Has anyone entered the Pillsbury Bake-Off? Would you like to share your recipe? How far did you get?
I entered for the last one and for this years contest. I got as far as, we received you receipe stage. LOL.
SLOPPY DOUGH BOYS 2002
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup onion, dice into 1" pieces
1/2 cup celery, dice into 1" pieces
1/2 cup green pepper, dice into 1" pieces
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 (10 oz) can Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Crust
orange slices (garnish)
1.) Preheat oven to 450 oF. In a food processor, mince onion, celery and pepper. In a 10" skillet over medium high heat, brown hamburger with onion, celery and green pepper. Drain out oil. Add tomato sauce, water, brown sugar, salt and pepper to skillet, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
2.) Unroll pizza dough and cut in 9 equal rectangles. Do the same for the other dough for a total of 18 rectangles. Place each into a greased muffin pan making sure it remains a rectangle. Mote some of the muffin cup will be exposed. Fill each of the dough lined cups with the meat mixture.
3.) Bake at 450 oF for 7 minutes or until golden brown. Garnish with orange slices.
