I think the time has come to plan a DIS meet for our area. I will be going to WDW in Feb. It looks like Tammy will be going to DL/DCA in Feb, and I think Tia is possible making a trip around that time. I know I would love to hear and see people's experiences at the new park.

So, what time frame would be good ? I am wondering about mid March or early April ? Since people will be driving.....should we make a few events over a weekend ?
Who would be interested and what time frame would work for you ?

Thanks for the invite to come over here Judy. I'am confused about the meet though would it be in Disneyland or WDW or in Boise? I think it would be fun sometime to meet people in our ares too who love disney. I've only met one person who is half as crazy about Disney as me and my husband. Thats a lady named Peggy at the Disney store.I'm not a good or fast typer so I stay away from chat rooms and I only found this site by sheer acident I was looking for Disney info on yahoo and this address popeed up as one to try. Tried it first and never have tried the others. I have learned more from these boards than any book I've read so far. And laughted harder than at any commedy. I still say all tthese posts should be compiled into a book sometime. Anyway keep me posted of you cant find me on the boards feel free to E-mail at lisabutte@yahoo.com
Thanks again. We leave 12\08 aand it seems time has now stood still.

Glad you found us both times ! I am right there with you ! I am a horrible typists too and have never "chatted" so don't feel left out.
I am talking about a meet in Boise.

ps. I know that meets should be posted on the Community Board, but I am asking for special DISpensation since lots of people I am trying to reach only read this board with regularity. ( and what are they thinking ? ;) )

Opps I forgot to mention my brother in law is the head artichect for the California Escape. He was gonna send us somestuff. I used to like Disneyland but the last few times it had gone down hill not the rides mind you but the CMs. I think the ones at WDW should train all cast members everywhere. Or maybe we just had bad luck at Disneyland. So thats why we spend and extra couple thousand to fly and stay at WDW instead of driving or flying to Disneyland and staying with family. But maybe will try it one last time.

I actually have always had better CM luck at DL, It must be luck of the draw. That is so neat about your BIL. One of my neighbors was the "expert" to make sure they got the Dinosaur skin "right" at AK.

Hi everyone.

Sometime the end of March beginning of April on a Saturday sounds good for us. That will give us a disney fix between our Feb trip and our May trip. I'll probably be taking lots of pictures duing the DCA AP preview so this will be a good excuse to get them developed. Just let us know when and where (and how to get there). Lets include any DISers from Washington too although for some of them it may be a far drive unless ALaska Airlines has a good sale.

Tammy

Absolutly ! lets include anyone willing to come !How would Sat March 17th be ? it is Saint Patricks day so, wearing lime green would be easy !

Sounds good to me unless we have a late breaking snow storm but hey I'll just break out the snow shoes (anything for disney). Seriously March 17th is great. Just let us know where and when and we will be there.

Tammy

March 17th is always a reason for DH and I to celebrate...it's our Anniversary! :D

Celebrating with other Disney folk would be a blast! :D

How much fun! I'm a senior in high school at Boise and I have a few fellow Disney freaks (and I mean FREAKS) who would love to meet with fellow fans! That would be a blast! March sounds good to me! Name the time and place and we'll be there! :D

THAT is Disney! ;-)

Any idea how far it is from Salt Lake City to Boise?! I'll have to get out a map, but it sounds like a possibility! March 17th is my DH's birthday!

Hey Liz, what better way than to celebrate with Disney "enthusiasts" (sp.?)...hope you can make it.

And what's this? We have more Boise people out there??? <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif" alt="red face"> This is wonderful!!!

March 17th it is....but where?

Hey Judy.

Do you think we could include any Washington DIS'ers? Silly question...of course we would. :)

We just have to get the word out.

Tia

Come one come all ! I think SLC is about a 5 hour drive.

I was wondering about the Red Robin on Park Center Blvd ? It has easy freeway access from Broadway, and would be very easy for a large group. But it might be pretty rowdy on Saint patty's day ?

Otherwise Jakers has that walled in room when you first walk in.

Throw me some suggestions ! And I'll get planning !

I think Red Robin sounds like a good idea. :)

We would definitely have to know how many so we could make a reservation...normally we probably wouldn't need one since I doubt our meet will be very big, but since it's St. Patty's Day Red Robin will be busy. :)

Okay, March 17th at Red Robin on Parkcenter Blvd. in Boise, Idaho...going once...

((do I hear anyone seconding this?))

Salt Lake City IS a five hour drive. I've done it many times. ;-) Red Robin would be fun. TGI Fridays also does a good job with groups. Or what about some of the new restaurants down by Edwards? I've heard their pretty cool. Just some suggestions! Is it OK if I come, even though I'm only 18? Just checking... :D

That would be greta ! We wont sit in the bar ! I think I will call RR, and get a ressie. Would people try to be driving up that day ?
There are two hotels that are very close if people wanted to share a room the night before...

should we start at 11:30, order lots of munchies, and visit the day away ? or should we think more like 2:00 ?to fit inbetween lunch and dinner crowds ?
