any success cancelling priceline? How did you do it?

As to oversold flights, Priceline-ticketed passengers are entitled to the exact same re-accommodations and compensation as any other passenger. If the passengers to which you refer were treated differently, then they were at the mercy of an ill-informed airline employee, not due to Priceline's rules.

I've heard countless accounts of Priceline-ticketed passengers voluntarily electing to be bumped, for compensation up to $1,000!! One even took multiple bumps and earned vouchers totalling $2,200, all on a Priceline ticket.

The rental companies!! PL didn't go out and measure the trunks themselves, they got that information from Hertz, Avis, etc. The websites of those companies carry the exact same sizing charts (this car holds "x" bags) as shown on PL's website.
If I were you, I'd call the rental company directly and tell them that you'd like to upgrade. I'm sure it's possible, after all, the company should want to satisfy their customer, right? It'll cost you though, so try and negotiate.

This is wonderful news! congrats!
it is irregardless of what class of svc your tkt is as to what reaccommodations that you get on your next flight.it usually depends on what flight is available to say what you are reaccommondated on! in fact when I have had to reaccommodate someone I usually give them an option of what I have had. then let them choose what best suited them.

Never, Never use priceline!! Do your own travel reseach on the web and try a local travel agency. Never get suckered into a non cancelable transaction, the savings, if any, are not worth it.

First let me say "you are not getting suckered on priceline". You go to priceline on your own will and you the consumer are the one who decides if they want to use priceline. Priceline has simple clear instructions on each page on how you bid and it is your choice to bid. You are not suckered into bidding. I respect your opinion because it looks like you might not have read the rules and regs on priceline site and may have placed a bid without reading the rules and either received an airline not to your liking or a hotel. Give us the details to analyize because there are a lot of happy priceline bidders who are satisfied with their services and did not get "suckered' as you put it because we made educated decisions before placing the bid.

I would also like to add that I am a very satisfied Priceline user, although only for hotels. I consider myself fortunate to have stumbled upon TravelSheryl's Priceline board. It gave me the knowledge I needed to get some great deals!
