?)/Oga's
Toy Story Land attractions
Tower of Terror
Rockin Roller Coaster
Flight of Passage
Navi River Journey
Expedition Everest
Kilimanjaro Sarafis
Seven Dwarves Mine Train
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh

We aren't doing EP because we will spend the day there for FWF.

Enjoy your tour!

We have done all four parks in one day on more than once on VIP tours. We don't stop to eat during the tour - breakfast before we start and dinner after we stop - just snacks along the way / in the car from park to park. Obviously we don't ride everything, but we have managed to get in 15-18 rides (depending on who is with us).

We did a VIP tour this past week (just DH and me) and in 7 hours we did three parks. I would say if you are going to do your list you are going to need 9-10 hours. Right now you can do galaxy edge twice but there has to be at least an hour between rides. FP lines can be long and you will be doing a lot of walking to get from ride to ride and drive from one park to another.

I'm curious about your comment on Smuggler's Run at Galaxy's Edge. Since no one but VIP Tours and DAS can utilize the FP+ line there, how long was your wait to get on the ride? We are doing a VIP tour in December and trying to get a sense of timing. Thank you for any information you can provide!

I was recently informed (via another website) that right now they are telling VIP CMs that their tours can only ride Smugglers Run once per tour. Apparently some of the CMs were allowing their guests to go more than once per hour which is against the rules, so now they are limiting it to once per tour. They are trying to appease whoever is in charge of deciding whether or not ROTR gets included in VIP tours.

The VIP tour is out of our budget for our trip but just thought I would share that data point if it makes a difference to anyone.

Thanks for the info. One ride on Smugglers Run is good for me!

We did a tour at the end of August. We had the Tour Guide meet us in Animal Kingdom after having lunch at Tusker House around one. We rope dropped AK, and rode EE (4X), KS and Dinosaur prior to lunch. After lunch we hit up Pandora for those rides, and then moved along. We hit the other three parks, and most of the rides listed above (save Smuggler's Run, it wasn't open yet), and got in the VIP section for the fireworks. Overall, we hit 22 rides (all the headliners, and a couple of others). We did spend 9 hours on the tour, so we did pay a bit more, and we were exhausted after, but it was probably the best day we had. Here was the itinerary:

AK
1. FOP
2. NRJ

HS
3. ToT
4. RnRC
5. TMM
6. SDD
7. AS2

EP
8. Soarin'
9. TT
10. FEA

MK
11. SM
12. Winnie the Pooh
13. LM
14. SDMT
15. BTMR
16. Splash Mountain
17. PoTC

Sounds like a great day!

We did a VIP tour last November. We stayed in Magic Kingdom and not everything was a headliner, but we were able to hit 20 rides plus two snack breaks in 7 hours. I am going by memory, but I believe this was what we did on the tour:

Pirates
Magic Carpets
Splash x2
BTMR
Haunted Mansion x2
Peter Pan
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Little Mermaid
7 Dwarfs Mine Train
Princess Fairytale Hall
Pooh
Tea Party
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Tomorrowland Speedway
Astro Orbiter
Buzz
Splash again

We met the tour guide after breakfast and scheduled fastpasses for after the tour ended. We ate dinner after that and stayed for the Christmas party, so it was a very busy day. We were exhausted! The tour guide was great. We gave him a list of what we wanted to accomplish and he planned it out to be as efficient as possible.

This is a great idea! Definitely something to look in to! Although we may do EPCOT as our starting park because really we only are interested in TT and FEA. But for sure we would finish our day in the Magic Kingdom. I have been plotting this for a few days so I am going to re-look at this idea :)

We waited about 10ish minutes before we got into the preshow area. You can get a pilot, gunner or engineer card and then you wait to enter you ship. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions just ask!

As of our tour last week, we did smugglers run twice with at least an hour between rides.

I can't rave about this experience enough! We had a group of 8 adults (all our kids and friends are older) and we did all 4 parks, every single ride we wanted to, some multiple times. To get "backstage" and met with water and snacks and escorted in back doors and bypass insane lines was the best.
We didn't have kids with us and are a fast moving group so requested a young, very energetic true Disney believer and we got the BEST! We were her official her last tour as she had been promoted to a management position at Animal Kingdom.

She was hilarious. She was beyond an expert. We all loved her so much.
There is a Facebook group specifically set up for groups sharing a Plaid. Since there are only 3 of you that might make sense.
I say DO IT! You won't regret it.

The VIP guides cant get you anything in Galaxy's Edge right? No rides are fast pass. Was there a benefit to the guide foe Star Wars?

There are no FP for guests without a vip tour guide. Our guide took us to a separate line for the ride and the cm at smugglers run let us all up a separate line from those waiting. If you are talking about making light sabers or the other stores we did not ask to do that and I don’t think there are fp’s for those stores or the restaurant.

Found out from a VIP tour guide that during Columbus Day the VIP tours were limited to one Smugglers run ride per day and now that the holiday is over it is back to one ride per hour. If anyone is doing a tour during peak times you might check with the VIP tour office to see if there will be any ride limitations

Curious how this worked out for you... We are looking at quite a similar itinerary for our VIP tour in a few months. We would cut out some of the MK attractions in favor of the VIP Happily Ever After viewing area.
