Toppnish, WA Where the West Never Left

Does anyone know anything about this place??

Top*****h? Only thing I associate with that is that it's near Yakima, hot and dry in summer, tumbleweeds. You hear about it in connection with migrant farm workers and the apple crops.

Why?

edit: now why in the world does it not let you write out the name, substituting asterisks instead? Hmmm .. it's Top pen ish

Some good wine and fruit can be found in Top*****h, WA. A small town, but I think they have their own High School.

yes that is where but the board won't let you spell it that way.

Help??? Don't drink alcohol

OK, What did you do, see, go? What was fun? what was not fun?

Any must do's?

I have never even been close to this place. Don't know anything?

Help Please???????

Downtown Top*****h has 100+ murals painted on the sides of the buildings. You can get a list and do a self tour of all or some of them. Or there is a horse drawn wagon tour that is really fun and interesting.

If you are a gambler, Top*****h is where Yakama Indian Nation's casino is.

There is also Yakama Indian Nation Heritage Museum. Indian culture, lots of taxadermy animals, interesting.

Nearby there is a town called Granger that has 10 or so giant dinasor statues. Interesting for the kids. But beware if you are there in the summer, the dinasors are very very hot to the touch and even though, the kids will insists on climbing on them!

Check out the link above, choose the Yakima wine valley, a great area for wine tasting! You can probably find a company out of Yakima that does tours.

How long are you there and do you want to do day trips? Not too far to drive down to the Columbia Gorge, hit Bingen, WA, then go over to Hood River, OR. A nice full day trip.

The Yakima valley also is home to a lot of orchards.

It is not the largest of towns, but not far from Yakima or Tri-Cities.

This is for the Yakima Valley Visitors Center. Has information on hiking trails, produce maps, and all sorts of other things throughout the valley. It is very easy to get between towns, a main highway runs through the valley and it is a rural area, so not a lot of traffic.

HA HA!! I Live minutes from there! Thanks for the thought. I love you had on your thinging hat!!

We will be there 3 days!

I just wanted to add that I think I figured it out....it won't let you spell it out because if you look closely "top pen ish".....hidden in the middle is another word for a male appendage. :rolleyes1

Man I need to find something better to do.
